FAQ (hasn't been updated in years):
"I can't get it to work/it won't load/there's no mods/it crashes"
If the program's frozen after you click the encounter, it's just loading. It might take a while depending on your computer. If the mod isn't there, you probably didn't extract everything. And don't try running it on an older version of Unitale. If it crashes despite being on the newest version, let me know.
"Mac or Linux version?"
Unitale does have a Mac and Linux version, download it from the subreddit and then copy the Mods folder in this download over to that, should work. (Note: the links are probably not there anymore)

"why does she have gaster blasters waaaaah"
Gaster was the Royal Scientist. Alphys is the Royal Scientist. Alphys has some mysterious connection to Sans that's briefly hinted at during some endings.
I understand that gaster blasters are overused in fan content; however, Alphys is one of the three characters where it actually makes sense for her to have them. So this complaint REALLY annoys me.
"why is your heart yellow if she never upgraded your phone waaaaah"
Video games. I honestly can't believe this is something people actually care about.
Fun fact: One of the "upgrades" is that your phone is given a keychain. In a genocide run though, you still attach the New Home keys to your phone's keychain. In other words, Toby didn't care about this and neither should you. It's like Sans making you blue or Undyne making you green.

So here it is. My first Unitale battle. Little bit more detail than most peoples' first :P
[C] can be used to skip the intro cutscene. I didn't want to put that little fact into the actual battle, it would have been out of place.
There's a Hard Mode of this fight included in the download. Hard Mode is how I originally created the battle, blinded by my own hubris. It's pretty insane, especially with keyboard. If you find the normal battle too easy, give it a try!
I have a video here of me playing through Hard Mode that might help you out (SPOILER WARNING): • Alphys NEO Hard Mode P...
Also, there's a secret stupid easter egg. But I bet you only have a 3.1% chance of finding it. ;)
Nah, just kidding, it's easy as pie to find.
Here's a video of that: • Alphys NEO Easter Egg
I tried beating this a few years later and succeeded! Here's the stream of that: • Alphys NEO Anniversary...
I worked extremely hard on this for over a month, so if you like it, please share it with any of your friends that have finished Undertale! Anyone that might be into it! Stream it, make videos of it, do whatever!
"I haven't even used half of my power!"
Oh, Alphys and her anime lines.

What
It’s true
Supergamer130YT NL I already knew that was the case, just couldn’t prove it.
This is probably one of the best fanmade battles I've seen. The in-battle sequences were so legitimate looking, like they were from the game itself.
Agreed, Karamatsu.
I also love how Alphys stayed in character (dismissing the pie option) and used all her Mettaton-defense attacks.
The reverse was super cool, fast-forward and slowing down was cool too. If Toby ever decides to make a sequel, I hope he gets inspiration from some of these outstanding fan works.
Kitanai Sunshine I hope he doesn't make a sequel, because it's perfect the way it is...like, I want more, but I'm worried it might ruin it. Undertale ended perfectly.
Matsuno Karamatsu I'd be interested in what life is like on the surface, but maybe just having fan interpretations is better.
until u realize she has gaster blasters i wouldve liked it if they were like ion blasters or something
Interesting concept, I like the way she uses a bunch of Mettaton's gimmicks. At first I thought the Gaster Blasters were a bit obligatory but it does make sense when I remembered that Gaster was the royal scientist who preceded Alphys.
Ah, yes, at the beginning I too believed them to be mandated by law.
I thought she copied sans DNA for her magic augmenters
Yes.
@@wanderingseer4354 same but I like this theory better

I applaud you. You managed to make a boss battle with cool attacks, humorous dialogue, and, most importantly, you managed to keep the emotion the Genocide route had...unlike most fan made boss battles...
Buddy Dixon He didn't make this, I believe this is just a gameplay.
@@friendlyneighborhoodstrand1146 He actually made it. Check the desc.
I like how this statement still stands 6 years later

An actual boss fight that isn't cringe like Century Gothic. I am truly impressed.
Or Mega Sans. Am I the only one who actually thinks that's one of the WORST out there? It can't just be me... right?
+Yunero Just saying, Century Gothic was made to be cringe.
+Puffy Beak no it wasn't, otherwise it wouldn't have gotten all those views. The only reason the uploaded said they made it to be cringe is because that was an excuse for when they got hate comments.
