  • This is a quick review of the Burley Bark Ranger XL dog trailer. I got this as the other dog trailers we looked at all seem to jave issues, like our trailer tiped over or the wheels fell off. So I looked and looked for a Full Size dog trailer that had big tires, easy to transport and most of all was safe for our dog. I got it at REI, just happened to be on sale, plus was able to add another coupon. h
    However even if it was not on-sale that would not have stopped me from getting it. This video is just after unboxing it, nothing exciting so didnt bother videoing that. Our dog went it and took him for a short ride (no video, no free hands) and he just sat up and watched. I will be making a 2nd video while on the trail once the weather cooperates. So enjoy this.

    Awesome video! Haven’t seen many reviews on this. Definitely will be purchasing this soon. I like this design over the older version.

    Great video. We have the Walky Stick too. Been looking at trailers and your video is exactly what I was looking for

      Nice to hear that, best of both worlds having both. Dogs get a work out and then you can go where normal you couldn't because of distance or dogs not allow on leash all good.

    Thank you for this review. It convinced me to order the standard version for my dachshund!

      Please do a TH-cam video on how you like it. I’m thinking of this or the Thule Courier which can carry dogs and children

      So I have used it now almost every weekend and a few times during the week since I got it. I have to say its a blast, you dont know you are pulling it behind. My dog loves it, he wants to be in there and have his head in the wind while I ride. It also is solid in turns, never has tilted to one side. Other models I looked at with small wheels tip over and drag your dog. I have hit big bumps and no issues. So I would buy it all over again after knowing how much fun it is to take my dog with me now. Hope this helps.

      @@ronreeds9993 Have you tried using it with the stroller wheels? I want to be able to take my dog with me in the mall. Do you think this is OK to take in the mall?

      Yes we have, its big unless you get the shorter arm. But yes we stroll him around in areas where he can be out, like food courts and such

    curious how tall your dog is. by Burley's site it seems like like I need the XL, but sure doesn't seem like it from looking at their dogs they have on teh site. I have an austrailian shpherd that is 29 inches when sitting from paws to top of head

    Hello, is the bottom hard plastic and hose-able? Great video.

    • @ronreeds9993

      The bottom is solid, you could hose it however the top part is cover with smooth material

    Question - How is the handlebar on this. I have the smaller burley stroller (the tail wagon) and the handlebar is super wobbly right out of the box). Also wondering if you can adjust the height of the handlebar (where you push the cart)? Thanks I appreciate it!

    • @ronreeds9993
      @ronreeds9993  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is very solid. I don't use it every time we go out, but it has no wobble

    Can you use it without the handlebar or is that part of the frame/structure?

    • @ronreeds9993
      @ronreeds9993  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You turn the handle bar around so its over the rear end. It is also part of the structure.

    Not a good trailer for wet weather.

      Never think I would try it in the rain. Small light rain is no issue however.
