    I have the M77 all weather in 243 . It's a fine shooter .

They really are... I have the big brother to this one, as well (video will be coming up sometime in the near future) but it's a 1993 production 24" 7mm RemMag. And I had all the same mods done to it at the same time as this one, and it put down a 0.299" 3-shot group at 100 with my 160 Nosler Accubond handloads. I don't typically do more than 3 shots in a row with magnums to save the barrel and keep throat wear to a minimum.

Thanks! It was a present new from my dad back in 2000. Still got it after all these years. He had it sitting in his safe all these years, and when he passed last year, I went and retrieved his collection, and all of mine that I had to leave behind due to lack of safe room in my own safe, he let me store them in his.
When I got them back, I started modding now that I can have suppressors, and there’s more aftermarket support for them. The best 3 mods you can do to these old M77’s is the drill & tap the receiver for the EGW 1-piece picatinny base, full trigger job on the factory triggers (you can get them down to about 1.75-2 lbs. with no slop), and thread the muzzle. I can’t recommend those 3 minimum upgrades enough to every M77 MKII owner. 👍🏼
