- Albania is a country with a hard past and much repression due to the communist dictatorship of Enver Hoxha that lasted almost 50 years.
In Tirana, its capital, we saw the consequences of this dark era when we visited its bunkers. In the country it was forbidden to profess any religion and most of its churches and mosques were destroyed.
For this reason, Albania was for many years the forbidden country, a country that belonged to the list of countries that could not be visited and that showed another side of the continent. Then, the hard preconception was created that it is the MOST dangerous country in Europe due to alleged Albanian drug trafficking mafias.
That dark time is over, and in Albania we were really happy, for its friendly people, its gastronomy, its security and its unique landscapes. We also verified that it is one of the cheapest countries in Europe, which helped us a lot traveling on a low budget.
I will probably retire in 2027 in Albania ! Love Albania from Belgium 🎉

Very nice video about our country. The funny thing is that despite all the preconceptions, Albania statistically have by far the lowest number of robberies per capita in all of Europe. And for sure isn't the poorest country in Europe. Albania is the fourth poorest in Europe to be precise. Greetings from Tirana 🥂

Let me tell you the kanun is older then Alexander the great time. In punjab where Alexander when he left the kanun there to and they called kanun the low same as in Albania. Yes it has changed but the concept of revenge hasn't changed. You look nice couple hope you had good time in albania

¡Hola! No visitamos esos lugares pero desde la terminal de buses se cubren muchas rutas, pensamos que con mucha seguridad sí habrá bus para ir a esas ciudades. Durres es muy muy cerca así que no será un problema. Nosotros fuimos desde Tirana a Berat y a Gjirokaster y fue muy fácil tomar el bus. La terminal se llama: south and North bus terminal KASHAR 🤗
