      Honestly they could still end up getting fired for abandoning the job.
      They didn’t call to let their manager know, and so all their coworkers now have to pick up the slack and work extra to go home on time, AND god forbid they think they’re on the side of the road dead.
      And as for rslash’s genius comment: i know it’s a joke, but it’s definitely not genius, it’s psychotic and manipulative. (Mind you i don’t think they were actually doing that anyway)

    That first story with the pizza delivery guy is so heartwarming. Finally, a nice story with a happy mix-up and no Karen's. My only concern is that this nursing home is letting just anybody come inside during a pandemic without checking to see who they are. It's sweet and scary at the same time.

    I really wanna know why people accuse workers of “lying” why they say they don’t work here

      I used to work retail there is no way that saying that you dont work for a place when you do would work out for you for several reasons a few obvious ones are coworkers ratting you out, managers catching you and lastly the cameras all over the store watching your every move. So I dont understand why these Karens would accuse someone of lying it boggles the mind

    • @raywhittaker4813
      @raywhittaker4813 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yeah I’ve never had this happen. Before I became a full time student I worked different jobs for 2 years. Any time a customer would ask for help on my way out I’d politely explain that I’m not on the clock and point them to someone who was. Some people would insist that I get back on the clock and help them (which legally I couldnt do because I often worked 40 hours a week at 17 and by law I’m not allowed to work overtime especially if that means going over my 40 hours) I’d have to radio my manager and get them to handle the situation

    • @R4DV99
      @R4DV99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Fr. Even in romania (where there aren't so many Karens) i saw this thing. It doesn't make any sense, like, why a worker would lie about it

    • @Purrfect_Werecat
      @Purrfect_Werecat 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Karens assume that all low level employees are slackers who would rather lie about their employment to get out of doing work than anything. That's the basic answer.

    I work at a nursing facility and let me tell you, the Activities department is easily one of the hardest working department. They’re tasked with keeping every resident active and involved, keeping in mind food restrictions, motor restrictions, and mental capacity. They organize all the resident parties and events and they’re literally always on the move. You literally have to pin them down or jog with them if you need something lol

    • @TheKidnappedOne
      @TheKidnappedOne 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Rusto it really can be facility dependant, I've seen both side of the coin. My nursing clinicals first location was a dump, and while they were building a new facility and everyone hoped things would improve all I could say was that until employees started giving a damn, you could have the best facility, fanciest equipment, but it all equaled a polished turd if the staff didn't give a damn.
      The second location was like the polar opposite, setting up a covid ward to bring in new patients while still giving them the care they needed, and once they moved into the primary facility they made special arrangements to have family visit, plan activities, etc. The first place didn't even try anything.
      I love those facilities that go the extra mile, because the patients well being ultimately has a better outcome, even if they are only there for end of life, many more go a little happier than if they didn't have these little distractions.

    My favourite I don’t work here is the one that takes place in an electronics store. The person mirrors everything that the entitled customer says. Right down to asking where items are, to EC saying “I don’t work here” she replies “neither do I “ several times. It’s an epic tale. She throws it back at the EC and deserves a gold medal. It would be great to hear it from her point of view some day. I think the OP was a witness of the interaction, not the actual person involved.
