Incredible video. Who could have known that Squeezy can drive so well and wildly? You gotta watch out for those quiet ones. 😂 Good progress made on the F 150, but it’s got more than a few issues that need to be fixed. I suspect the electrical problems are from the rats chewing on the wires under the dash. I’m glad both Squeezy and Wawa overcame their illnesses. I couldn’t help notice how pale Wawa looked the next day. She’s a real trooper. Ralphie as always is showing more and more mechanical skills. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
I really think that truck is going to turn out to be one of your better buys. You probably already know this but you might want to consider disconnecting that back tank or the tank selector switch so no one accidentally bumps it and you end sucking up what ever crud is in the other tank, I can tell you from experience that’s not fun.
I love the way the stony hard standing bit outside the shop is getting seasoned by the leaks spills soaking and draining of various fluids and over the years will reach perfection. I'm looking forward to it.

I already see it - those three kids are going to run a bad ass hot rod shop - wawa mostly managing, and farmer john mostly wrenching, while squeezy does gnarly paint jobs - but let's face it, I see all three being bad ass mechanics in very short order, now that squeezy has had the fire light, by driving a nasty rod :D

I try every day to help mine become better people, and it is always heartening to see other dads like yourself and Dalton, Derek, etc. involving their kids and making this a family thing. I know mine are way into classics now, and I think I have sold them on the idea of simple machines that they can solve every problem in. My middle, one of my sons, only wants classics now. I've been a TH-cam junkie for a long time and I have to say this is my favorite channel by far! Yall are an awesome family and I love watching yall work on stuff together!
Just from looking at the plugs your gonna need to either replace the coolant temp sensor or make sure its connected if it tests good. The ecu relies almost completely on the coolant temp sensor if its not working it will run pig rich.
My wife and I Love Love Love the channel and especially enjoy the wholesome family dynamic. We have noticed lately when Ralphie or Squeeze rip in the field it's funny, lighthearted and even celebrated but when Wawa does it she does not get the same encouragement. She's still a kid too. Keep up the awesome work!!

Second watch addendum. The high tech sophistication of high end drag racing and building a car at that level is ultra impressive but having a vehicle like this that the whole family can understand and work on with it's organic process unfolding in real time; a process full of the unknown, excitement, anticipation, eagerness and elation is what fills our hearts to the brim. Seeing the results of the fruits of your collective labor when y'all got it goin' ,seeing the unfettered happiness and pure joy of Wa pegging it the entire time. Then Squeeze taking no prisoners and her non-stop smiling afterwards...so don't thank me, we are all thanking you.
I love your videos. Your family is delightful. Your kids are so lucky to have you as parents. They are encouraged to pursue their own interests as well as actively participate in yours. They are learning a lot and becoming self-assured as individuals. Watching your videos is so uplifting to me. Keep them coming.
It's not a terrible job to do. There's quite a bit more wiggle room if you're doing a front tank, there's enough slack in the lines that you can drop the tank way down and actually see what your doing while disconnecting the fuel ines and electric connector. Rear tanks are a little more of a pain, can only drop it down a few inches before it's dangling from it's lines, just have to support it with a jack and try to reach up and around and do it by feel to get everything disconnected.
@@darrenswailsIt's easily done without taking the bed off. If you haven't got one already you'll need a disconnect tool to release the fuel lines, it just slides in-between where the lines connect together and it pops a little latch free, and the lines will slide apart. They do make a cheapo plastic tool for the job, but speaking from experience spend the extra 5 bucks and get the slightly less crappy metal one... The plastic ones tend to smoosh into themselves, making you think the line has popped free but it hasn't, makes it a pain if you can't put eyes on it and are trying to do it by feel. Ford did revise the electric connector plug on the fuel pump sometime in the 90s, it went from a 4 wire square plug to a 4 wire flat plug. Sometimes when replacing the pump you'll have to de-pin the old plug and slide the wires into a new connector. Being that yours is a 95 it should already have the newer style plug (if memory serves me right) and it should just plug right in. Most replacement pumps come with that new style connector/pig tail in the box, so people are sometimes like what the heck is this for? Or they'll return the pump thinking they were given the wrong one just to find out the 2nd replacement one is exactly the same.
Watching on this, and beyond the mouse damage to the ignition system wires, I just remembered that Ford had a factory recall on the interior ignition system due to electrical wiring fires. Running the VIN on this truck should verify if this truck ever had this done on it yet. I had a 1991 F150 years ago, and the local dealership did this recall work for free (back then).
At first I thought squeeze was going to lose her lunch. Then she got behind the wheel and what a ripper, hahahaha. Everyone did good, but squeeze was the best, lol. Hope you all stay healthy and safe. I'm amazed it did that good after 15 years of sitting. See you soon.
I recently bought a 76 Chevy C10 with the original Th350 tranny. I had the same thing happen with it losing fluid as fast as I could pour it in. The pan and rear seals were fine. Every other seal was bad. The seal on the kick down, shifter, dipstick tube, everything. Changed all of them and she's a happy camper.

Second watch addendum. The high tech sophistication of high end drag racing and building a car at that level is ultra impressive but having a vehicle like this that the whole family can understand and work on with it's organic process unfolding in real time; a process full of the unknown, excitement, anticipation, eagerness and elation is what fills our hearts to the brim. Seeing the results of the fruits of your collective labor when y'all got it goin' ,seeing the unfettered happiness and pure joy of Wa pegging it the entire time. Yes!
It's not a terrible job to do. There's quite a bit more wiggle room if you're doing a front tank, there's enough slack in the lines that you can drop the tank way down and actually see what your doing while disconnecting the fuel ines and electric connector. Rear tanks are a little more of a pain, can only drop it down a few inches before it's dangling from it's lines, just have to support it with a jack and try to reach up and around and do it by feel to get everything disconnected.

@@darrenswailsIt's easily done without taking the bed off. If you haven't got one already you'll need a disconnect tool to release the fuel lines, it just slides in-between where the lines connect together and it pops a little latch free, and the lines will slide apart. They do make a cheapo plastic tool for the job, but speaking from experience spend the extra 5 bucks and get the slightly less crappy metal one... The plastic ones tend to smoosh into themselves, making you think the line has popped free but it hasn't, makes it a pain if you can't put eyes on it and are trying to do it by feel.
Ford did revise the electric connector plug on the fuel pump sometime in the 90s, it went from a 4 wire square plug to a 4 wire flat plug. Sometimes when replacing the pump you'll have to de-pin the old plug and slide the wires into a new connector. Being that yours is a 95 it should already have the newer style plug (if memory serves me right) and it should just plug right in. Most replacement pumps come with that new style connector/pig tail in the box, so people are sometimes like what the heck is this for? Or they'll return the pump thinking they were given the wrong one just to find out the 2nd replacement one is exactly the same.

Watching on this, and beyond the mouse damage to the ignition system wires, I just remembered that Ford had a factory recall on the interior ignition system due to electrical wiring fires. Running the VIN on this truck should verify if this truck ever had this done on it yet.
I had a 1991 F150 years ago, and the local dealership did this recall work for free (back then).

I recently bought a 76 Chevy C10 with the original Th350 tranny. I had the same thing happen with it losing fluid as fast as I could pour it in.
The pan and rear seals were fine. Every other seal was bad. The seal on the kick down, shifter, dipstick tube, everything. Changed all of them and she's a happy camper.

Wow... Squeeze was ripping it big time! That was mighty impressive...she did really good. That's a good truck. Trans pan just might need a nut and bolt with a washer and call it good. That heater core is a real PITA to change out.... Got to have heat in TN though.... Great job to the crew!
