This was my favourite lvl when I was a kid, cause it was the stage where the homing shots were really useful, I only had to switch when I had to blast through the nets. In all this was the lvl I loved above all.
I have this game for SNES. I don't think I've ever played on the hardest difficulty but I've beaten the game a fair amount of times. And my high score is something over 1,000,000. This game could be one of the best ever. The music is great, I can sit down and play this game for hours non stop sometimes (that's whenever I feel like pulling it out and playing my SNES, which is what I do every once in a while).
I had this game when I was a kid it was great.I also remember encountering a strange glitch, sometimes when I started the game it would ALWAYS start me on this stage for some reason, and resetting the game or turning it off and on wouldn't correct the problem it would simply go away after a few days. I never could figure out why it did that.
I can honestly say that I'm the proud owner of this shmup MASTERPIECE!the SNES shoulda have more shooters back then. IMO this version was 1,000,000 times BETTER(I can see da hate mail now)than the original TF3Genesis! I've passed it on maniac; but there's something bout the endsong on veryeasy that's, you know, type sublime...pass it on v-easy & you'll kno what I'm sayin.
err...The snes had more advanced sound capabilities...its the musician's way of composing what made it better. So even if it had worse sound capability...the music still FUCKING owned :P
snes could have been superior but not in everytwa, for example speed framrate animation things in screen and faster music well genesis just wins if coming to shooters even half baked genesis shooters are more paced up then this, shooters is genesis it's departhment and needs the synthesis sound not pitifull orechested songs that cost tons of space or Muffled metal loops like in revo x due cartridge limitations.this idd looks like a SMS brother of the md version.
I would have expected the SNES version to be of better quality than the legendary MegaDrive game due to the SNES's supposedly superior technology but this pales in comparison to the MegaDrive original. At first I thought it was a Master System version, it looks and sounds that bad. The music in particular is very poor. The Megadrive version buries this.

The poor pokey little SNES can barely keep up. It's still a pretty impressive conversion though.
Surprisingly the beginning is very similar to Super EDF's last stage...
