It's because the game turns into "Serious Mode" on Genocide where all the names are made more serious. There are several examples of it also with other items; some just get shortened name.
@@stanisawg6681 No. I only played one single run of undertale in my life. Pacifist/Neutral, reload into True Pacifist. In battle it's named Cinnamon Bunny. Always.

I feel so bad for alphys, bro. She had to watch the woman she was in love with die, the chances are she didn’t tell her she loved her either. No wonder she ‘disappears’ :(
In genocide after Undyne is killed Alphys goes off to evacuate all of the monsters, and then most likely either falls into a deep depression, or commits neck rope.
I love how this game makes you, the player, feel the emotions of the choices you make. Whether befriending everyone or killing them, you will feel those choices!
@@Dienow3xw There's probably someone who has, he isn't *that* hard, not in the slightest. Hell, even I managed to beat Undyne the Undying on my first try, Sans only got me down about 3 times.
@@nottcawthon9379 She's trying to protect the goddamn world and she thinks she should give the relentless killer a spear to give they a possibility to win against her and therefore destroy the world. Yes, brilliant.
I like to imagine that instead of undyne giving you a spear in this fight, frisk actually picks up one of her spears that were thrown at her and uses it on her own
"In my way." I love how the game completely alters its tone depending on whichever path you take. Pacifist has more of a heartwarming tone, genocide basically turns into a horror game, and neutral seems inbetween. Undyne is awesome as this boss...only thing in the entire genocide run that can take more than a single hit.
+warcraftfan5 When the yellow sparks just said "determination." and the world clears out and the music starts to distort- all those subtle things add up. Especially if you do it after a good run and you're not accustomed to that shift. It actually made me kinda nauseous.
TacitIron Hav After doing a pure pacifist run I wouldn't be able to do a genocide run. I like the characters way too much to just slaughter everyone. That and I'm crap at these types of games and I'd rather not fight this boss and the final boss of the run.
+warcraftfan5 What I find most interesting is the differences between Genocide check and pacifist check as it's different....Like it shows what of character you are in the runs....Genocide showing the player being a heartless person.
+Brandon Carpenter People get connected. If none of the games could put such a huge punch into people like that - Would it really be a good game? I didn't become "Nauseous" as such after seeing a genocide run. But I'd more than certainly believe in a game like THIS it would happen to someone else...
I don't know how people stomach the genocide run. One look at Undyne like that would have me clicking reset and running 80 trillion pacifist runs to get my mind off of it.
If you stick to the pacing of the fight (assuming you can strike Undyne each turn), you finish the fight right as the song loops. However, at this point, she stops using Green heart attacks, showing there is no room for mercy. She’s at the brink of death, wants *you* dead, so she starts repeating her strongest moves. It really is just so fitting.
Well , if you played pacifist, you use it in a good way too... She's just the only monster that has a soul strong enough to withstand determination (and the only one that has had it).
Actually, she's the only monster that even has determination. And it's sadder than you may think. [But hey, before I start explaining, I'm just gonna let you know - it's just a theory, and I don't think any of it has been confirmed. I'm pretty sure it's true, though, but please correct me if you think I'm wrong.] She's being used as Alphys' experiment, and she doesn't even know about it. Even after Alphys swears that she won't lie anymore, she doesn't say anything about it. Alphys has had a lot of experiments like Undyne, but only Undyne lived - the rest melted together into Amalgamates. And if only Undyne didn't have the soul capable of handling the determination, she would've been left in the true lab, as a part of some Amalgamate, too. As Undyne "passed" the experiment, Alphys continues to feed her determination. You know, the machine in Alphys' room, that creates some pink goo out of seaweed - this goo is determination (hard to explain - Asriel absorbed Chara's soul, so he had determination inside him, then he died, so his and Chara's souls were scattered across the land, along with Chara's determination. Some fell on yellow flowers, some on seaweed, some of it probably fell somewhere else, nobody cares, and that's why Asriel became Flowey and Alphys makes "determination ice cream" out of the seaweed). Undyne thinks this goo is just some delicious ice cream, so she eats it/drinks it if it's heat up (notice how it's somehow the only cold food that Undyne actually likes. Probably means that she's addicted to it, because she had it injected by Alphys in true lab, but that's just my theory). Basically, Undyne would not have been so determined, if Alphys didn't do all that. So Alphys had given Undyne determination, even though she could've just made her life literally meaningless, by doing so. Finally - she melts in Neutral run because she has too much determination for her soul to handle, and in Genocide run she doesn't melt because she's badass. Yup! That sounds about right.... 100% sure about this one.