+Yunero Have you seen the fanmade chara fight? (its made by Dreemurr Reborn)
***** It's because Gaster was the old royal scientist.

Hello old replies and old comment 🤪
The fact that it uses the puzzle is so cool. It gets revenge on you for not listening to anything people said, even if that'd benefit you. The other mechanics used in this fight work incredibly well too, with the coloured attacks, the difficulty not being literally impossible like most fangames nowadays and the intensity of the fight make this my favourite undertale fanboss
The tile puzzle is the first thing I coded for the fight actually, I knew it was a hilarious idea since normally there's zero penalty for not doing it. One thing about them compared to other attacks is that once you know the solution, they're too easy; so I actually made future puzzles harder if you clear the first one too quickly. And you can always just concede and wait for the flame wall to hit you.
I was originally going to have Mettaton style quiz questions as an attack as well, in the same vein of "base game things where your performance doesn't actually matter", but it didn't fit the mood at all.
That's what I like about this and the deprived gaster fight from "a huge pancake" well yes they are very old dating back to almost as old as the original game itself they play and look better than some of the fights that have come out in the past 3 years alone
@@Buurazu loved rewatching this lol
In this case, Mercy would be more cruel than killing her
한규리 i Agree
Temmie!
Because now she has to live with her mistakes, her failures. She has to live life stuck as a melted monster, unable to die, forced to wander the underground until the world finally ends and she can see Undyne again. And the little part of her that remembers has to live in a world without love or control. In a world without Undyne.
I think if you tried to spare her at that point Chara would say "Just finish the job."
@@mrsuzan533 huh, so Chara has some sympathy for her.

literally my most favourite attack ever
Normal person: Ok I just have to see the top of the screen and move to the indicated address
Me: dodge
Holy crap, I just realized.
When you land the killing blow when she's all melted, she SMILES.
Damn.
Funny
She also says at 9:24: "i deserve this."
+Simon Muñoz stop it your giving me feels
she's not melting, she's sweating, it tells "whats-her-face is sweating"
+ShycoWar Well, Undyne smiles to when she melts
"It's just an internal transformation"
This is so well done, I'm genuinely impressed. It truly feels like it could be part of original Undertale, as well.
But toby makes genocide run unsatisfying
@@hmm6006 Is this satisfying? I wouldn't say so honestly. Alphys is so likeable even when you would depict her fighting to kill you, which just like the true genocide run makes you the "unlikeable".
And the tone shifts match up the usual game too, how it doesn't feel good at all to finally finish her off in the end
@hmm Yes. That's literally the point. It's not supposed to be satisfying. You murder an entire race of sentient beings and then destroy the universe at the end simply because you felt like it.
@@hmm6006I disagree. I actually played the genocide route a few days ago and realized that it isn't insanely hard once you know what's coming and it also isn't super boring during the grinding segments (it was long but not insanely painful). The characters all act like expected for their personalities and there are still jokes sprinkled in like Burgerpants' dialogue, so it's pretty clear to me that Toby wanted the Genocide route to be played like any other route, though not without it's consequences.
If it's possible...
Sparing her at the end would be even crueler.
V Lav "theoretically"
That's why I wish it would have been an option. She had done the same thing to the Amalgamates, without the decency of telling the families or putting them out of their misery. I truly believe she is the most immoral character in Undertale (with the one exception of Genocide Path Frisk and Chara, and maybe even Flowey).
Ooka Miko There is a reason behind all of the things that Alphys does. She created the amalgamates in an attempt to find a way to cross the barrier without the need of human souls, without the need to kill humans. Alphys didn't tell the families of the amalgamates about what had happened because she thought that they'd all hate her for what she did. She didn't kill them because she doesn't want to take the life of innocent monsters. She definitely would have told them if there were no consequences. She said it herself, "Isn't it better this way? To live a lie where both people are happy...than a truth where neither of us are?" Alphas never intended to hurt anyone. She just didn't want anyone to be disappointed in her and lose hope again.
+Nathanael Perez It was more of the deception. I know why she did it. But she kept going, even after the failures, kept the alagomites as pets (I currently can't remember how they are spelled right now lol). And in the neutral and pacifist routes, she causes all of what happens in the Hotlands arc just to make herself look good. I honestly despised her even before the True Lab.
