A Kushan Tamga also seems to be connected with that of a Göktürk tribe called «Ta-A-she-tê» by the Chinese.[27]
Name
The original form of Turukha or Turuška is most likely traceable to the Turkic-Altaic ethnonym Türk or Türük.[28][29][30]Turushka can also serve for the designation of the Kushana or Indo-Scythians.[31] J. When people ask this question I think the confusion is a misunderstanding of what it means to be “Iranic” in the first place. It’s a linguistic distinction not a racial one;just like Latin(Romance), if you speak an Iranic language (Persian, Lurish, Kurdish, etc.) then you’re Iranic. It’s not genetic, it’s cultural. Just like an Arab is someone who speaks Arabic and has adopted Arabic culture regardless of whether they’re North African, Levantine, or “actual” Arabs from the peninsula. People don’t seem to understand the difference between ethnicity and language family.

Seeing Safavids and Qajars not being a part of Iran, although they weren't that much of an "interesting" Empires for Iran, breaks my heart. My Azeri brothers claiming they were not a part of Iran's history, breaks my heart more. If anything, they were a big part of Iran. What they did affected today's Iran and Iranian people. What they built is Iran's historical buildings. They were a part of Iranian culture. The fact that "The leaders were Azeris" is not what I mean to claim as something wrong, I mean, they ruled Persia, Persian culture and what our nationality is from! And, in the other video about the Azerbaijani history (witch was a lot more detailed than this one), something called "Persia" getting ruled by Azeris didn't even got mentioned. I liked this video and the other video, but this detail really breaks my heart along with my Azeri brothers claiming I'm wrong about my history, and some of my Persian brothers who may not know that much about Iran's history, fight in the comments about who is right, and ruining their reputation like that.

حکومت های نامبرده، به خوب یا به بد، و صرف نظر از قومیتشون، همگی حکومت های ایرانی بودن و هر فرد ایرانی اون هارو جزء تاریخ خودش میدونه.
حکومت سلجوقیان، از طوایف تورک (به معنی واقعی کلمه ی تورک، قومی از آسیای میانه) بودن، ولی بعد تشکیل حکومت در ایران مغلوب فرهنگ اصیل ایرانی شدن. (اصطلاح انگلیسی زبان ها هست Seljuks became Iranified، یعنی سلجوقیان از نظر فرهنگی ایرانی شدن).
حکومت صفویان، توسط قومِ کرد اما تحت تاثیر فرهنگ تورک ایجاد شد، ولی حکومتشان ایرانی بود. ("Safavids were Turkified Kurds") ولی بیگانگان به دروغ حکومت صفوی رو "حکومت ملت تورک بر ایرانیان" مینامند.
حکومت قاجار توسط ایرانی های تحت فرهنگ تورک بنا شد.
تمامی این حکومت ها میراث فرهنگی ملت ما هستن، و اینکه از قومیت های متفاوت بودن اثباتیست بر اینکه ایران کشوری است که اقوامی متعدد ولی ملتی واحد دارد.

i can understand including the safavids, because shah ismail was 1/2 turk 1/4 kurd 1/4 georgian and his direct patrilineal line was iranian (kurdish). but gaznevids, seljuks, harezmids, ilkhanate, akkoyunlu, karakoyunlu, afshar and qajar are all turkic not iranian. this is about the history of iranian people and the states they founded, not the history of the land and those who ruled over them for almost 1000 years.
also there is no such thing as "azeri" this term is made up by the soviets to divide turks and refers to a now extinct ancient iranian people. the people of azerbaijan are descendants of oghuz turks who inhabit the region of azerbaijan and the caucasus, the correct term is azerbaijani turks not azeri.

