I'm across the pond in Connecticut, US. ☺️ I have enjoyed a few flower shows in April down at EPCOT in Florida. I just love the creativity that these shows bring, all the planning, and how they bring their art to life. It's so relaxing 😎
I went with friends on the last day, when they sell a lot of the plants at 5pm. My friends so kindly bought me a ticket, which was a wonderful surprise! I took loads of photos to draw and paint from later. I really enjoyed your tour of the show and watching you paint the flowers. Thankyou.

This was a great video, you must have been exhausted by the time you got home! It was so nice to see it from a visitor’s angle rather than just what you see on TV. I’ve never been and I now have mobility issues so it’s a daunting thought about getting round. I don’t know how well they are set up for mobility scooters, etc. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Probably the closest I will come to riding a train like that. I admire your ability to "paint what you see ". I am working on it but I still struggle. All of the gardens were fantastic. I absolutely loved all of the different clematis towards the end. The cherries 🍒 were amazing as well.❤

I’ve never been to Chelsea but used to love going to the Gardeners’ World exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham which was a brilliant day out. I wasn’t really into watercolour painting back then but not sure I would have been brave enough to take my paints with me haha. Loved your sketchbook paintings, they turned out really beautiful 😊
It was my dream to go to the Chelsea Flower Show but never made it, despite the fact that I had lived in Amsterdam for 13 years. Just returned back to the US. I did, however, visit the Barnsley House when Rosemary Verey was still alive. It was amazing. And your painting is beautiful.
This was a delight! I absolutely would love more vlog-type content, and you’re a natural at it. Also, I might have fainted if I was that close to Joanna Lumley. 😂

I've sadly (and shamefully being English in England) never been and only previously seen 'official' tv reports but you know what... because they 'cut to this' and cut to that' and only seem to show the winners I have never felt any real connection or genuine feeling of the place until now. I would have never pegged you for a breakfast KitKat eater! 😂 in my mind you were a prim elegant lady which you still are of course, who eats vegetables or a hard boiled egg and a bit of buttered toast with tea for breakfast It’s so fun to see you outside the art table for a few moments. With no makeup. You just got off the train, I must see what happens next…
It's ok to run out of time, the real joy is in the process and enjoying the moment of it. Not every sketch in my book is a finished piece. If you really want to finish though and run out of time it's worth grabbing a quick photo on your phone to work from later on 😊