"Everyone can be a good person if you just try." Alphys felt terrible for doing what she did and she had no knowledge what to do and so she hid. Alphys has anxiety and depression after this and she only wanted to be the hero that she looked to up but she deep down inside she can't for what she had down to them. She only wanted to help. But no one is perfect. Toward the end of the game, she started to break down and lies are becoming fewer and fewer. Finally, giving another lesson of the game, Hiding from your mistakes is not a value option but working to making things better is. Everyone has done something bad in Undertale (and no Papyrus is not free from that) but we all know that. Even the player is worst than Alphys for resetting and keep trying new options in the game instead of letting the monsters enjoy their happy ending.
I was on the verge of crying the whole time and then i just let it all out at the end. This battle was so sad. Alphys is one character who im happy didnt have a battle in the original genocide run because while it would be awesome, it would mean you would have to kill her, and theres no way i could ever do that.
On a somewhat related note, stop asking why she has gaster blasters. Shes the royal scientist that came after gaster, meaning she probably had access to some of them.
WHY DOES EVERYONE CRY?! I've never even blushed before, no joke. And yet people cry over this?
+Colin McGreevy Alphys is my favorite character. Also its not like i cried heavily i just got teary eyed and had a few tears come down my face.
Better get a psychiatrist.
Because being sentimental is not a sin.
Then (no offense) you're a psychopath.
This fight has such a fantastic usage of the Undertale fight mechanics. Weaponizing the tile puzzles and having gaster blasters be the green tile monsters in particular was brilliant. And anything that involves "Alphys Takes Action" is golden already.
I love how she references all her friends.

A lot of the issues with most Unitale mods aren't present here, and I like that. What are those issues? Well:
-Seeing the same attack over and over with no variety aside from blue and orange versions
-Adding random soul colors so the fight can have a gimmick (not all of these are bad though, there are some that do this and make good use of it)
-Having dialogue with no real purpose or meaning
-Reusing assets from other Unitale mods
-Being obnoxiously hard
-Mostly being a Megalo boss (again, there are exceptions)
This defies all of those, with a moderate difficulty, emotional dialogue, uniqueness (in both attacks and assets) and using a canon soul color. There are only a handful other Unitale mods I can think of on this level, such as Devilovania Chara, or "Save Goatbro" Flowey.
The only issue is the check dialogue (when you check alphys) where it's from another unitale mod with similar proprieties which is a mettaton neo mod though they are vastly different.
Keep Using The Pie After Eating It. Eventurely Who I Assume Is Gaster. Gives You Anotha Pie.
And You Can Keep doing It.
Execpt For The Fact For Me I Got Cheap shotted At The Special Attack For No Frigin Reason.
Mettaton neo 2.0 is great too
That point of the obnoxiously hard is correct...
@@unknownroyalty895how is this moderately difficult. I would say it's slightly difficult at best.
Love this! Alphys' expressions change with what she says, just like in the normal game. But unlike in the game, she's not as shy. She's enraged at your actions, and comes at you with all she's got. And in the final phase, she throws her last bit of her Determination at you into one... how do you say it... hellish assault, trying to break your SOUL. When she gets pissed, she expresses it well! Good job, creator!
Love the Space Invaders reference
It makes sense because Alphys loves human "history"
Me too I got the reference
Labyrinthia Rosenfeld
Same :)
Yeah, with the mtts
I really like how alphys had gaster blaster because it's like that gaster left the weapon behind for the next royal scientist
and then sans stopped by and stole it
Some Guy sans is gaster’s son so he shared some with sans
kekrom I don’t know, it’s quite spread across the internet so I just trusted it.
kekrom In the workshop thing behind Skeletons’ house, there’s a photo of 3 people smiling, titled “Don’t forget”.
This is what keeps me believe this
Go Weegee people still watch this? Anyways, I don’t believe this anymore, so yeah.
pretty gud.
Yep.

I put a dislike because it kept appearing in recommendations whatever I watched. When this happens, I assume the youtuber paid youtube for advertisement. I proceeded to decide to maybe not even watch it.
Sosuke Aizen There's one video that has been appearing on my recommendations for weeks, i think youtube is actually drunk or something.
+Sosuke Aizen Pay to advertise? Bahahahaha, hell no.
Nah, just youtube being youtube.
+Eldar Iskanderov are you english?
