Even though Iran has many ethnic group they are quite intertwined. you can take me as an example, dad's a Persian, mom's a Lur, grandmas on my father side is a Qashqai Turk, on the mother side is a hashimite Arab. That just goes to show how complex and beautiful the Iranian people are.

They have their own language and customs but are 100% Iranic and 0% separatists, meaning they side by their Persian brothers in the South and love Iran zameen. Many Iranians married to different ethnic groups of each other. For example many different groups such as Mazandarani and Tehrani have Azari wives .Many Isfahanian have Lur wives. Many Bakhtiari have Arab wives and so on.So its impossible to determine the exact numbers.

I think the map needs to be correct. Cause actually half of Khoozestan are lurs, Bakhtyaries in north_east and east : Masjed Soleyman Eize and Feyli Lurs in north like :Andimesh and the city Shush. Some cities in Fars like Cherram .also Kohkiloye and sothern Lurs in Busher , Genave Deilam, These all beside the Lorestan and some cities in Ilam

A little more information, The qashqai are actually mostly Turkic tribes, like the Baharloo, Ahmadloo, inalu, and many more. Also in the province of fars 5 tribes formed a confederation called the KHAMSEH under Nasar-Al-Din-shah it had the Baharloo tribes, the nafar, the inalu, and the bahadori tribes.

Dont listen to the racist panturk e khars. Most azeris also consider themselves Persian nowadays and are assimilated.

Persian are 61 % of the population of iran, it is in the books.
Furthermore, genetic studies have proven that people of the iranian plateau, azerie, turkoman, balocu, kurds, galak, lure etc all fall in the same genetic group. and significant closer together than any other group.
You mean questionable studies? The primary genetic marker of Azerbaijani people in the independent Republic are Caucasian and are actually clustered together with Armenians, Anatolian Turks, Georgians and etc. There are almost no reliable study on the DNA of Iranian Azerbaijani's or any other ethnic group within Iran. Then ofcourse you can argue if these minorities(which combined are actually the majority) are the ones who effected Persian genetically, and not vice versa.
In fact that study confirms that people from azerbaijan, arminena and georgia, are closely related to each other, then iranians, then antolins and finally they have the least in relation to centre asian turks.
The first Persians or the PERSIAN EMPIRE was 100% Georgians or Ossetians. The rest are simply IMMIGRANTS (no offense). Georgians or Ossetians or Persians have no relations with Armenians, Turks or any other nomads that replaced Georgians when they migrated south to modern Iran. Georgians split into two groups; Alans such as Kharazmi, Avicenna, Razi and slew of other scientists, and none of these people were Uzbaks or Turks, PLEASE! Again no disrespect, but let's do some research. And eventually many Alans migrated to Europe and were replaced by Afghans, Uzbaks and Turks, CERTAINLY not of same race
Reza Shah's grandparents, Cyrus the Great's grandparents, Stalin's grandparents and Gorbechov's grandparents all lived within a few miles in Georgia. Many other prominent Empire's scientists and influential people came from Georgia. But the modern Georgia today is occupied by 5% Persians and rest who knows what ? Turkic, Armenians? Because the PERSIANS simply migrated SOUTH !!
Southern Caucasians (from Caucuses mountains) were called Persians, mid Caucasians were called Ossetians, and Northerners were called Russians). That's the history of Persian Empire, not some immigrant arabs and nomads who call themselves Iranians. PLEASE!!
Every country has immigrants, but Iran is not a nation of immigrants. It simply developed into an immigrant mixed nation, but the history and the indigenous Persians' history was not supposed to be re-written

The history of genes rarely was ment to effect national identities. One must never forget that these ethnic classifications are a social construct, they are artificial in nature to begin with. There are actually many people with Neanderthal genes as well.
You also mentioned Central Asian Turks. You realize that there is still a great disparity genetically between all groups of people right? Tajiks are genetically closer to their Uzbek neighbours for example. Doesnt make them Turkic.

Incorrect mapping, Laki speakers are listed under Lor instead of Kurd. While Lor is a tribal group Kurd is an ethnicity Laki speakers are Kurdish. Even the origin of Lors is debatebly Kurdish. Typical Persian propaganda imo.

@@aliqazvin8539 That doesn't matter you can Understand also 50% of Gilaki or Mazandarani or other Kurdish dialects, that still doesn't make it a Persian dialect. Laki is clearly by any means Kurdish and more importantly Laki speakers are clearly Kurds by ethnic origin. Lori speakers are linguistically more between Kurds and Persians but even they are culturally closer to Kurds. No need to use these kind of dirty divide and conquer tactics as Turks do.

Technically the Kurds are an ethnic group, not an race. The Kurds are an group that belongs to much wider Iranian group (Persians, Zazas, Gilakis, Pashtuns, Tati's, Talysh's.. etc..) who belongs to the Indo-European group ;).
