    You don't gotta take all that stuff of, after fighting with the dipstick for awhile I went under and figured out you can shove your arm up there and use a 90degree pick to press the tab in and a long screw driver to push it up 🙏

      I found out the hard way that pushing up from underneath has a lot more power and gets it off...

    Easier to take drivers side tire off and plastic wheel well lining and you can see the transmission filter that's on side of transmission and the dipstick tube which can be taken off with one small bolt to access filling. Also u should drop the transmission pan cause there is a filter in there too. I do this on my 2016 versa note.

    That is not the drain tube, that is the level tube. fill it up and when the oil starts to overflow out of the level tube you have put the correct amount of oil in. Hence no dip stick.

    I got my Nissan versa from 2016from a dealer. I already changed the motor oil and filter. When I noticed that there's no dipstick for the transmission. I called the dealership and the guy that sold me the car told me that that's a sealed transmission and the oil you don't have to change it. Can you believe that crap. I live in Puerto Rico they're going to charge me $250 to change the transmission oil if it needs to be changed. From what I have seen if the transmission fluid is brown or black it needs to be changed. If I was younger I would do it myself. I guess I'm going to have to pay $250. These guys at the dealership they are such liars. I also have a check engine code for a speed sensor. This is so frustrating.

    When trying to get the cap off, you have to push perpendicular to the body of the tube. I thought a long screw driver pushing down would work, but I couldn't get it off. I made a tool out of a heavy piece of wire with a 90 degree bend at the end, which was ground to to be flat on the bottom. With my left hand at the end of the long wire positioning the wire at the bottom of the opening in the cap, I wrapped my right around the cap and pushed the wire into the locking tab and easily lifted it off.

    • @javiervargas3461

Took me a few minutes the first time I did it this way but now that I've done it many times it only takes me a few seconds now. I got the idea from my local dealership BTW

    @Javier Vergas I'm curious, did you happen to measure the amount of trans fluid drained? When I drained mine I only got about a quart and a half so I was afraid to add more than that, in case the drain plug method didnt get 100% out, didnt want to overfill and damage, especially since I've heard the dipstick isn't very usable for this transmission. I'm probably going to put the remaining 3.5q I have in after another drain tonight. Hoping i dont overfill it and it was low all along.

      Also the video was awesome thank you! Super solid, and that last chunk helped me decide I'll put the whole 3.5 I have left in after this drain. I think itll be better than the 1.5. That part where you removed the bolt while it was running spooked me, what's that all about?

      Ok I did that secondary drain while the vehicle was running, lasted 90 seconds before I was scared it was draining too much. I think maybe something's leaking in that in between with my vehicle, lost a whole qt in that 90 seconds, gonna pick up another qt from nissan sometime

Bueno amigo suerte 👍

    • @javiervargas3461

      You can also measure the fluid that comes out and put back the same amount back, or buy a dipstick and measure the fluid before you drain it. It's up to you, but I did it this way and the car hasn't have any problems.

    • @dickhocolate1461
      @dickhocolate1461 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I'm not mistaken, I saw a video where someone removed the pan and did a complete fluid change that way, there's a metal filter inside the you can remove with 3 bolts, and he cleaned it out with brake cleaner as well as the pan, both got wayyyy cleaner so it seemed to help. I cant say for sure it didnt mess up that filter but in the video it seemed fine. And with that method you know you fully drained it.. I personally didnt want to buy the gasket so I've just done this method above once, about to do it a 2nd time right now. My car only lost about a quart and a half so I'm kind of scared to add 4 and overfill it, might go add the remaining 3.5q I have and see what happens.

    Mi hermano una pregunta, mi versa 2016 esta muy burro si hace sus cambios pero esta demasiado burro y a veces se jalonea, definitivamente es la transmisión pero tu crees que con el cambio de aceite se arregle ese problema, el carro tiene 115 mil millas te agradezco mucho si te tomas el tiempo de responder, como nota hace algunos me3ses un mecánico le metió la computadora y según borro códigos y el carro funciono como nuevo pero solo unas 20 cuadras y otra vez sigio con el problema por eso estoy indeciso si llevarlo a la Nissan y me saquen un ojo de la cara, una vez mas muchas gracias.

      Que tal amigo, definitivamente un cambio de fluido le va hacer bien, si la transmission aun esta bien.. Si la computadora te esta dando codigos tienes que arreglar esos codigos, no solo borrarlos. El codigo te va a decir si es un problema de transmission, o es otra cosa.. Asi me pasaba con un Maxima y resulto siendo el maf sensor, y fijate q es un problema comun en los nissan, asi q por muy tonto q sea el código q te de, es mejor arreglarlo o puedes dañar otra cosa

      Que tal amigo! Hijole hasta parezco brujo 🤣 es el mismo codigo que tenia en el Maxima que te habia mencionado, de hecho en mis videos hay uno de como arregle ese codigo.. Puede ser un problema con el sensor o talvez tienes un vacuum leak que es lo q hace q el carro se sienta asi.. Puedes empezar por checar todas las mangueras por donde esta el filtro del aire, asegurarte q la caja esta bien cerrada, saca el sensor y limpialo primero, muchas veces solo esta sucio. Si esto no te funciona vas a tener q renplazar el sensor, eso si tienes q ponerle uno original, los q venden en amazon o ebay estab baratos y no sirven a mi solo me servian 1 o 2 semanas y regresaba el problema. Si compras el sensor en el dealer es caro, so lo que puedes hacer es ir a un junk yard ahi los puedes encontrar originales solo limpialo bien antes de ponerlo, venden un limpiador especial para eso. Si gustas puedes ver el video q hize sobre eso, yo de echo limpie todo.. Suerte amigo