8:41 my heart broke on this part, not just because of the fight but cause of the music too
The creativity that went into some of these attacks was astounding. Bringing back Papyrus' tile puzzle? Potentially devious. Rewinding the music with Mettaton's Rewind trick? Clever. SPACE INVADERS WITH THE MINI-METTS? Genius!
Don't forget the dance dance revolution like segment at the end lol
This is truly impressive. The dialogue with anime cliches, Papyrus's tile puzzle, the slower but still effective Gaster Blasters. Alphys is a good battle. Nicely done!
this is so criminally underrated and it hurts. i watched this years ago but just now came back to watch it again and i caught so many little details i didn't catch the first time. like how alphys starts out kind of thinking the fight is like some epic anime showdown but gradually gets more in touch with reality and what you've done as the battle progresses. also the music distorting along with the attacks _as she's melting?_ brutal. and _she smiles when you kill her._ just like asgore does when you kill him before flowey does. the detail put into this and the attention to characterization is just superb. i love this
This is actually so cool the dialogue seems so accurate like it were real, especially the "it's just an internal transformation" it's just so on point with the humor of this game. And the lazers and the weird puzzle tile game are just such cool things to add to combat that i haven't seen done before. Would love this to be a real thing
From carefully putting in the amount of damage dealt to Alphys and estimating at the final blow before the final attack:
I estimate that Alphys NEO has about 31,000 HP
While the total damage dealt to Alphys was 308,868 DMG(Including the final massive blow).
Ma Be I just checked the files. She has 33,333 HP.
Lori Kirby 33 333 HP?! That's more than Undyne the Undying or Mettaton NEO!
👏👏
Mikael Britschgi Mettaton NEO has 30K health, But he’s got -40K defense.
Undyne the undying has 23K health, and 99 Defense.
If you were doing a pacifist run and mettaton NEO appeared for whatever reason, You’d do 9,999 damage to him.
he’s hella weak lol
*SHE THICC*
I think if Alphys had a Genocide Route battle, this would be perfect for her. Good job!
things i just HATE about unitale:
-people using the same attack over and over again like there's one in EVERY SINGLE FIGHT I SAW
-people abusing the color choices of undertale attacks by adding LITERALLY every color they like and say " it's for deception!!!!"
this. is the total opposite
YAY
You're so right 😂 I hate the new colors
True
a A though the colors usually are to represent the human souls. In this case light blue for patience and orange for bravery. Light blue attacks you can’t move because you must be *patient* Orange attacks you can stop moving in them because your *bravery* makes you charge forwards
Edit: forgot to mention red is determination, dark blue is integrity, green is kindness, yellow is justice and purple is perseverance
This is the most creative Undertale bossfight I've ever seen! Amazing!
You don't know how long I waited for this. This is amazing. Can't wait to see more from you!
Most fan battles go for a 'cool' factor. This one actually made me feel "no. stop. why are we fighting her. stop hurting her." And it even had some humor in it! The "internal transformation" felt completely in the spirit of the original game. The attacks made sense, too. The puzzle (that she designed). The lasers (Hotland tech, which she helps you through normally). MTT's tech. I appreciate the references to her connections to Sans and Gaster, too. And the sprite expressions. Near the end, when the text box said "Almost." I actually gasped "no." "She's barely holding on." Please stop.
Yeah. All in all, looks like a well designed fight, and I appreciate how it makes you feel bad about what you're doing.
The only thing i dont really understand is the yellow soul mode
Because well, you can shoot because alphys gives you the tool to do it
*How are we shooting if we dont have said tool?*
When I saw the 9-square attack I thought of DDR, and I got so excited when you brought that into the special attack. Honestly this is one of the best unitale games, it's actually clever and not cringe worthy, like holy shit.
The one thing I would like to say, (and that's mostly because I'm conceptualizing a post-No Mercy run where Chara actually resets the world if you choose not to erase) is that there were a lot of concepts thrown at you in one short battle. Like, the blasters and the lazers were 100% a given for an Alphys battle. But then there's also the yellow heart, the puzzle, and the DDR bit. I mean you only made one battle so it makes sense, but it would be cool to put the DDR segment into a Mettaton NEO fight, idk.
Anyway really fucking amazing.
+Katty Madi Yeah, I knew as I was making it that, in terms of complexity, this is far higher than any actual Undertale battle. But, I viewed that as not really being a bad thing. It is my magnum opus, after all.
