      You will be happy to know that in the August episode for 1997 they arrested the rapist and charged him.

      The rapist pleaded guilty at Norwich Crown court in July 1998 and was sent to prison.

      @@RichieMcCormick1888 The police were not willing to give me his name when I did the Freedom of Information Act Request. They only told me that he was convicted and sentenced.

    It always puzzles me why does nobody Ring the police when they hear something suspicious.letting the police check it out.instead of dismissing it as oh it must be this it must be that

      Bystander effect I think it's called. Everyone assumes that other people have called the police. It's human nature sadly.

    The portrayal of Julie is really odd. She doesn't come across as particualrly charming - skiving off work for a smoke, being patronising and rude to her mum like that.

      She seems like she was an arrogant selfish user. Probably going with different fellas or maybe revenge for being bossy at the factory

      @@ajs41No, if that’s how she was then that’s how she was. It just seems unusual in these reconstructions when the victim is usually portrayed positively.

      The case of Julie is still unsolved apparently. I hope it can be solved one day, vicious murder when she had her whole life ahead of her at only 27 years old.

      What’s so bad about saying that? Maybe the area is 99.9% white like many areas. Are you supposed to pretend it’s not? You’re the problem in this world not him.

      I don't think it's a racist thing to say just fact. Some areas even now in 2024 are still predominantly white especially if its a village. The village I live in there are very few POC. So if someone noticed someone based on that it wouldn't be much of a surprise.

      I left school in 1990 and was one black girl there for about 6 months, school had over 1,100 pupils. That’s how it was, simple as that

      Yeah, I've found myself going 'Oh, someone black' in my area as rare but don't think I'm a racist.