As far as I'm concerned, before the name of our country changed from "Persia" to "Iran", people inside Iran all called Iran, "Iran". Not "Parsian" or any made-up terms people think is the translation of the word "Persia". "Iran" means the land of the Aryans, and we are talking about every Aryan ethnic group inhabiting in the area; and that includes Persians (فارس ها), Gilaks, Kurds, Lurs, Mazanderanis... AND Azerbaijanis. (Of course I'm not trying to say that Azerbaijanis are Persian, by saying that they are Aryans. I did a research about what I'm saying right now.)
I believe that the "History of Iran" isn't only the history of Persians or something like that. I believe that the "History of Iran" stands for the history of every Aryan group inhabiting in the area we call "Iran", and living together in a united nation for the Aryans, called "Iran".
I also get so angry whenever I see "Nationalistic" videos from people who don't have the enough knowledge, acting like German N@zis, saying that this ethnic group is superior from this other ethnic group. It breaks my heart into pieces when I see people fighting each other like that. Not only when I see those videos and edits in TH-cam and..., but whenever I see something simple like two people fighting in the comments and making up fake history and facts about themselves, just to say that "We are better than you", it makes me sad. We observed particularly high similarity between the Tagar and Classic Scythians from the North Pontic region.
In a comparison of our Tagar series with modern populations in Eurasia, we detected similarity between the Tagar group and some modern Turkic-speaking populations (with the exception of the Indo-Iranian Tajik population) (Fig 7; S2 Table). Among the modern Turkic-speaking groups, populations from the western part of the Eurasian steppe belt, such as Bashkirs from the Volga-Ural region and Siberian Tatars from the West Siberian forest-steppe zone, were more similar to the Tagar group than modern Turkic-speaking populations of the Altay-Sayan mountain system (including the Khakassians from the Minusinsk basin) (Fig 7).
Based on our results, we can preliminarily conclude that there was genetic continuity, at least partially, between the Early, the Middle and the Late Tagar populations. We did not find evidence of extensive gene exchange between the Tagar population and any genetically distinct (with respect to the mtDNA pool) human groups.

Arzhan-2, the archaeological site of world significance, a national treasure of peoples of Tuva and Russia, located in the «Valley of Kings» (Piy-Khemsk District, Tyva Republic), was investigated in 2001-2004 by the Central Asian Archaeological Expedition of the State Hermitage Museum headed by K.V. Chugunov. The sites has been dated to the 7th c. BC and attributed to the Scythian-Siberian cultural community. When exploring the «royal» burial of the early Scythian site of Arzhan-2, the scientists faced the questions of the origin of the buried, periodization and chronology of the monument, its archaeological-cultural attribution, the autochthonous nature of the population that left it, and its relationship with other Eurasian early nomadic cultures. The present study is addressing the most important issue of the appearance of the buried people and characteristics of their anthropological type. The material for the study was comprised of male and female skulls from burial 5 of Arzhan-2 mound. The article describes in detail the process of reconstruction of the physical appearance of the deceased and provides examples of calculating ante mortem parameters based on craniometric measurements. The complex stages of preliminary work related to the restoration of skulls and manufacturing of their exact copies are highlighted. The results of the physical appearance reconstruction are presented in the form of visual museum objects - sculptural portraits. The scientific reconstruction of the ante mortem appearance on skulls of the «king» and «queen» was carried out in the Laboratory of Anthropological Reconstruction of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences by anthropologists Drs E.V. Veselovskaya and R.M. Galeev. In anthropological terms, the buried show a peculiar mosaic of Caucasoid and Mongoloid features. They are characterized by brachycephaly and dome-shaped head, with notably developed rugosity of the supercilium in the man and its absence in the woman. For the man, an average width of the face and a narrow forehead of medium height are noted. The woman has broad face and forehead, the height of the forehead is average. Both portraits are characterized by prominent position of eyeballs and large eyes. Man’s nose is short, prominent, with convex dorsum. Woman’s nose has a wavy dorsum, and is slightly prominent. On the male portrait, the cheekbones are moderate, on the female one - high and prominent. Faces of the «royal» persons are flattened in the upper part, with a certain degree of alveolar prognathism. The lower jaw of the man is medium in size, narrow in the corners. For the woman, some gracility of the lower jaw can be noted.

