I hope you enjoyed my mix of emotions from having to open this pattern. If you enjoy pattern content here is a playlist full of pattern videos: th-cam.com/play/PLaG2bBTXx7U74Wmx6LkyCC1NVgw6a1PqU.html
Not going to lie, I thought it was just blank tissue when you unwrapped it, then I remembered that many vintage patterns are "unprinted". I'm surprised the tissue is in such good condition! It doesn't look old at all.
It would have been great if you had actually made the skirt. Showing us how the pattern was used and compared information provided then and now. I really hope you will do a video like this in the future. I realise it would be a lot of work, but your expertise in vintage patterns would make it historically valuable as well as interesting.
Riveting to watch you opening up this historical artefact! 👍 I'd forgotten that they used to actually cut out the pattern pieces for the user in the dim and distant past...
2 questions....did you get the tape off without damage? and the most important question....are you going to make yourself a skirt with the pattern? I sure hope so...
Thank you so much! It really was as thrilling and terrifying as it looked. I had been dreading opening it for fear of it being some other random pattern.

While I'm not totally into sewing, patterns etc, I was excited and nervous to watch this one. So cool to see history 'unfold' 😉
Thanks! I was also both of those feelings.

The nervous quotes alone make this worth the price of admission.
Glad it read... oof!!

I have been so excited to watch this video and to see these old patterns because I heard they rarely had instructions and everyone was thin!
There are instructions, but they are scant. And huzzah for corsets to help create the desired silhouette!
Holy crap! That was very interesting to watch. Thank you so much for doing this!
Who could remember the good mic when you are about to open, for the first time, a 100 year old pattern. fun video!
Thank you so much!! It was terrifying and exhilarating.
I love loved that attic pick so much! So exciting!
Thank you so much! It was nerve-wracking but worth it.
Love!! also Love that you're wearing the New Dress you made.
Thank you so much!
Omg this is so cool!!!
Thank you so much! It was quite stressful.
What's the chance of there being a copy available? I love it !!! XX
Super cute are you going to be selling this pattern?
I was toying around with making a tracing and selling the tracing. Would you like one if I do that.
@@StephanieCanada I would be interested :-)
I'd be interested in that. It's my size too
perfect! either send me an email to my "contact me" here on TH-cam or DM me on Instagram @backroomfinds
I hope you traced this before you sold it... I’d have been as excited as you were!

I wish they still made pre-cut patterns. I truly detest cutting out pattern pieces. It is my actual least favorite part of sewing.
Oh me too! I would be tempted to buy new ones. But oh well, I love finding and selling vintage patterns for that very reason.
this was very exciting! And you safely discovered a treasure
Thank you so much! It really was as thrilling and terrifying as it looked. I had been dreading opening it for fear of it being some other random pattern.
like Laura Croft- match the puzzle pieces
Exactly! Except I don't have worry about the fear of imminent doom if I fail.
