The portrayal of Julie is really odd. She doesn't come across as particualrly charming - skiving off work for a smoke, being patronising and rude to her mum like that.
@@ajs41No, if that’s how she was then that’s how she was. It just seems unusual in these reconstructions when the victim is usually portrayed positively.
The case of Julie is still unsolved apparently. I hope it can be solved one day, vicious murder when she had her whole life ahead of her at only 27 years old.
What’s so bad about saying that? Maybe the area is 99.9% white like many areas. Are you supposed to pretend it’s not? You’re the problem in this world not him.
I don't think it's a racist thing to say just fact. Some areas even now in 2024 are still predominantly white especially if its a village. The village I live in there are very few POC. So if someone noticed someone based on that it wouldn't be much of a surprise.
These old episodes are great. I loved this show back in the day. Brings back memories
Given how young I was I’m surprised and amazed at the bravery of my parents for allowing me to watch this show given it’s content Xx

The first and last cases were horrific 😢Xx
You will be happy to know that in the August episode for 1997 they arrested the rapist and charged him.
The rapist pleaded guilty at Norwich Crown court in July 1998 and was sent to prison.

Bystander effect I think it's called. Everyone assumes that other people have called the police. It's human nature sadly.
@@UnIimited_PowerThe term ‘human nature’ is a nonsense … it’s a way of devolving responsibility on to something abstract.

She seems like she was an arrogant selfish user. Probably going with different fellas or maybe revenge for being bossy at the factory
Is there any reason why she should be portrayed as charming?
