You can buy from other places (Vagenari). Official straps don’t cost that much either, 200-300 from what I remember. The issue isn’t the price but the availability because they deliberately underproduce them and only give to the people they like which is BS.

This is not a 2024 model(4520), the clasp and the button that attaches to the case are the old version(4500).

To be honest I find it really frustrating having a patented mechanism. Locked in to VC straps which I’m sure must cost a bomb.

I feel a bit let down about the move from Alligator to just calve leather honetsly.
I'm currently wearing it on the calf leather and I love it. It has really grown on me imo.