And funnily enough, the only other project I have planned for Unitale is UnderWare, a WarioWare-style rapid-fire series of microgames. Haha, now that'll be a lot of concepts getting thrown at you!
Blazephlozard that sounds super interesting. Anyway I never said it was a bad thing! It only would've been if this had been one of a collections of battles lol
+Blazephlozard Sweet battle, dude! You have earned a sub! (* It fills you with DETERMINATION.)
+Katty Madi ER MAH GERD u know rwby
Christoph Pletzack I'm not saying that, i'm saying that if this were a normal battle in a game that has other battles, having so many mechanics would be a waste of potential for other battles. But this is only one battle, so it doesn't matter
Honestly her determination death at the end is horrifying. What brings it all home is at 9:18, her pupils are melting into her eyes. She can't even see her last moments.
Yah that disturbed me a bit lol
This... was brilliant.
Unitale fights are always so bland and use the same kinds of attacks with different sprites for the projectiles. But THIS.
It cleverly combines many things related to Alphys and makes them work in a battle scenario : the tile maze, Mettaton, games like Space Invaders and DDR... All with an epic and very fitting music and dialogue that feels just right for Alphys.
I'm really amazed you managed to do something like this. Just... My hat goes to you.
was that last statement a reference to the amalgamates?
*sniff*
yes...
+Person Man -cries-
+Raymond “Alexander” Harvell probably
God damnit it hurts someone take away these feels
+Samantha Adams It does, because if you read the entries in the true lab, she puts them through rough shit, even killing a few.
My favorite part was where she was like"If you don't stop now, i'll be forced to use my *SPECIAL ATTACK!*
...it sounds way better when he says it..."
i remember watching these when i was in middle school barely knowing anything about Undertale and the record & rewind stuffs were the coolest thing i had seen in a video game battle
This is an incredible fight. It's clear how much work you put into this. Honestly, I wish it was in the real game. The text and everything is so well-done and convincing. It almost feels like Toby Fox himself made it. Good work! I had a ton of fun trying to win. I also love the eeriness of what happens to Alphys later on in the fight. And that music part is awesome. Thanks for making this!
Wow. For your first, it's the best fan made battle I've seen, among the lines of the Pacifist Gaster fight, but this one beats it. Well fucking done. Extremely creative, the music doesn't exactly fit in with Alphys' character, but the whole fight itself compensates for it, big time.
Also, it seems like a pretty damn good challenge. Well fucking done indeed.
It also looks like it is straight out of the game. Hell, if I hadn't played the genocide run already and someone said that this was Alphys' fight, I'd believe it!
ALSO, again, what happens if you spare her at the end of the fight? Assuming you can actually spare her...
+Three 60 Well, maybe you should download and play it to find out ;)
Nah, but, it says in red text, "Just finish the job."
After all, sparing her isn't what either Frisk or Chara want. Sparing her is a fate worse than death, and Chara wants that EXP.
+Three 60 i dont know the gaster blasters seem outa place, would be better if mabye the giant lazers just turned on with white light insted, as the gaster blasters make no sense...
Core Blaster well they seem to be not mechanical more of magical as they are giant skulls.... nothing machiney about them... speaking sans is the only one who uses them, and yeah they dont seem machiney, aswell as them being bone, it doesent link well to machines, sans also speaks about the timeline, so mabye the blasters are amalgamations as he talks about them being uneasy
Anyone else notice that she smiles when you kill her?
I mean, imagine how she would have felt if after all that, you left her there to melt and share her sorrow with all of the amalgamates, as one of them. That would have been MORE evil than killing her, frankly.
she was already suicidal

Laughing away the pain is a recureent topic in undertale
I really like the use of the rewind/fast forward/etc thing, it works really well! Especially as Alphys is dissolving and it starts glitching, it's really neat! 10/10, made me sad and also delighted!
If this was in the real genocide run, I would never have been able to do it
yup, appearently her determination is strong enough to make her equally matched with Sans xD
RIP if there is True Genocide :)

+Builder BossBR Don't Forget about the minor characters ;) Grillby, Napstablook, Nice Cream Guy, Actually... Why not every single character including NPC's :)
Wow. Have to admit I wasn't expecting much out of this but this was REALLY well thought out. The patterns and attacks are amazing.