SnowyLicious You either die a hero (neutral) or live long enough to see yourself become a villain (Genocide) or live like a hero cuz your soul refuses to shatter (true pacifist)
+eltiolavara9 What are you talking about? That had nothing to do with what escopeteroce was saying. He was basically saying "you" as the player, is cheering for the monsters to defeat the main "protagonist."
Undyne the Undying, daring to look death in the eye, keeping a smile even in her final moments. If you have a hard time with this boss fight, than all I can say is you deserve it. Toriel, Papyrus, Monster Kid, you had three chances to turn back, and now you face retribution for your actions.
In a world where fish ladies smile at getting hit... In a world where rectangles turn into beauty machines... In a world where kings of worlds get killed in a single hit... what is wrong with this world???
I mean, are kings known to be particularly hardy? Cuz I'm pretty sure I could take Victor Emmanuel III and yeet him into the stratosphere with an uppercut.
"Looks like free EXP" The game says it as if it's normal to do kill him. Even the game has adapted to your actions. At this point, you aren't even a human anymore nor a monster. And the game knows that such a psychopath will only like this kind of writing. It tells just how far from grace you've fallen.
I love how the pacifist run undyne is considerably easier to avoid taking damage because you only have 20 health the entire time and it wouldn't be fair to make it this difficult. But on the genocide run its noticeably harder
And undyne would probably be far angrier at the player in a genocide run, while in a pacifist run the only thing that drives undyne to fight is to potentially escape. In genocide, undyne is fighting to keep the others alive from you
You’re pacifist meaning that the aggression is unwarranted. Guilt holds them back from full power, but in the Genocide Run, you’re a monster. An irredeemable creature not even fit to call a human or a monster, bent on destruction and ruin, and there is no pity for your character in this situation.
More like considerably bs, waste half an hour taking down all enemies in a level only to waste even more time with the bosses, playing this after pacifist seems pretty stupid considering how frustrating it is.
Bryan X It's not an opinion dumbass it's the something someone feels towards a certain thing they think it's a fact but it's no fact that this game is just a GAME
Sushi The Animator She wants a fair fight. And she is an honourable soldier she knows she is gonna win again and again but she is not like sans not to give a chance. In my opinion sans did the right thing the genocide player didn’t even deserve a chance for what they did. But undyne gave the human an ability to win and still the human kept dying again and again
Sushi The Animator and she didn’t knew that the battle was still unfair for undyne cuz the player’s determination has no limits . And she provides the human. MORE ability to defeat her And still she keeps Winning after its impossible for her to win
Before the boss fight is one of the signs that you're losing control of the player character and that "something else" is there with you and during that boss fight when Undyne says "WHATEVER you are" after stopping herself from saying human, She's not just talking to YOU the player, she's also talking to that "something else....."
+Guilmonhero Actually, if you Check the Monster kid, you get a hint from the description: "Looks like free EXP." ACTUALLY, you get it earlier with Sans and Papyrus, the former of which assumes you're only pretending to be human.
seg162 Ah, that's another hint that I.... never really watched. ^^; I did say that it was *One* of the signs that "something else" is there with you, I never said it was the first one. Though I did forget about what it said about the kid.
You also get another hint much early on. In Toriel's house, if you've already triggered the Genocide run and you check the kitchen drawer, it will say "Where are the knives" in red text. That's not you talking. That's the "something else".
+Strate If you check the mirror at her house, you say "It's me, (Player Name)" The only time anyone other than Flowey calls you by that name, because unless you're on genocide mode, that isn't who you are.
One last hint. At the end when it tells you to end the world , you have a choice to deny it. And then it tell you what made you think that "you was in control?!" Remember it said "name the fallen child" not "give yourself a name"
This was arguably the most emotional fight in the Genocide run, if not the whole game. The fight with Sans lacked in that Sans himself was so flippant about the scenario. His pessimism and game-breaking shenanigans robbed the emotion from the fight. The fight with Asriel largely owes it's emotions to it's ending rather than the fight itself, which was rather easy and basically impossible to lose. What makes this fight so impactful is that it's a true fight. There's no hacking shenanigans or "refusing to die" or rolling attacks just to trigger dialogue. It's a straight up fight and it's the hardest fair fight in the game. When you beat Undyne, she dies with a wide grin on her face. Why? Because what other way to die would be more appealing to Undyne than bleeding out from wounds suffered after the most intense fight of her life? What other way would be more appropriate?
