Those look awesome. Like the idea of using the tape formed over the stacked card to simulate the molded plastic of the lids. Hindsight is 20/20. perhaps the lid hinges on top or behind the rear panel instead of inside the bin. Great work.
When u cutt the toothpick and was like no I don't know where the peace went I fell out laughing cuz 😅 😆 cuz I don't know where mine go when I cut too🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️😁😁😁💪🏾💪🏾✌🏾✌🏾
haha, the dark corners and recesses of my room must be filled with little pieces of toothpicks and matchsticks I think, because when they go like that, they're just gone! I generally don't even bother getting up to look anymore :)
Thank you very much. I hope you do have a go, they're a fun little build. Good luck, and let me know if I skipped anything or if there's anything I can help with. All the best.
Thanks James, you're right, that material is really quite flexible and easy to use. I'll be playing with it a bit more to see what I can do with it. Glad you got something from the video mate.
Some nice things in this video! The dumpsters look great, although for me I think fiddling around with the thinner card board would drive me nuts, even with the craft tape, lol. I prefer to use foam core. Although the bonus with using the thinner card stock is you can have those open lids which are pretty awesome! (I may still have to try and make one). Love love love the lids you made. Will definitley have to make some of those for myself. The garbage bags are great, and very similar to what Mel the Terrain Tutor has created in the past - although I like the idea of using multiple pebbles and not just one (as Mel does). And those signs! Brilliant! Definitely the highlight of the video for me!! The tealight metal!! Thanks for the inspirations! I have subscribed to the channel!
One of the tips that Mel (Terrain Tutor) mentions with the garbage bags, is that he uses the "cheaper" shinier brand, and he does double up the fabric over the pebble. He found the "matt" bags looked too fake. I notice you only use 1 layer, and they look good! Guess it might depend on the bags, and one's preference. :)
I found having pebbles in the bags helped them sit better, and two layers of plastic made the top of the bag look a bit off. But it is like you say, dependant on what you have available. Thanks for comments!
Thank you very much. I do want to work on some more grim dark stuff in the future, but hopefully some of the techniques in the video might help you out in the meantime. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Nate, yeah I'm trying to learn and improve as much as I can between videos. Thanks for noticing. Appreciate the comment mate. Looking forward to your next video!
Great build, with some great ideas. Question: you used something you called "craft tape", and said it had a smooth back, but I'm unable to find that. All of the hits for "craft tape" are either small with novelty colors and patterns, or they have texture on the back. Can you please name a brand?
Hi mate. Thanks. Hopefully this link here works for you, this is what i used, and where I purchased it in Australia. Let me know if you have trouble tracking it down where you are and I'll hunt around for you online... www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/pps-kraft-paper-tape-50mm-x-25m-ppskptape1
I’ve never done anything like this, so I can’t just run with it. I need detailed instructions on what to do. My husband drives truck for a trash company for 25 years. I would love to make one. But every single one of these tutorials are lousy at explaining things in detail.
Классно зделано,спасибо что делишься своим творчеством, жилаю здоровья и что бы вдохновения не покидало на новые идей.
Thank you very much for you comment. I hope to be back to creating new stuff very soon.
Very realistic dumpsters and garbage bags! Thanks for sharing this technique. Everything looks great.
Thanks John, these are fun additions to the rest of the terrain. I really like the garbage bags, so easy to do. Cheers.
Outstanding, really awesome build.
Glad you like it Thank you again.
Awesome and overlooked detail! 🤙

Thanks mate. I was really pleased with the effect of the tape over those lids too.

Nice I've made dumpsters in various sizes and have one on my desk as the trash can.
Nice, I could see me making these in a larger scale to use in the same way. Thanks for the comment.
best idea on the whole internet by the way I am working in a small apocalypse diorama and that's really helpful thanks 👌🏻
Very cool, I love the apocalyptic setting for dioramas. Good luck with your build and thank you for the comment mate.
great build, some interesting approaches (love the versatility of the actionable lids), and the tea light bit was brilliant.
Thanks very much Jayson. Glad you enjoyed it mate. Cheers.
Amazing!!!!! I going to try. Thank you 😍
Thank you very much. I hope you do have a go, they're a fun little build. Good luck, and let me know if I skipped anything or if there's anything I can help with. All the best.
Awesome
Thanks mate!
Great videos! Been binge watching your terrain tutorial videos. Great stuff has gotten my creativity going
That's great to hear. Good luck with your builds mate.
cool, going to make some for gaslands
Thanks. Good luck with the build mate.
Beautiful build! Well done!! :-D
Thanks very much! Appreciate the comment mate.
Another fantastic tutorial. !! Thanks to you, my walking dead / fallout table will be looking great in minimal time :)
Thanks mate, great to hear!
Never thought of using tea lights like that! I think that could work for random quick patching too, like on ramshackle vehicles or shacks.
Thanks James, you're right, that material is really quite flexible and easy to use. I'll be playing with it a bit more to see what I can do with it. Glad you got something from the video mate.
Nice build video. Cheers
Thanks mate. Appreciate the comment.
@@RFDHobby Giving credit where credit is due. Great channel you have.
Should I make some of those little garbage bags for my tree blights? ;-P
Given how easy those bags are, I have to answer yes :)

Thanks Perry. Yeah, the sign turned out great. That metal from the tea lights will come in handy down the track for sure. Cheers.

Cool job. Keep these way.
Not sure how i can get some if ir ideas in my industrial kilo team tabletop

@@RFDHobby Im sure i can make some pretty signals for my mechanicum forge ;)
Did I see some extra editing from me mate Shawny? fantastic build mate
Thanks Nate, yeah I'm trying to learn and improve as much as I can between videos. Thanks for noticing. Appreciate the comment mate. Looking forward to your next video!
OOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. *liked
Thanks so much!
I made a couple of these but found it easier to design it like a cardboard box save getting fiddly with tape and having to glue every joint
That makes sense, thanks for the tip John. Take care and all the best mate!

Did you use paper packing tape or masking tape on the lid?
That was paper packing tape for the lid.
@@RFDHobby thx
Can yo7 make a garbage truck for these
haha, I'm not sure I'm up to crafting my own vehicles yet. But thank you for watching and commenting!