I love how this is the absolute best, most creative fight, yet it's Chara at their most awesomely sadistic.
After all Alphys has been through, you make her die knowing that she was of use to no one in her life. You emphasize all of the failure she's made before she dies, especially the pain caused to her unfortunate patients. She ultimately dies with regret and worthlessness.
You dirty lizard-scientist-weeaboo killer.
I love the Space Invaders with Mettaton xD
what amazed me:
-The way you applied Papyrus' puzzle to the battle system
-The Space Invaders-like scene
-How the FWD and RWD affected the G. Blasters

This is beyond good. The way the game played with the song when moving backwards or just faster... Having a heart-touching theme play while you reach the climax in a canon mini-game inspired final sequence... or just the colorplates minigame. They were... perfect. How could anything beat this? Damn. I Wouldn't Know This Was Fanmade If The Title Didn't Say So. Nice Job.
Best mod I've seen yet. If I was told this was in an official update, I would likely have believed it. It's really, really great, and the combat mechanics are so Alphys, but also fun.
this is the kind of battle I've been searching for in undertale, you made a great job dude!! 👏
This is like a treasure for Undertale fans. Such a good fanmade bossfight, unlike other stupidly hard ones. Thank you.
Alphys is a fusion of Lisa and Molemen

Oh god this is so accurate.
"i deserve this"
NO YOU DON'T.
*_NO YOU FUCKING DONT_*
Dude, even the music was just on point. The parts the sound like spear of justice just makes you hurt inside. Jeez.
When Alphys asked you "Do you like anime?" and you answer "No"
If I may offer my humble critique:
Alphys feels pretty OoC to me in this. It's not terrible, but she's too confident. If she stutters and is nervous when around someone friendly, I imagine that she'd be even more terrified speaking to a serial killer.
Also, anger feels wrong on her, so the whole "I'LL KILL YOU" thing doesn't work for me. I would buy her trying to fight, but in a more "I'm doing what I must" kind of way, rather than a vengence thing. But that's more my opinion than anything and the writing is good overall.
Many people are criticizing the GasterBlasters. I might disagree on that point. As Gaster's successor, she seems likely to have a connection to him, making her have a decent chance of having access to them.
That said, good job.
+Luke James Well. She did just watch you kill Undyne. And everyone else. So I think she has reason to be angry. I should have had her stutter more, but...
I do suggest looking up the Alphys Neutral ending phone call. She doesn't really stutter at all in that. She's extremely confident. That phone call is roughly what this whole idea is based on. The Alphys in that, she was forced to reveal her secrets, she lost so many people she cared about, but now she's better for it... But regrets not trying to stop you. In both that situation and in this battle, she's like a completely different person. So, that's what I tried to get across... but hey, when it comes to writing, I'm no Toby.
And yeah, everyone saying "SHE SHOULDN'T HAEV GASTER BLASTERS WAAAH" is an idiot.
+Blazephlozard I appreciate your response and now better see where you were coming from. thanks!
Lol maybe she found them in a lab gaster used to work in
but anime is angry so why shouldn't alphys be
+Blazephlozard
I think you did amazingly well on this. Honestly, there's a lot we don't know about Alphys, just like how Sans came across in genocide. In the pacifist route, you don't learn a lot about Sans, but in the genocide route, you learn why he's lazy, and how powerful he truly is. He was the only one other than Flowey that felt the change in the timelines. He had a sense of deja-vu every time you load up to fight him, and he realizes it. He feels like he's doing it again, and again. Every time he feels that sense of deja-vu, he knows a timeline has changed. We don't learn too much about Alphys in the genocide or pacifist route, and those are the only two I've played through, but I can say that we certainly don't know a lot about Alphys from those two runs. I have yet to check the neutral ending to listen to that phone call. Anyway... The only real thing I can complain about in this mod is nitpicking stuff. The green in the background should probably be changed to be the normal battle grid, and how a few attacks seem to just look a bit... Well, different. A few blasters looked visibly bigger, and a little strange. Not badly, though. It just kind of tricks your mind. Anyway, this is a great video. Your mod is well put together, but eh, what do I know? I'm a random TH-cam commenter with no real experience in coding, modding, hacking, or anything that has to do with that at all.
Ok man. Hold up. JUST don't cry. Your a man.