Nadershah wrote two letters to Ottoman Prime Minister Hakimzadeh in 1146/1734, one in Turkish and the other in Persian. As we know, Nadir Shah continued this tradition of the Safavid kings who sometimes wrote letters to some Turkish kings and influential people in the region. In these two letters, Nadir Shah referred to the "common roots" of the Ottoman Turks and Turkmen tribes and described this as "a reason for the peace agreement" between the two parties (2). At the same time, at the end of one of his expeditions to India, he met with the Gurkhani-Mongol emperor of that land, Mohammed Shah, and spoke Turkish and told him that "his tribe (i.e. Nader) was from Afshar. the government (ie Afşar and Gürhan) are also related to Timur's successors ”(3).

The Turkish Shahi rulers (Kābulshāhs or 'Turk-Shāhi') of north-west India, who were identified as 'Turks' in the Arab conquest literature,[15] claimed Kushana ancestry, a circumstance which would suggest that they could be seen as representing a certain historical continuity linked to central Asia.[12]In the chronicle of Kashmir, also known as Rājataraṃgiṇī, there are recorded three Kushan king names, Hushka, Jushka and Kanishka, which were members of the Turkic Turushka tribe.[16][17]In Kashmir we do hear about Turks and Turushkas until the period of the Ghaznavids in the 11th and 12th centuries.[15]Kalhana, the author of Rajatarangini, comments on certain Mlecchacustoms that the kings of Kashmir allegedly adopted from the Turks, such as the iconoclasm of 'Harsharājaturushka' and the keeping of excessively large seraglios of women.[15]The Turkish Shāhi dynasty continued up to the late 9th century, when it was replaced by Brahman dynasty of the same title. Names of apparent Turkish origin, such as Toramāna, survived even among these Hindu 'Shāhi' king.[18] 'The Turushkas', states the Pṛthivirāja-vijaya (S. VI), 'came across the desert (marusthali); by the time they reached the Cāhamāna dominions they were so thirsty that according to Jonarāja they had to drink the blood of their horses'.[19] It is also supposed that many Turushka horsemen in the army of Deva Raya II were possibly of Turkic origin.[20] There are three main conditions supporting the Turkic identity of the Turushkas:[21]
1. the rulers of the Kushana were called "Turushka".
2. various Turkic tribes are referred to as "Turushka".
3. the dress of the Turushka resembles to that of the Göktürks.
Hence, it is supposed that among the Kushana, the ruling tribes are believed to be mainly of Turkic stock, closely related to the ruling caste of the Turkic Kengeres tribes.[21][22]
In a 13th-century Sanskrit text, it is mentioned that Turushka (Turkic) costumes tended to cover the body from the neck to the feet.[23] In addition, the Persian historian Al-Biruni reports that Kanishka, a descendant of the Turk family called "Shahiya", was dressed in Turkish manner, a short tunic open in front, a high hat, boots and arms.[24] The physical traits of the Turushka Kushana depicted on coins may reflect Turkic or Mongoloid origins (see Turanid race).[25] It is also mentioned inHemachandra's Abithana Chintamani (959) that the Turks were also called Sakhas: "Turushkas tu Sakhayah syuh".[5][26]
A Kushan Tamga also seems to be connected with that of a Göktürk tribe called «Ta-A-she-tê» by the Chinese.[27]
Name
The original form of Turukha or Turuška is most likely traceable to the Turkic-Altaicethnonym Türk or Türük.[28][29][30]Turushka can also serve for the designation of the Kushana or Indo-Scythians.[31] J. Marquardt, Zeki V. Togan and Berthold Laufer postulate the same Turkic etymology.[31][32][33] The name "Turuška" also occurs in Ancient Egypt around 1400 BC.[34]
