  • We are loving our first time in the Philippines. Here are our first impressions of Bohol and Panglao!!! Spoiler it was Better than we expected.
    In this episode we spend some time relaxing on the beach, visiting the chocolate hills, watching the cute little tarsier and trying to stand on some little floating mats on the ocean.
    We ate local Filipino foods in a family run shop and fell deeper in love with this country.

    Originally from the Wirral, North West England we got married in 2012. After a few trips abroad we caught the #travel bug. In 2019 after 6 weeks in Japan we decided we were going to quit our jobs and take some time out to travel full time. After many delays due to the pandemic, in 2021 our dream finally came true and in November we set off on our journey.

    I bet you two would have enjoyed the Lomboc River cruise with lunch, live entertainment and a stop-,over on the river bank where locals treat you to a high energy cultural show. But I enjoy watching how calm and easy going both of you are and seem to have an appreciation for even the most local cuisine (commonly called carinderia). It was very endearing to see you bite that fish, head and all 👍🇵🇭🇬🇧 🏝 🏞 👩‍❤️‍👨

    We dont really pour the soy sauce into the food. That would be really salty. Instead, you can dip a little slice of the meat before eating. It is like this for most sauces like ketchup, gravy or vinegar.

    What was your first restaurant with the milk fish in Panglao ? Thank you !

    • @LostKnox
      @LostKnox  ปีที่แล้ว

      We are really sorry but we cannot remember the name of the restaurant.
      It was right on Alona beach. They set up a stand outside with fresh fish that you could choose from.

      We went to the place with the bangus because it was raining and we were hungry. It was also right on Alona beach so we expected it to be expensive.
      I think the second place cost us around 250 pesos 😅 so much cheaper and the family were lovely.
      Cannot wait to try more 😁

      Yes we have had it much cheaper too. But it is right on a tourist beach so we expected it to be more expensive.