5:31 "WHY AM I GIVING YOU HINTS?!" Becose you did it all the time on Pacifist... okay. I just lost all of my humor. B-but I'm not crying
7:32 "If Undyne couldn't stop you, then..." But you can. R-right? Sh*t my eyes...
7:37 "... no. It's... It's no... over..." Oh THX GOD
7:54 "This is the power of DETERMINATION" YEA!!!
8:43 "Alphys starts to melting a lot, and i hear "Memory" melody" Oh god! Not this... But I'm not cryi..
9:04 "Melody stoped and Alphys melted so much" I'm not cr...
9:25 "... I deserve this." I'm n...
9:32 "Alphys smiles while getting a final shot" Fuck. Well, I... I didn't make it. Anyway, I'm going to cry this video over to my cushion. Brb in 2-3 hours.
Filip Mierzwa why did she melt?
Max Allen because monsters can't hold determination too long
Adding DETERMINATION to a Monster's SOUL is deadly. While it can temporarily restore them, in the end, their forms melt as their magic gets destabilized.
...it's how you get an Amalgamate, which is what Alphys was dissolving into...
...in the end, "Chara" really did give them Mercy...
No disagreement here.
That last attack was incredible, holy shit.
Your profile pic XD
I never liked the idea of Alphys being a boss. But this?
This is beautiful.
Usually fan made battles have cringey dialogue and the "mechanics" are just a gimmick from the original battle spammed 100x more but damn this one is good and seems really fitting and true to the character.
like the red OC guy
the guy tried to hard to make him edgy and have a sad back story
+Dekish are you talking about the dog monster? That's a girl.
urgh, that moment when she smiles as you strike her. The artist really knows how to twist the blade into our hearts. Excellent.
Minor criticism: Toby was always sure to telegraph which color your soul would be before you started your turn. It seems to change without context here. Very creative attacks nonetheless.
After hearing Siivagunner's high quality rip of Alphys Takes Action, I can't take this seriously.
Yeah, the quality is wayyyy too low on this.
+Blazephlozard Not that I could take it seriously anyway. No offense, but this is really outof character
Jupiter Well, I believe the only person that can right good dialogue for Undertale characters is Toby Fox. But hey, I had to try.
And I don't think it's "really" out of character actually. If you think she's written too awkward, well, she's Alphys. If you think she's written too seriously, that she would never ever be aggressive like this... I'd suggest taking a look at the Alphys neutral ending phone call (if you end genocide at the core). It shows a really different side of her. And she DID just watch you kill Undyne...
+Blazephlozard Yeah, I mean, I didn't mean to put "really" there. It's a nice fight, but I just think Alphys is a character you shouldn't be able to fight either way. She's more of a "flee" character than a "fight" character. But that's just my opinion.
The music is rad though!!
+Jupiter I think it's because some Genocide runners like myself thought "we missed a major character" during our runs that this exists. Don't quote me on that. Just a theory.
THAT ENDING WAS SO SAD ;_;
WELL DONE, DUDE.
Surprisingly well made, and clever.
The most well made Unitale batttle I've seen yet
Though the writing is so "Alphys" which is pretty funny. The only complaint is that I can't skip the starting monologue and I die a lot D:
Edit: That "Pie" ending was scary as heck
In my opinion, the pie ending was not NEARLY as scary as the regular ending.
What's the pie ending about
Do you want me to spoil it or do you want to use the annotation in the video when the player heals that sends you to the pie ending?
spoil I want to learn the normal game first before this also im a student with no money
You can follow the annotation at 06:34. It's on the Pie when the uploader chooses from their items. It'll lead you to the other ending.
man they dont make fangames like they did back then, this was such a unique and interesting fangame. most were around the time this came out. now its all just sans fights that may or may not have a gimmick or two added on. i really liked the puzzle attacks and also the final attack with the DDR his theme thing, i thought that was so cool (especially when this first came out)
Alphys: *does an attack*
Also Alphys: Uno reverse card
I like that space invaders part.
What's this magical thing?! An Undertale fanmade boss fight that's not only not bad, but it also stays fairly true to the character you're fighting!? *AND* you can play it!? By the gods, has Jesus Christ himself come down and delivered such a miracle as this one?!
I love how you can hear bits and pieces of her own theme, as well as “core,” “stronger monsters” and even “spear of justice,” at least in the first part
5:43 That's a metta-TON of space invaders 😉
+Harry Clinton Skele-puns are SOOOOOOO last year! It's time to bring on the reign of the Metta-pun!
