I always chuckle at your statement that these are edited videos! If only real life was as quick and simple as the finished video....but drying time alone is lengthy. These beds are so creative. I'm looking forward to watching the dressing video.

Yes I try be clear that these projects sometimes take several days, not minutes. I believe too often some DOLLS get frustrated when things don't move quickly or that there is a process to get a complete look. Everything is fast fast and quick quick, but the truth is the creative process takes TIME.....😊

Thank you for reminder to take our time while creating items for our mini scenes. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. Fast isn't always the best. Sometimes we just need to walk away and come back to the project later. We need to give our creative ideas time to develop and grow.

Absolutely! I had to learn that the hard way. I used to RUSH to create because i wanted to play with it... NOW! I ruined alot of materials, kits and supplies Daddy would buy for me. He wouldn't even get mad. He would just tell me to slow down, and that nice things take time. I did not want Not hear that!LOLOLOL!

These beds are GORGEOUS !!! The large one reminds me of an antique Eastlake design. TYVM for sharing. I, too, don't measure. I eyeball everything.

Thank you Kellie! I'm Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, we have to be patient with ourselves when we are learning something new. Sometimes you have to do it more than once, and you get better each time. Thank you for letting me know you heard me.

Love the simple yet effective detailing on the foot and headboards, I'm also a little envious of your tiny saw that you used in the beginning. Might have to be nice to hubby and get one for Mothers day hahaha

@@edenmarsh4127 Cute! I thought about that, but putting some draping tie-back curtains (or maybe a seedbead curtain ala boho) there. But decided to save floor space with the bed there instead. This is my first dollhouse and I'm nearly 60! How about you?

Gretchen I’m laughing I literally just made my first bed last night I did my side boards just like yours. I love your art déco beds it goes with your house perfectly . I’m making mine very Victorian I’m carving curved and peaked head boards. After watching you I’m defiantly making a carved raised center. I’m going to cross my fingers and going to try to make a copy of the head board and foot board again. Just to give you a quick idea . I tend to use chop sticks and carve them and use them as spindles ,legs and I’m using some as post on this bed I’m making. You probably know this but just in case, you should check them out. I absolutely love your bed brillant use of pieces thank you for sharing your knowledge. 💕💕💕💕💕

Grace that sounds so exciting! I would love to see it! Sounds BEAUTIFUL! I HAVE done Hand carved chair legs over the years. But I've never used chops. I do want to try some legs with my Dremel and spin them. I'm kind of impatient 🫢😅. So I haven't done it in a LONG TIME! EMAIL ME or send a pic through Little Gretchen's Workshop Facebook fan Page! I would love to see the bed!

I also used an X-ACTO saw blade,(without the handle) I can't find the handle). SMILING. But the Blue handle one is Swann Morton with #11 blade.