Sans is supposed to make you angry and want to quit the game, it was not meant to be emotional. Also i dont know what LemonadeARTS is talking about since you in fact kill Papyrus during the genocide run
You know I just created a theory: When you fight Undyne The Undying, she doesn't have her eyepatch, when it's just Undyne, she has an eyepatch. You see a spear going through her left eye. When she didn't have the eyepatch, maybe she got hit in the eye with a spear!
My theory is that she regenerated an eye when she reformed herself through Determination. Also, that eye radiates a spear-shaped light that reflects her affinity for spears. As for how she lost it, I think the Yellow Souled Human shot her in the eye during their fight.
jOOrOO She might’ve accidently lost her eye with her own spears, maybe she summoned a yellow one and forgot that they change directions?? Or maybe Asgore dodged not knowing that it would hit Undyne.
Apparently, she lost the eye in an accident when she was training with Asgore when she was younger. I like to think that after that, she thought she’d never join the Royal Guard, but still tried anyway, giving her Determination.
The implications of this fight are extremely heavy. Undyne, the only monster to ever gain determination. That changes the whole world of Undertale from the pacifist route where you find out that they're doing all sorts of insanely dangerous things all to try and gain determination. All ending in failure and death. Then undyne happened. She gained determination, though its not known how. Truth is that she's the hero of the story, and it feels wrong her story ends there. An entire world, an entire game, can be created solely around her story
I have spent well over ten hours, and I've gotten one hit away from killing her. using the torn notebook and the cloudy glasses to give you a lot of invincibility frames helped me with learning the fight a lot then I switched to using the cloudy glasses and the ballet shoes for some extra damage
@@bettyhart9943 definitely! I think way back then I used the cloudy glasses after I’d died a thousand times too, haha! I was also on console so I don’t know if that makes it harder or less hard 🤔
She is the most Powerful Monster. (Not including Monsters With a Power Source. I.e; The 6 Human Souls.) Sans Only can kill you because of Karmic Retribution (KR) Sans Only has 1ATK & 1DEF. He only survives because he is fast enough. Undyne is Way stronger and takes Over 10 hits to Kill. Which no other monster can do. The Strongest Normal Monsters (Knight Knight & Madjick.) Can only take 3 hits on a Genocide Run.
The thing is, if you check Undyne in this fight, she will have 99 attack and 99 defense. This makes her the second strongest boss in the game, only being beaten by Asriel stat wise. But even then, I still think that she is the strongest monster in the game only because she was able to CREATE HER OWN DETERMINATION. Even Sans, the final boss of the genocide run and arguably the hardest boss in Undertale, could not do that. The Amalgamates were all infused with determination, but did not understand how to output it for use. However, Undyne was not only able to create her own determination, but control it in a way that makes her one of the most threatening bosses in the game
Yep. The GR is meant to be played afterwards, _AFTER_ You learn monsters melt when injected with DT. Undyne creates her own, but slowly loses it as here HP Drops. THis is why she's melting at the end. Sad, really.
+Slime ??? (Steakee) I think its less her loosing her determination, and more of tue determination taking over her waining physical strength. seeing as it's the same way she dies in a neutral one as well (injured to the point that determination alone is keeping her alive, he wounds get too great, she can't maintain her body).
If you've thought that Undyne was tricky enough to overcome in the pacifist/neutral route, the genocide fight takes things to a whole new level. And the way that the Monster Kid was handled in the genocide route makes you feel even more guilty of killing so many innocent monsters.
Wow....goddamn Undyne was NOT kidding when she said she could powerup good. That was an awesome fight, thanks for showing it so I didn't have to...well, reset everything to see.
+MegaVGmaster It's even worse if you kill her in a neutral run, she just starts falling apart rather than becoming undying, her attacks getting weaker and weaker.
