@@speakervox2563 Thank you! If it saves you time I'd be down for the individual stems + the full break and I can do the chopping myself. Would you be able to do that for 20$ CAD?
@@speakervox2563 Did you ever? I would love 1 shots of these as well. Trying to make music like Robohands, Glasper, & get my friends to rap over it like some common, joey, denzel curry stuff.
I'm happy to see others are also looking for samples and one shots of this kit. I would like to offer money to purchase a pack of samples of this exact kit!!!
I guess it's kinda too late now but I would have really appreciated if you could have recorded different one shots for each hihat, crash, snare, kick, etc. I would even pay for it, cause It's so incredibly hard to find isolated drum sounds that fit my personal taste and this perfectly nailed it. Best thing would be to learn the drums myself, but I can barely afford anything atm, let alone a drumkit^^
I don’t recall doing that but I wish we would of as I’ve had allot of people reach out about buying the samples of it. Will have to recreate the setup and create a sample package.
@@speakervox2563 thanks for your response man if you do it, I'll definitely buy it, but no pressure cool that I'm not the only one who wants to have these samples^^ you did a great job with the setup
@@2000Babbo Yes it is.. if I remember correctly i was over driving the preamp a bit just to get it to distort a bit and brake up in the right way just so it had a bit more edge to the sound of the the already killer snare.
The snare head is about 12 years old and hasnt been changed so imsure that is also part of the sound. WeTune it up pretty tight and then we drove the preamp a bit hard so it broke up a bit in just the right way. You just have to be careful and not overcook it going into your converter/Tape. Ive also used an Overstayer VCA Comp to sprinkle in a bit of character at times.
Hey Micah, The mics used were as follows: Kick: SM7 (original) Snr: sm 57 Hat: akg 451 OH: Royer 122 Front of kit was a cheap mic to add a bit of grit Pre amps were Api 3124 No compression or eq .
what a drumset! what a drummer!
Wow that drummer. Insane timing and feel.
I would pay money for one shots of this. Sounds amazing, have a hard time finding live drum samples that sound like this.
I will look back at session to see if we did any single hits or if it’s possible to extract from performance. 👍

I love how the last hi hat note before the snare hit drags just a little. Very hip.
Proper playing.

like a one shots sample pack with like 5-10 different recordings for open and closed hihats, snare, sidestick, you get the ponint

This drummer is funkyyyyy
What is the crash ride used here? Great sound btw!
It’s a meinl Benny Greb series
What was the kit used for this, like everything played
The Kit was a vintage Ludwig from the 70’s and the snare was A Remo.
@@speakervox2563 is the snare drum, a remo mastertouch?

@@speakervox2563 yep, I bought one of that a month ago, really killer sound to play neo-soul/hip hop
if you are looking for a drum like this the Ludwig Legacy Maple 20x14 or 18x14 is the way to go
How do you get this amazing snare sound? I know tuning it quite high and all, but still haven't managed to get this sound...
Love it
what about the snare? what is it?.. gear?
thank you
What kind of Ludwig snare is that?
What Cymbals are u using
hi! we can download the track?
anyone know the exact names for the hi hat and crash/ride cymbal?
That snare sound is to die for. Any advice of how to get my ludgwig breakbeat snare to sound like that?

@@speakervox2563 so that "squashed" sound comes from the preamp saturation! Super cool!
I guess you could get a similar sound digitally
is it a 20" bass drum?
Yes
are the samples available on any link?
3:56
Couldn't barely hear the ride cymbal. Besides that the drumming was great !!!
What is the snare ?
I bet it's Pearl Piccolo 13" x 3" steel... I bought some super cheap peace 14x3.5 and it's perfect for these situations! it was like 65 dollars?
It’s a remo Snr tuned way up! Worked great!
Can You tell me what hi hat cymbal was used and the little tamb on the hi hat? Love it
16" meinl sand hats with meinl ching ring
@@mnkrck Thanks so much.
What are the elements on the hi hats? Is that a shoelace on the cymbal?
It’s a sizzle chain. You can use a small beaded necklace.
What snare are do you guys playing?
Snare is an Old Remo
