As AMG fans our issue is not with technical aspects of this car but it's more with the car it is trying to replace. V8 C63 was never about setting new records or being a technological marvel but it's how it makes us feel doing 50km down the road and feeling like a total bad ass. Does the new C63e make you feel like that? I bet not
Real car enthusiasts won’t buy this! A C63 AMG is a V8 or nothing. Just watch sales plummet. Mercedes need to wake up to themselves.

The car was all about the V8 engine brawl...they took it out. Better of now with the V6.

@@rombaft yes and it’s the repair cost of these screens when they all break. All in the name of green technology whatever that means. And MB CEO already announced they will cap their EV and PHEV vehicles and go back to traditional ICE vehicles because nobody wants to buy these cars

Maybe it would have worked better with a high revving 6 cylinder hybrid. The new 4 cylinder hybrid setup sounds like an A45S, it's so dull.
I'd go for a 911 turbo S instead.

Not sure what he is talking about when he says the old C63 is trying to kill you all the time. I'm comfort mode is like driving diesel. Granted, that mode is almost painful too drive around in, but I don't see how that could beat point of difference between the two from my own experience.
Looks cheap inside vs the M3
I'll say straight away that this is out of my budget but when all that f1 tech starts malfunctioning and those batteries need replacing neither will the people that can buy one. Sounds garbage, those screens that look like they've been bluetacked onto the dashboard look cheap despite the resolution.the tyres ,rotors and pads are something that'll be chewed through on something that's 2.1t. Can't help but wonder how good the thing would have been had they stuck the e turbo's on the old v8 and given it the latest chassis and electronics.
You can compare power output of the the W206 to W204 all you want. Boot both cars pass a group of people and see who responds to the sound. I know you don't want to step on MB toes but come on now. BMW should inviscerate C63e by putting their V8tt into an M3/M4 with xdrive. Call it the GTR and be an instant hit.
You can have just as much fun for less money with other brands without all the fake aounds nobody asked for.
The tech they put in there is still crazy.
I’m thinking about the longevity of the life of the motors; a lazy V8 vs a highly strung two-litre 4 cylinder.
It’s a financial stress approaching having to put braces on your two kids.

why's no one addressing this cars performance when the hybrids completely drained?
regenerative hybrid works well when you're on a circuit with braking zones every 5-15 seconds

Nobody's buying that car. It's not a C63, it's a C43. Bring back the V8 or stop calling it a C63.

All that extra power and all that extra weight only to have an identical 0-100kph time to a significantly less powerful M4 comp, and only 1 tenth of a second faster than the m4 in a quarter mile.
Spot on thank you, G80 has way more performance potential with mods aswell. Surely no one buys this car.

More power doesn’t mean anything when you rip the soul out of a car we all loved, I would rather buy an older C63 and be slower but that smile on my face will make it all worth it. That “F1 tech”will be outdated in 3-4 years. Mercedes has totally lost the plot with this one
Merc could have just move the current E63s drive train into the new C63s and call it a day.

I couldn't care about it being faster or better than the previous C63. The previous C63 had a personality.
This looks, sounds and feels... just cheap.
The inline 4 engine will never be warmed up well for short distances daily driving as the electric motor involved all the time
I must say ( for experience) the car is a absolute monster. No comparison between the old and the new model. One thing that is a bit ridiculous is when you put it in sport + or race is the added sound ( you can turn it off).
It is true that the sound in the old model is cool but a bit dated concept. This with no doubt the best Mercedes I have ever owned
I hear the battery pack is fire-risk. Hence why they have delayed the release, over and over again. I’ll stick with the old C63s, I like my home to be fire free
Isn't that typically an issue with all hybrids and EVs, hence all the cases of those cars setting on fire.
And how is a four cylinder an evolution from an eight cylinder? Electrification isn’t the way to go.

I've loved AMG models for years. But You talk evolution and the over use of F1 tech as a selling point. I think it's safe to say its a pretty special peice of kit no matter how you slice it.
But let's look at this for a min. It doesn't deserve the C63 badge. It's not a C63 anymore so as far as evolution goes mercedes would have alot more success retiring the 63 badge and sell this what it is. A F1 inspired A45 sedan. That's all I'm saying. But for now I'll be waiting for the rs7 performance with a V8 before we lose another legendary V8.
Not to mention the cost 😅
Let’s just call this car for what it really is, it’s a dud, period! And no fancy wording or philosophical theorizing behind the engineering is going to change it. And the sales figures, confirm this fact pretty accurately, no one wants it. And those who loved it are ditching the AMG brand and going over M3 and Audi RS5/4.

Too complicated car to be a sports car, too heavy to be enjoyed on the track, too powerful and too silent to be enjoyed in the public roads, too expensive for its value .. tasteless and with a lost identity even sugar coating won't help it

This guy is wrong about everything. First of all, we are not old enough to not know what we want as AMG fans. All we want is an AMG that you can drive slow and enjoy the engine. Not everything else you loved about this crap. Secondly now everyone like F1 tech. Mercedes was wrong for doing this to the c63 while the Gclass and the Sclass still have V8. Doesn't make any sense.

Whats the bet that when Mercedes give these away on the sweetest lease deal you have ever seen in history because sales are just not present the biggest actual c63e product that will be sold will be the actual badge - people will see these cars and immediately de badge it and well deserved to in every aspect. No matter how fast no matter how F1 not matter how electric it is , simply put this is the dumbest car of 2024 and should be wearing the badge of C i had no idea

Mercedes Benz Moto The best or nothing...well the new "C63" is nothing. Great looks and styling, would have been something with a proper M177 engine. It's an expensive Camry to drive around town and has no emotion, no proper sound (except farting noises) but has the acceleration of an EV... so what. Reviews from AMG enthusiasts like Remove before Race and throttle house are not at all impressed. Should have been badged a C45 and not insulting the glorious REAL C63 V8. It's an ex C63 morphing to just another EV

I see some silly comments as I expected t hose of you sounding off don't realise the ethos of mercedes has always been to be at the leading edge of the luxury car market and this seems to fit the bill perfectly.
Yes that is the ethos, but still doesn’t justify alienating your biggest audience, with this 4pot garbage, the pre-orders for this car have been woeful to say the least, they have completely failed to deliver what the customers want. They could’ve at least used a 6 cylinder
@mengienghinamwaami4894 if people want old-fashioned automotive dinosaurs, even the American makers are leaving that behind, so if that's what you want your going to have to buy an old car not a new one.
