- Hello everyone, I am back with another tutorial. In this video, I will show you how to crochet strawberry purin using chunky yarn. I have a tutorial for similar plushie just like this one and this time l decided to use the chunky yarn. (I will link to that video down here) I was not able to do a voice over for this video because I was super busy with my exam, plus the extra works of filming, editing, etc. I will do the voice over for the next tutorial. what do rounds 6-7 mean? it's 35sts or 42sts those two rounds?
I’m guessing it’s supposed to be 35sts since those numbers are in the [ ], I have no idea what the 42 stands for though, maybe a typo…?

Cut yarn leave long tail for sewing. Insert yarn into the first loops only of the remaining 6stitches from behind. Pull yarn tightly. Insert the needle back into the center. Weave in the ends by inserting into places around the body. Cut yarn. Ans the body is done !!🎉

R8 Count 12 stitches backwards and mark it with stitchmarker (or anything), and now count 12 stitches (from the place where we ended the last stitch) forward and mark with stitchmarker, (or anything)
Now we start again from the right hand side on the 12th stitch. Insert your hook, grab the yarn and make 1ch.
R8 24sc, ch1, turn (24) work your way to the next stitch marker.
R9-10 24sc, ch1, turn (24)
R11 9sc, dc,4sc,1dec!7 sc (22)
Put pompom inside the strawberry hood.
Make 11ch.
Connect the first stitch on the other side with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn.
Now find the center point in the middle at the back of the red hood, doesnt have to be the exact middle stitch, any stitch which you think is in the middle. Insert your hook, and this is whefe we start our 12th row. Grab your yarn, make 1ch, and we start R12.
R12 make 9sc and 1dec.
We will crochet into the upper side of the chains. Make 9sc and 1dec (30)
R13 3sc, dec x6 (24)
R14 2sc, dec x6 (18)
R15sc,dec x6 (12)
R16 6dec (6)
Cut the yarn and close the round as we did with the body.

how many skein/cakes of yarns did u use?
hello! is there any problem if i use normal yarn? i dont have the chunky one :( do i neeed to change the pattern or something?
I just made it (I used a 4 ply cotton yarn) nd yea, it looks like just a head. nd the actualy head (the orange/yellow one) is too small for the strawberry costume.
we could prolly use another tuts of her to make this (it's the uh, melody nd hello kitty one, where I think she used a cotton yarn) but we still have to change some things for it to look like pompompurin. hope it helps ^^
10:34 i have a question in this part, when i count 12 in the both parts they reech eatchother. But your have a lot of space betwin the marks. Tysm for the Is tutorial tho!
I’m sorry but I’m abit confused. After counting 12 in both sides, we are supposed to have 11 stitches left between two markers and we are supposed to leave that place to show Pompompurin’s face. Hope this helps!
Can it be made with another type of wool and would it still look good?
Yes, but it might turn out a lot smaller compared to this.

I used UHU glue which comes with a yellow tube.
