I have them on my tractor and I really like them. They won't vibrate off, but I learned the hard way you might knock one off if you are operating in trees or tall weeds. After losing one, I now have mine tied to the loader with steel fishing leaders. That way, if they get knocked off, the leaders will catch them and I can simply stick them back on.
I’ve had them on my Kubota for several months. I absolutely love them and use them all the time when mowing or using the box blade. I think their real value is in safety when you’re backing up. Children or pets can come up behind you unexpectedly. Great addition to any tractor.
I never thought about mirrors until I started using my tractor in the woods doing cleanup and a lot of grapple work. These mirrors would be great to have. thanks for showing them, they will be my next purchase.
Of all the short comings on my L3901, the lack of mirrors is the worst of all. I will be ordering a set of these next month. Words cannot express how grateful I am that I get to go to school on someone else's nickel! Thank your wife for me. Great, great present!
I have definitely considered getting mirrors for my tractor because I dont have eyes in the back of my head and I pull a trailer quite a bit with my tractor. I also have to drive on the county road about 200 feet from one part of our property to the other. It seems like I am always having cars sneak up on me before I can pull into the other drive on the opposite side of the road. These would be an awesome addition to increase my situational awareness.
Bought a set. I'm very impressed with quality. Plan to use them on my '54 Ferguson TO-30. No loader, so plan to mount on fenders at my hips to see the rear implements & backing up. Will report back on how they work.
Got my set for my T0-30. Tried them on the fenders at my hip. Great visibility, but they seem to slip on the painted fender surface. Haven't tried on the trails yet. Wonder if combination of smooth painted surface coupled with thin fender metal, vs the heavy steel on your loader mount frame is the issue? I plan to ask EMP for suggestions. Thanks.
Your wife is awesome and I congratulate her on the well thought out idea! I love them and I’m going to get a pair…. Will save my back and neck from the strain of turning around. Thanks for the info and the idea! Glenn
Hi Glenn! She sure is! This is the woman who rent a backhoe loader for me to play with on my birthday long before I bought a tractor. Thanks for watching!
I added golf cart mirrors held on by the same kind of powerful magnets to my B2601. A great addition! I'm so used to using rear mirrors on my car that I felt kind of blind without them. Vibration has not been a factor. ONE TIP: mine were too easily knocked out of position, and I learned there is a nut on the bottom of the arm that can and should be tightened to increase tension. Now, no unwanted movement but they are still adjustable.
Hi Martin, I do not have mirrors on my tractor. Yes I want mirrors on my tractor. Those look like just what I need. I love that they are held on by magnets, I worried about getting them ripped off and destroyed in the woods. I had cervical fusion a few years ago and lost some of the movement in my neck and it makes it a bit difficult to turn around enough to see behind me. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Hi Marty! Yes, the magnetic mount is extra insurance against the mirrors getting ripped off. With limited neck movement, these would be a big help. Thanks for watching!
Martin, You are so good. I love to see the new items you attach to Big Orange. I think the mirrors are a great add-on. If could convince my wife to get me a pair for Christmas, I'll be adding them to my tractor.
I bought golf cart mirrors from Amazon for $13 (L/R) and used JB Weld ($5) to attach the bases to the loader arms. The mirrors are adjustable, fold back if they hit something and look similar. The mirrors can be removed but not the plastic bases. I would still consider these for my next tractor though.
Ah! JB Weld! Amazing stuff! JB Weld is what's holding my tractor chain boxes to my FEL towers. 3 years of holding 20 lbs of chain in each over rough terrain. Thanks for watching!
I purchased a set of these mirrors after watching your video and review. I'm really liking them. I have a L3901 also. Very handy when you have to be on the highway by not having to turn your head around looking behind you so much. They are just handy all the way around. And thanks for all your helpful videos.
After watching your video I just ordered a set for my Massey Ferguson. I’ve seen them before but until I saw you having to tug on them to remove them I wasn’t convinced about the strength of the magnets. Thank you and please keep the great videos coming. Yours are always very informative and well produced.
Yes I put mirrors on my 2501 and love them. helps my old arthritic neck. I got mine at Walmart for $17.00 and mounted them with a small metal strip and some nuts and bolts. They are about the same size as those nice magnetic ones. Thanks for the video.
