  • This video is all about reaching the next milestone in my HR Career! I wanted to do a video exploring my thoughts about moving into the HR Business Partner role as a young professional, the transition, some of my focus points in my new role, my goals for 2023 and what you can do if you are thinking about moving into this role in the future.
I hope that anyone who is at the start of their HR journey gets to see an insight into becoming an HRBP. I'm fairly new to the role and on a journey so come along with me!
Here are a few of the questions I asked myself below which I will talk through in this video
Process behind being promoted - my journey so far
How things are aligning in my HR career?
    What is my role?
What am I doing to develop in my career?
    Who am I talking to?
What are my goals for 2023?
What can you do to get a promotion at work?
I am currently using the Daily Planner to Do List to help me plan my work days and list my top 3 priorities. I am feeling a lot more organised at the moment! Click here to get it on Amazon: amzn.to/3FHpAVn

Congrats! That is a big jump. I recently went from HR Generalist to an HR business partners role - I highly recommend a book called The HR Business Partner Handbook by Glenn Templeman as a guide

Can you make a video speaking on how you do onboarding in your organisation and like best practices?

Ive been on the journey for the last two years and am struggling with the unethical side of HR that we often have to bear. What they teach us in the books just isnt how it works in practice and I wish alot more people in HR were honest about this. Congratulations on your new role

Looking forward to future videos. I work in employee relations and not ready to transition yet but looking forward to hearing about your journey. And it's true on boarding is important. I led inductions when I was a HR Assistant it's important to ensure employees feel valued and welcomed.

Wow Congratulations, so happy for you!!!! Currently applying for a masters in HRM in September in the UK. Really scared cause I'm quite young (only 20). Any advice?

Thank you! Don't be scared, I would read all of the module specifications when you start so you know from the beginning what should be expected of you. Not alot of people will do this so it gives you a head start because you can start researching different topics before hand to gain a wider understanding.