Sammy-ku ソニック・ザ I don't know if it's outright stated but it's implied because, in both the Genocide and Neutral fights (If, in the latter, you choose to deplete her hp), she eventually dies by dissolving, which is what happens to monsters that Alphys injected determination into. It also explains why she didn't die immediately upon losing all of her HP. Much like with the player against Asriel, she has enough determination to refuse to die.
Remember how Undyne tries to kill you at first because you're human? Well, at 2:05, she says that "This isn't just about monsters anymore," that "You'll destroy them all... monsters... humans... everyone." The fact she even worries for a species she hates goes to show how evil you are.
I stand by my thought, that this does alignment better than any other game. In other games, it's always good vs. evil, or an evil vs. a greater evil that you will overtake and become. Here, it's either you fight for your friends against the injustice of the world, or you slaughter everything in your way and completely ruin everything for everything.
+Sir Nancy The Negative There's also a bunch of degrees in between too, and they all have slight plot differences as well. But the two extremes are definitely the most interesting. Most games with evil routes make it feel like you're failing to be a hero, but in this one, so many small things change about the way your character interacts with the world that it feels like you're succeeding in being an angel of death.
Yeah, this scene in particular demonstrates how differently the game handles its "evil route". In other games they sugarcoat it by making most of your enemies equally or more evil than you, so you don't feel bad about playing that way. This game, on the other hand, is SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to lay bare how horrible it is to be evil and tries at every turn to make you feel horrible about playing that way. This scene shows you have become the ultimate evil in this world by, after hours of killing hundreds of monsters that don't stand a chance against you in one hit, basically doing a perspective inversion of a stereotypical scene where the hopelessly outmatched hero gets a power-up fueled by all the good in the world to confront the unspeakably evil ultimate villain. Your enemy is not only portrayed 100% sympathetically, but gets all the dialogue conventions you would normally associate with the hero of the story. It becomes hard at this point not to sympathize much more with your enemy than your protagonist. If you play a Dark Side run of Knights of the Old Republic (to give that as an example of another game that offers good and evil options), you may do some things that might make you feel bad, you might run into a few instances where you're hurting someone unequivocally good, but mostly it's still a power fantasy, you're made to feel like a "badass" or "awesome" Sith Lord. In this game, though, the "cool" is sucked right out of the evil route of the game. You don't feel awesome at all, and if you continue playing all the way to the end in this way, it's not to feel "awesome" or "powerful", but only out of a morbid fascination to find out what horrible thing happens next. Basically like why you would read horror fiction or watch a horror film, only even more horrifying since you're controlling the character that does the horrible things, and making the bad stuff happen. It's psychological horror at its most disturbing.
+Sir Nancy The Negative If you're talking about good vs evil alignment, yeah. But as far as moral choices go, 'good vs evil' is kind of a stupid alignment system anyway, unless you're playing with it or deconstructing it like Undertale is. Generally, when I play a game, I take the 'alignment' decisions seriously, which means that the 'good' option is really the only option I'd even consider. so when a game unironically has a simple 'good vs evil' dichotomy, it might as well not have an alignment system at all for me. Again, I agree that what Undertale does is really awesome, because it doesn't present the evil options as something anything other than what they are: evil. When a game isn't playing with the good and evil tropes like Undertale is, I vastly prefer a grayer array of choices.
+Neil Burgin I 100% agree with all of this. And I also love how this sort of stuff is shown even through the music. The track that plays during this fight is called "Battle Against a True Hero", and that hero is obviously Undyne, making you the ruthless villain she's fighting. During the Sans fight the track playing is called "Megalovania", which is derived from the word 'megalomania' which is an obsession with power, particularly over others. This fits with your actions throughout that run perfectly, and really shows that you are the true bad guy by the end. Everything about this run tries it's best to make you feel like a major piece of shit for what you're doing, and it works.
"You cursed brat! Look what you've done! I'm melting! MELTING!!!! Oh, what a world, what a world! Who would have thought a wretched little girl like you would destroy my undying determination ! Ohhh! Look out! Look out! I'm going! Ohhhhhhhhhh!"
well, it is true that the genocide route was your doing. Chara even mentions that at the end of the route. People just use Chara to blame for their actions. Whether you like it or not, that's fact. Chara isn't the good guy, either. Asriel even says they weren't the best person. Chara doesn't take control until you reach Asgore. You killed everyone up until that point. Chara was just helping you finish what you started.