My tractor came with side mirrors installed. If they ever get broken or whatever, the magnetic ones would be a great replacement. Thanks for sharing these
thanks for the review, always cranking my neck to looking behind me to check for traffic when on the back roads. it's pretty loud with ear protection and engine noise. a youtuber from Europe said they are required on tractors, makes sense.
I think it's a good idea, Martin. I've seen a few folks in groups who use them and they highly recommend them as well. I don't think that price is too high - I've seen worse. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this video, Martin. Ordered a pair using your link. Hope you get some credit for the free advertising. Looking forward to using these. Often wished I had some when using the back blade but didn't like the idea of a permanent mounting style.
You’re welcome, Terry! They are nice to have and I like that I can pull them off if I don’t need them or to get to my chain boxes. Thanks for watching!
Your mirrors seem to give you a very nice rearward view. I got them for my New Holland Boomer 45. The magnets grab the steel loader support arms very well and the grip feels secure. The mirrors themselves are well made, and easily adjusted. Unfortunately my rearward view is blocked by my tall R4 rear tires. Can you measure the vertical distance from your eye to the center of your mirror. I think mine are mounted too low, wrt my eye height, to be effective, but that's where the top of my front end loader brackets end. You seem to sit "lower" wrt your mirrors. I may need to add an extension to the loader mount bracket to get the mirrors mounted higher, and maybe a little wider, to be able to see over and around the rear tires. Love your videos. Everything you cover is super clear and precise. Your keen problem solving skills are evident.
Hi Larry! Yes they do but it would be a better view if they were up higher. I have considered making extensions to get them higher and may do it one of these days. Thanks for the kind words and for watching!
I added mirrors a few months ago. They were a good add. My only issue is the the FEL controller on my MF2310 extends beyond the cab area and blocks the site line. Even with the slight obstruction it is better than not having them.
How's she goin'? Wow Martin, you must have been a good boy to get a gift like that!!! I have a cab on my tractor with an inside mirror. I thought of adding outside mirrors but thought that they may get hit with trees or what not. But one good thing about these mirrors is that if you hit something they would probably just break free and not be harmed. A big plus for mirrors in my book. These are nice and the price was decent too. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!!!
You can buy the mirrors and magnets many places including eBay and Amazon for about $20 -$25 total. Then it’s just rivets to put them together. But also keep in mind that if you have your rear tires in anything but their innermost position the mirrors will not help you see around them. You just get a good view of your tire tread…. At least that was my experience with my Kubota L4060.
Hi Howard! I'm going to leave them on and see if they stay in place as I travel over the hostile terrain of my property. I expect I'd use them the most when I have to do work on the shoulder of the road along my property. Also to keep and eye on implements, especially when they are offset. I'll do a follow-up on them after some usage. Thanks for watching!
I wanted to see what my landscape rake was doing so I cobbled an old set of clamp on vehicle trailer mirrors. I was not able to get the angle I wanted but could see enough to know I liked having mirrors. I bought a set of bolt on mirrors early in December. I would like to have the removable feature you have.
As always I enjoyed watching your videos. I just added a set of mirrors to my Kubota L3301 about 1 mouth ½ ago. I'm thinking about buying another set to put on the canopy for a review mirror as well. They are (much) cheaper to buy on Amazon plus free shipping with Prime. Happy New Year. Please stay safe and keep the videos coming.
Thank you, Bryant! I only found two comparable mirrors on Amazon and the were more costly. However, it looks like you can get $15 bolt-on golf cart mirrors and add some magnets and probably have a good solution. Happy New Year to you too!
I just ordered a pair, and it will be a trade-off. My Saw Hall is mounted on the L/H loader frame; with the mirror, I cannot carry my chainsaw. Oh well... When I am on the county road going to a neighbor's to brush hog or till at my old age, I get a still neck trying to see any traffic behind me so I can pull over.