5:35 Sorry for the inconvenience but we had to interrupt your unitale to bring you space invaders! It's a commercial break anyway. Wait? Are we still in unitale?
I mean 5:33, but it's kind of the same anyway.
Wow, it genuinely looks canon.
Just a question, though, do Alphys' Gaster Blasters still let you have invincibility frames? Because that's kind of Sans' thing that makes him unique from the rest of the bosses and kinda lazy if you don't have any invincibility frames during this fight.
Regardless, nice job.
If you notice, they get hit by one at 8:04, and it does only a set amount of damage.
+The Eternal "The Tominator" Vanguard
I thought about having them do KR damage while everything else does normal damage, but decided against it, more for difficulty-sake than avoiding copying Sans (and also because Unitale is not really set up to do KR damage very well/easily).
One of the main things that makes Sans very difficult is that one mistake can bring you to 1 HP.
Blazephlozard That makes more sense, and by the looks of it the fight is hard enough as it is.
I downloaded the mod. HOW DO I PUT IN UNITALE??!?!?!
+Katuso Osumo it's not a mod this is an animation
Undertale and this battle in particular (including Red) is the reason why I started to major in IT to create games, it gave me a whole new perspective: "If you want more gameplay of a game, then go create it yourself". I saw this 8 years ago and still can't get it out of my head, my Undertale phase never dissapeared 😭
alphys: and a pinch of "Determination"!
me:*grabs soda*
me:this will end well
Fun fact: one of the new things added within an Undertale update is a phone call with Papyrus which further implies the connection between Sans and Alphys. (More specifically, the phone call involves Papyrus noticing the dog food within the lab looking exactly like the dog food Sans has on him.)
"Um... it's an internal transformation."
IM DYING XD
Alphys too, apparently
+TardisVisuals WELL SHIT
I mean.. This is beautiful! It's really well-made, and it almost looks canon! And the music is great. Appreciate my like.
when alphys watches to many anime battles:
Well as much as I woulda liked to see Mecha-Alphys or something gotta admit the internal transformation joke was pretty good. Incredible fight!
Oh god... Her last attack... Watching her melt like that, and you have to throw the last punch to end her pain. That hurts.
"you should have let papyrus explain this one!"
2 things on this
A. I'm glad somebody gave an alphy's battle, since you never killed her or even saw her In the genocide route
B. If you really think about it, Chara is doing alphy's a service. Alphy has (to paraphrase sans) sins crawling down her back, it would have been more cruel to let her live.
+jhon smith But Alphys actually does just fine during a Genocide run (up until the part where everything is erased, of course). She evacuates everyone into the True Lab, forcing them all to find out her secrets... and then it turns out that no one really cares and are just happy their family is still 'alive' in a way, just like in a pacifist run. Look up the Alphys genocide-neutral phone call ending.
+jhon smith If Alphys really wanted to win this fight, she could have brought just ONE Amalgamate with her. This battle feels like a very extended assisted suicide as a result.
+jhon smith The difference between Alphys and Chara is their intentions. Alphys was trying to save people. Chara was "trying" to kill people.
You're comparing apples and oranges. Alphys may have her regrets but that's no justification for murder.
+WatcherCCG Because Alphys didn't want to endanger the Amalgamate. Alphys doesn't know they're essentially immune to damage now. The only person who finds that out is you if you try to hit one.
"The...pain.......
This is what I made them feel"
At the end, ironically..... That was the only act of mercy you'll ever see Chara do.
+ResidentEddy (Paradise Lightning) She even smiled as you gave the final blow.
Okay but attacks are so varied in so many different ways but they’re not randomly pulled out of nowhere- each one has some tiny lore reference and I love that
that last fucking attack jesus christ
I like the fact that whenever alphys reverses her attack, the music rewinds too. Its cool.
Only the sounds not music
Well, at the FF ones it does
"Wait why am I giving you hints?"
Too funny XD
Also "You should have let Papyrus explain this one!" Jokes on you Alphys, when I played the game, I wrote it down.
Alphys has made many mistakes in the past and has tended to run away from her problems, but now, you are the problem, a problem she can’t afford to run away from, a problem she can’t afford to ignore, the one problem that she has chosen to face head on, and she won’t back down until one of you has fallen