TheJelloOverlord64 Chara never said that themeselves chara is evil if they weren't why would they kill asgore asriel and sans also chara is a demon they even say so themeselves also the make a demonic facial expression and kill the universe all on there own
Jaden Stewart Actually, you killed sans. Chara killed Asgore and Flowey, and purged the timeline because they believed you had no reason to continue on.
It's only by watching other people's gameplay that I realise how unique my playthrough was, and hope everything you do can affect the rest of the game. This is so amazing 🔥
I love how the circle spear attacks are just in sync with the music for a few seconds. Tbh, I don’t think genocide deserves good music, but my favorites are this battles music, spider dance, and true pacifist final boss music.
That's what I like about Undertale. Its moral choice system which can make you a pure pacifist or a genocidal maniac. In fact, it makes it so that becoming a genocidal maniac is something that you don't want to do. You don't feel like a hero with corrupted morals but a pure villain. Your reduced to a person watching a film and not wanting the good guy to be beaten even though it is impossible for them to live.
+TheGermanBritish Guy I think what gets me the most about the genocide route in Undertale is the fact that it's would be almost impossible for someone to complete a genocide route without the intention to do so beforehand. With the amount of monsters that you're required to encounter being so high, it's highly unlikely someone would complete a genocide run by accident. As such, not only does the game make you feel like a piece of shit and make every encounter unsatisfactory, either by making the final reward for killing all monsters in the area fucking disturbing, by being too easy (like toriel and papyrus) or really difficult (undyne, sans) But it also pins it all on the player. It's the player's fault these things happened. It's the player that chose this path. And the game goes out of it's way to make you, the player feel awful for it. Not to mention the attachment players may have due to previously completing the game in the pure pacifist method. Toby Fox is brutal.
@@pineappleguy676 It isn't, Chara even says that the Determination and human soul wasn't hers, but the Player's. (Frisk's) We play as Frisk throughout all runs.

+MIKNIK Actually I'm pretty sure you have no control over that. You talk to him once while on the genocide track and your character automatically takes all pieces of him with him begging you to stop. It's creepy af and really shows that you/your character are not totally in control during this run.

THIS! This battle right here is why Undertale is a masterpiece. At this point in the game you are the protag But no longer the hero. You are now the villian of this story. It's because she's honor bound. It's her duty to give you a full fight. It wouldn't be the same if the human didn't try to fight back, right? =)
Chara NEO not if they didn't try to fight back, but if she didn't make it fair by at least giving you the ability to block.
@@nottcawthon9379 She's trying to protect the goddamn world and she thinks she should give the relentless killer a spear to give they a possibility to win against her and therefore destroy the world. Yes, brilliant.

I love how the game completely alters its tone depending on whichever path you take.

If you stick to the pacing of the fight (assuming you can strike Undyne each turn), you finish the fight right as the song loops. Does this mean...Undyne is the only monster able to use Determination in a good way.
In a variation of the neutral run Undyne melts because of determination so she can just handle it better that others
Bakuś Waniliowy Nice theory! I just like to believe that Undyne has natural determination. It makes her seem like a true hero.

In genocide, undyne is fighting to keep the others alive from you
It's extremely difficult while playing it....
'noticably harder '
Nah bro it's Extreme mode to peaceful
You’re pacifist meaning that the aggression is unwarranted. Guilt holds them back from full power, but in the Genocide Run, you’re a monster. An irredeemable creature not even fit to call a human or a monster, bent on destruction and ruin, and there is no pity for your character in this situation.
More like considerably bs, waste half an hour taking down all enemies in a level only to waste even more time with the bosses, playing this after pacifist seems pretty stupid considering how frustrating it is.

Sushi The Animator and she didn’t knew that the battle was still unfair for undyne cuz the player’s determination has no limits . And she provides the human. MORE ability to defeat her And still she keeps Winning after its impossible for her to win
You're a very original comment or... Totally didn't copy another comment
Before the boss fight is one of the signs that you're losing control of the player character and that "something else" is there with you and during that boss fight when Undyne says "WHATEVER you are" after stopping herself from saying human, She's not just talking to YOU the player, she's also talking to that "something else....."
+Guilmonhero Actually, if you Check the Monster kid, you get a hint from the description: "Looks like free EXP."
