- We've had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the Borders region, some parts we've filmed and others we've simply enjoyed. The Borders region has highlighted to us another area of the UK where we need to explore more, however, Claire is determined to visit The Isle of Arran, and what Claire wants, she gets.....apart from chocolate from Tony.
We talk about the time that Tony got threatened by a Troll, who told him that they was going to 'beat him up'.

You have an Asda in Ardrosson also you are probably off the island now but if you catch the small ferry on the west of Arran you can bypass all the big towns and there's a great parking place round the back of the big hotel on Arran

The River Clyde is formed by the meeting of two streams, Daer Water and the Potrail Water, in the Lowther Hills in South Lanarkshire.

Haha, to be fair, I probably did lol. The funny thing was, one of our subscribers joined in the keyboard battle and was determined to hunt down the troll lol. It ended up getting rather nasty between them both and I was left on the sideline👍🤣.

Thanks for the video Tony and Claire. I haven't seen you for awhile. One of the nicest van builds I've seen. Scotland is superb, especially the Highland and Islands. We were in Mull last year but got rained off early. Nearly got trapped in Oban due to land slides and flooding. Have you done the Outer Hebrides yet? Again what a fantasic place - and we were lucky with the weather too. PS. You missed the ham out of your toastie. PPS. Great photos. That 3 ft lens works well.

I think the Clyde starts around ecclfeccan
A bit further north, in Lowther hills. Easy to identify Lowther hills from A74. When near Abington look to the right going south and to the left going north. Highest point of Lowther hills has a giant "golf ball" on the top.

I spent a great night last year at Ardrossan, just round from the ferry terminal, actually I think you walked past the spot. I couldn't believe you could park there, lovely grassy area right by the water. But talking to the guy next door, he was quite local, he stays quite often. Looking forward to the next episode. 👍🐸

There is an old Scottish song called "The Song of the Clyde". The chorus of it says " it flows from Leadhills all the way to the sea". The song also mentions in the verse all the names of the places it flows through. If you are interested you can look it up on some of the music platforms. The tune is quite catchy and could easily become an earworm! 😊

Hi there. Yep, some people must be so bored to engage in conversation with folks who they don't like....amazing🤔😡. Yep, no doubt PTS is a constant reminder of how fragile life is and how important our time here is👍. You'll still have a great time on Skye, we've never had any trouble parking, however, yes, a few of the tourist hot spots have been turned into pay and display👎. Don't forget the south of the island, not so many people and definitely worth exploring👍.

Now then.saltcoats as the name suggests is where they used to make a lot of salt 🧂. it's also near ardeer where Nobel set up the worlds largest explosive 🧨 factory, where 7 people alone died in one explosive blast.

Yep, picking arguments on social media is definitely the equivalent of road rage, people are very brave when they're hiding behind something, they're the kind of men that would run a mile if they were to be called into military Service....weak. ‘Cleverer’ is a proper word. Some might argue it should be ‘more clever’ but it’s optional, both are correct. What’s obviously NOT correct is to describe someone who produces this kind of content as ‘thick.’ It’s also very bad-mannered. We all manage typos from time to time, especially with a small, touch-screen keyboard and a predictive text programme with a mind of its own. Look forward to next instalment. Thanks.

I wached this because in the caption it said someone had threatened to beat you up, I was intrigeud. I thought it may have been a local or something like that. However, for a nutter just watching your channel and getting upset because they don't understand what a pun is totaly boggles my mind. I once walked into a shop and asked the shop keeper if he had a double entendre, so the shop keeper gave me one. I hope youre reading this "nutter" and yes i made a spelling mistake.

Great vid guys. "Keyboard warriors"...the saddest people on the planet eh Tony! ☹️ Anyway, on to happier things. Great photos of the wildlife Tony. (The Heron shot was my favourite!) Out of curiosity and as a sad fellow photographer, was that the sigma or the tamron 150-600 you were using? I'd love something that stretched to 600 but I compromise and use my canon 70-200 f2.8 IS with a 1.4 canon teleconverter which gives me a focal length equivalent of about 448mm on a crop sensor camera...which is just about long enough, but that 600mm is a killer for wildlife. Look forward to seeing more of your shots! 👍😎

Yep, happier things👍📷. It's the Tamron 150-600, a great lens, however, I purchased it (retirement treat) for mainly landscapes. It is a very capable lens for wildlife, and coupled with your 1.4 teleconverter, it could be amazing as long as you have good light. Yep, although I normally shoot on my 5D, I also use the 600 on my 7D (crop sensor), brilliant images. You could try hiring one for a couple of days to try. Keep shooting and all the very best. Haha, you sound just like me, I'm always reminding Claire to not overfill the kettle.