I came up with something similar for my tractor but only had 1 magnet and found it wasn’t that solid, I think two magnets would have been better. Have a great one Martin 🙋🏼♂️🙂👍🏻
Them Mirrors are really cool Martin. That's a great find. I'm glad you shard them. Happy New Years to you and your family! I hope next years is great for y'all! See ya! Thanks again for this video. I'm going to see if I can get the wife to agree to getting some. lol
Happy New Year Martin to you and your family I think those mirrors are a great Idea. I have been looking but you may have just sold me on these. So handy to be able to remove when you want. Tell your wife that Jim thanks her too lol
Good evening Sir 😉👍 Yes side miroir are so useful in deed especially when I do snow blowing 👍🧐 Have a Happy New Year to both of you Sir and all the best for 2022 Sir Cheers 😉👍🍻👌
I have some very hostile terrain too and I look forward to driving on some of it to see how the mirrors hold up. Then I'll do a follow-up video on them. Thanks for watching!
Merry Belated Christmas Martin! I have been researching various mirror options for my L3901 for awhile now, so really appreciate your video. I like the fact that these are a package set-up vs. getting the mirrors and suitable magnets separately. Very curious as to how they hold up for you driving around your property as well as if the vibration level impacts your visibility. Hoping you might consider a follow up review video in the near future? As always, appreciate your efforts and the quality of your videos. Happy New Year!! Michael

Just so you all know. I bought these too. Took a couple of weeks to arrive. The company doesn't communicate when they've shipped. They're made of PLASTIC not "Extreme Metal" as their name suggests. One of the magnets cracked while installing, and when I reached out to the company, the ladies smug response was "read the website to not tighten" you'd think that would be in the instruction manual, but no manual.....and they won't even send me another magnet as she said "it will still work". It's no wonder Americans will buy from other countries because at least they try. I'd like to support American Companies, but as you see, this is service you get.....
That looks like a great solution. My question would be, will the adjustment point hold up to the vibration over time and in the position they are set in? I guess you (and hopefully, us) will find out. Thank you and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Hi Martin, great video! I was just commenting to my wife this morning that I need to find some mirrors for my Kubota B2601. Great timing! My only question, how is the vibration when the engine is running? Can you still see things clearly? Thanks for posting! Cheers!
Would love to have mirrors on my tractor. Problem is that I have my loader off as much or more than I have it on. I would have to have mirrors adaptable to both. I never have seen any like that on the market.
Hi Brad! You might consider leaving the loader on but taking the bucket off. You'll still have good maneuverability and you have good counter weight on the front to offset heavy implements on the 3 point. If you have 4WD, the loader frame will give your front wheels better traction. AND you can have your mirrors. Thanks for watching!
@@DIYMyWay I have thought of that but I like to Bush hog without it. Less bulk, better turning radius, better visibility and can get into tighter spaces.
Don't have my tractor yet (waiting for 6 months now). Cannot imagine pulling a cutter or rake near trees or fences and not having a mirror. Maybe some people like pretending they are owls.
😂 good morning brother and fans of DIY My Way. Im from COMIfornia and you sir had me rolling with the healthy baby thing. I want to apologize for the stupidity of this states governance. I haven't noticed them shaking yet, but since a lot of people have asked, I'll do a follow video on it soon. Thanks for watching!
Cheers!
Thanks! Good question! I'll let you know after I've used them a bit. Thanks for watching!
@@DIYMyWay The vibration is very small but will vary with different RPMS and different tractors
Those are exactly what I created same mirror, magnets but now I sell stronger magnets and rubber coated for almost half what they’re charging
Great idea, I'm very interested. Do they fold flat if needed? Thanks.
Hi Jason! Yes they do. Thanks for watching!

I have thought of that but I like to Bush hog without it. Less bulk, better turning radius, better visibility and can get into tighter spaces.
Don't have my tractor yet (waiting for 6 months now). Cannot imagine pulling a cutter or rake near trees or fences and not having a mirror. Maybe some people like pretending they are owls.
Hi Brian! Yeah, I've pretended to be an owl for too long now. Thanks for watching!
Hey great vidoe..can you do a month follow up video after used for a month or 2
Most definitely! Thanks for watching!
I sell them a lot cheaper on eBay than extreme metal products and have been for years. Now everyone is selling them.

Or and think stupid. Love your channel tha k you BTW on your back hoe dolly i copied your idea and it is great. 😊