ACTUALLY, you get it earlier with Sans and Papyrus, the former of which assumes you're only pretending to be human.
seg162 Ah, that's another hint that I.... never really watched.
+Strate If you check the mirror at her house, you say "It's me, (Player Name)"
The only time anyone other than Flowey calls you by that name, because unless you're on genocide mode, that isn't who you are.
One last hint.
At the end when it tells you to end the world , you have a choice to deny it. And then it tell you what made you think that "you was in control?!"
Remember it said "name the fallen child" not "give yourself a name"
Jonathan Starnes
She was dead anyway. Determination would have destroyed her body even if she had survived and beat chara.
Sans wants to keep his calm in battles but when you kill papyrus, he becomes a true beast
Woah, watch out with that edge, you might cut yourself.
Sans is supposed to make you angry and want to quit the game, it was not meant to be emotional. Also i dont know what LemonadeARTS is talking about since you in fact kill Papyrus during the genocide run
I knew how it would end, but I still rooted for Undyne the whole time...
+Kris honk Same here. Kind of hard not to, if you are a fan of that sort of hero. Or hate that sort of villain.
I love how the first 3 spears thrown make you think this is gonna be easy due to how slow they are, then she throws the next few at ridiculous speeds
You know I just created a theory:
When you fight Undyne The Undying, she doesn't have her eyepatch, when it's just Undyne, she has an eyepatch.
_But Thats Just A Theory, A gAyMEh ThEory!!_
I think that she lost it when sparring with Asgore
jOOrOO She might’ve accidently lost her eye with her own spears, maybe she summoned a yellow one and forgot that they change directions??
I want someone to make a comic about Monster Kid having more attack and defence than Sans
yeah but sans has arms.

I have spent well over ten hours, and I've gotten one hit away from killing her. using the torn notebook and the cloudy glasses to give you a lot of invincibility frames helped me with learning the fight a lot then I switched to using the cloudy glasses and the ballet shoes for some extra damage

+Ben Esso Ah.

+ShadowThePikachu Who said it's Frisk in control.....?
Josh Maurer Even if it is Chara in control, it's still technically Frisk's body, right? :P
+ShadowThePikachu have you not realized this game is about DETERMINATION?
yee
+ShadowThePikachu It _is_ Frisk's body but Frisk is not in control, therefore no, Frisk is not an ass, Frisk isn't the one causing any of this.
+marcus petersheim Huh.
Perhaps thats why it looked like she was melting upon her true death.
+marcus petersheim also, you fight her earlyish in the game. which makes you alot weaker by comparison.
Sans was too lazy for detemmination
If you've thought that Undyne was tricky enough to overcome in the pacifist/neutral route, the genocide fight takes things to a whole new level. And the way that the Monster Kid was handled in the genocide route makes you feel even more guilty of killing so many innocent monsters.

+MegaVGmaster Somewhere it is actually directly stated she is the only monster known to have natural determination.
+Thornton Newton Cite your sources
Sammy-ku ソニック・ザ I don't know if it's outright stated but it's implied because, in both the Genocide and Neutral fights (If, in the latter, you choose to deplete her hp), she eventually dies by dissolving, which is what happens to monsters that Alphys injected determination into. It also explains why she didn't die immediately upon losing all of her HP. Much like with the player against Asriel, she has enough determination to refuse to die.
Remember how Undyne tries to kill you at first because you're human?
Well, at 2:05, she says that "This isn't just about monsters anymore," that "You'll destroy them all... monsters... humans... everyone."

+Bubbafare Commentaries yeah... that's literally what I just said

well, it is true that the genocide route was your doing. Chara even mentions that at the end of the route. People just use Chara to blame for their actions. Whether you like it or not, that's fact. Chara isn't the good guy, either. Asriel even says they weren't the best person. Chara doesn't take control until you reach Asgore. You killed everyone up until that point. im rooting for u UNdyne!!
You're supposed to. Undyne is the true hero. The player, in a geno run, is the villain.
The part where i tried to murder a kid is the part i truly felt like a piece of shit.
+TheGermanBritish Guy Undertale - the game where you can be a villain.
I didn't. are you not one of us? Is your soul weak? Were you not transformed by the bloody murder?
Monster Kid
Chara: "Let's see who this really is!"
