It’s no fun when things go wrong and you have to start from scratch. Looks like you have a great shop I’m looking forward to seeing more . Thanks for sharing this
Hello Alec. Just having a search on TH-cam... Enjoyed watching you and your fantastic workshop! Also your skill in making the nut. I got the shaper home all safe. Jim.
Great work. I feel spoiled to have a brake and clutch on the lathe! Where are you based? Is that a Norfolk accent? Thanks, look forward to more content.
Now I have seen two of these shaper and you have them both .I have a Rockford 24" hydraulic shaper that I use . Are all your machines belt driven it is quite the collection aka The Ironworker my channel
The 24" sounds very cool! Shapers can be very handy. Yeah all my machine tools are belt driven from the same system. I did have a small electric shaper once, but sold it when I got the belt driven ones.
I assume that you think there is little interest in how you made the new tool to continue cutting the thread. I 'm sure that should you decide to show us how/why/what you do is of great interest to us lesser mortals, There should be enough to make a video. What you consider as boring every day work to us non lather/black smiths it is all of interest.
Awesome job. My Rhodes shaper/slotter will need this treatment, it's a big help to see it done. Cheers!
Cheers mate. Ohh, look forward to seeing that!
I just found your channel tonight excellent videos and fantastic machines.
What a fantastic shop truly a step back in time. Third time a charm.
Not a easy thing to make and your skill and painstaking work paid off.

Thanks!