_Free EXP_
@Frozen Bananas its chara when you play genocide
@@pineappleguy676
It isn't, Chara even says that the Determination and human soul wasn't hers, but the Player's. (Frisk's)
We play as Frisk throughout all runs.
Something is definitely wrong with ur pfp
"Looks like free EXP."
OH MY GOD.
For everyone asking how he/she got to LV 11:
In Snowdin, you can encounter a secret boss named Glyde. Walk around for a few minutes at the mysterious door before the Papyrus fight and you should encounter him. He/she most likely killed this boss, explaining the cut.
It is currently 12:26am, on Friday September 22nd, 2023. I haven’t played Undertale in over a year at this point because I can’t get passed this darn boss fight. But tonight, my friend, your valiant battle has inspired me to once again continue my journey in Undertale.
how's it going
did you make it?
2:50
For some reason, the first time I saw Undyne the Undying, I just screamed: “MEGA EVOLUTION! MEGA UNDYNE! THIS GAME IS POKÉMON!”
And I still think that Undyne the Undying is just Mega Undyne.
4:35 *SSOOOOOOOo close to a no hit challange*
Shut up no one cares about hit or no hit
I guess they never miss
WHY ALLWAYS ME like your dead meme profile picture.
Monster Kid: * A... a... and what's with that weird expression... ?
Chara: -_-
Whoa...
"what's with that weird expression...? *Protagonist aggressively approaches him*"
"*In my way"
"Looks like free EXP."
Three hits ALL AT ONCE!
Jesus, No Mercy run is BRUTAL.
+Diamond1234 I wish. I wish this was simply "no mercy". It's worse than that. No Mercy doesn't imply you go out of your way to kill more.
this is actually called a genocide run where you can't proceed until EVERYTHING is dead
***** I think it's 4 total
+MIKNIK Actually I'm pretty sure you have no control over that. You talk to him once while on the genocide track and your character automatically takes all pieces of him with him begging you to stop. It's creepy af and really shows that you/your character are not totally in control during this run.
***** hmm, guess i was just button mashing, which actually makes sense
This is where you realize that you were the MONSTER all along.
I think this battle is the second hardest battle of Undertale right after Sans'
Me:hmmmm I've finished the pacifist route maybe I'll do genocide!
*goes to undertale*
Me:Maybe I'll do genocide next month I want to rest knowing that I'll fight sans....
*1 month later*
*Opens undertale*
Me:Wait what?! It's says TRUE RESET it doesn't say RESET!!! Hmm maybe I'll uhh just go watch TH-cam
*Sees papyrus' genocide death*
Me:ermmmmmm
*Sees sans' death and battle*
Me:........
*sees this video*
Me:FUCK GENOCIDE IM NEVER GOING TO DO FUCK THIS SHIT IM OUT!!!!
I love how the comment section are either people crying about the cruelty you need to kill some pixels and people straight up just having the time of their life
Undertale fans are such a wuss smh
The first time I beat Undyne The Undying I had fish for dinner just to spite her
I have Undertale.
I don't play it.
Why?!
It lags...Undertale lags in my pc...
It runs TF2 but can't run Undertale...
**inhales**
Lel gr8 b8 m8 8/8
That must be because I saw in a video that Undertale takes up 999 KB.
+Useless Akai lel gr8 b8 m8 I r8 8/8
Weird... Try closing everything out _except for_ Steam and Undertale.
Actually the problem solved itself.
Not lagging anymore.
This battle is 1000000 times harder than Omega Flowey
Naruto Uzumaki kage bunshin no jutsu on undyne the undying lol
Undyne the Undying after 1 year about no-playing undertale, was SO TRULY EASIER THAN THE LAST TIME LOL
Naruto Uzumaki for me Omega Flowey is almost like a Froogit.
Omega Flowey Is Easy Than Whimsun :v
i think it is 10200% harder :/
This battle took me 0 seconds
Because i havent even entered it yet
It took me 0 seconds as well.
...4 days, 11 hours, 37 minutes and 0 seconds.
I know you will treat me as a HUGE liar when i say this:Undyne the undying fight took me less than 2 days (but i am still stuck on sans)
When i reached Asgore i was stuck on him
@@raghadwahab2547 he is easy
Toriel:13 seconds
Papyrus:21 sec.
Undyne:have 3 try and kill she with time 1 hour 9 min.
Mettaton NEO:5 sec
SANNNEEE....
Sans: 3 day
Me realising I didn't get into this fight in my genocide route :
*well i screwed up*
undyne's title is no longer Undyne the undying it's Undyne the now dying
*Un* dyne the *Un* dying
*Dyne the Dying*
Or Undyne the Untrying
Undyne: (Gets cut in half with her top half of her body literally starting to slide off her bottom half)
Also Undyne: *TIS BUT A SCRATCH* (Then just straight up Mega Evolves)
2:40 I cry every single time I read that dialogue
Undyne is the real hero because she stopped my genocide run
[*Watching Fasgort fight Undyne so well..It fills you with determination.]
Fighting Undyne made me tear up and when she's only fighting for the freedom of those she loved.
The Heroine appears.
THIS! This battle right here is why Undertale is a masterpiece.
At this point in the game you are the protag
But no longer the hero.
You are now the villian of this story.
Genocide tries it's hardest to make you feel guilty for what you've done
And it works
THAT is why I love Undertale
It can be a heartwarming RPG
Or a psychological horror game
Thank you for coming to my ted talk
4:46 now it really sounds like touhou music.
+Arichikurukuto ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Undyne is confirm 4 best 2hu.
+Arichikurukuto ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That trumpet sound is awesome.
+that guy who still plays nintendo
That could actually be intentional.
+FamiconOfTheFuture nah it sounds better than touhou
Shadow111111 ...
Unfortunately I'm inclined to disagree with ya there.
It's not often in games where you are the one striking down the hero. I respect Undyne for her determination and her need to protect everyone.
She attac
She protec
But most importantly...
When she dead she come bac
7:18
Notice that the spear melts, too. It suggests the spear is fused with determination.
Why would her spear be infused? To prove that everything about her is made from a science lab?
Undyne isn't just trying to save monsters.
She's saving human.
The fight is challenging yet you come back everytime you die just for the satisfaction and finally you beat them but you still feel an emptiness because you will always know that they were the hero.
**slowly melts into a puddle of frustration**
HELP ME....................im getting my butt kicked here and my determination is dwindling fast! here are my items and stats maybe someone can tell me what im doing wrong?
snowman piece (3)
Cinnamon Bun (3)
Abandoned Quiche
Butterscotch Pie
LV 10 HP 56
Weapon: Ballet Shoes
Armor: Clouded Glases
i also have the Old Tutu, which is better for armor?
im hoping i may have her beat before anyone replies but help is much appreciated
also how does this person have 60 HP? i have 56, its not many HP difference but that little bit can go a long way sometimes so im just curious
Old tutu is better, I think just practice and you'll be good. I have the Snowman Piece, the Spider Cider, and 6 Crab apples, but I've come close a lot to beating her.
Elijah Mora welp its too late for me to get the spider cider. the cinnamon buns are better than the crab apples i think since they heal more.i equiped the old tutu but i think the bandanna is better cause you are invulnerable to damage longer, but i may try the tutu a little bit more and see if it does help.
***** i find that the Clouded Glasses help me more, i dont take as much damage and i get further in the fight than i would if i used the Tutu but maybe i could switch back to it and see if i could try it again. also i really would need the spider Cider but i left the ruins without buying any! T.T is the spider cider neccessary?
***** well i'll go and keep trying. im sure i will eventually get it.
FlapJason a spear? try HUNDREDS OF SPEARS FLYING AT YOU FROM ALL DIRECTIONS AND YOU CANT MOVE......yeah kinda having a bad time here.
I remember once I had a friend who quit genocide on undyne the undying. I guess she succeeded her mession of stopping their genocide.
This fight convinces the player that they are the villan in this story. Undyne is the heroine. Mostly because of that absolutely amazing track leading up to the fight.
That settles it. Undyne is literally so weeb trash that she became a Spiral User.
+Chairman Vee Aye
+Jonathan Joestar Well, at least undyne didnt get rekt by her gay vampire brother
Dug Drealer
Better than being killed by a kid with a knife.
Jonathan Joestar yeah i'd take the gay vampire over the 9 year old psychopath personally
ROW ROW FIGHT THE PLAYAH!
Love how this game makes us completely the villain of the story while our enemies are the heroes trying to save the world
This is my favourite boss fight because undyne knew that she was going to lose the fight but despite this, she did her best.
