This is an awesome jam! Glad to see you back! It's wild that triggering one shot samples seems to be such a tricky task. The MPX8 seemed like the perfect device at the right price point, but it has so many software problems. I've landed on using my Volca Sample 2 in single channel mode and making sure I'm not sending clock, because it automatically starts the sequencer. Pretty happy with that for sequenced one-shots, and I think paired with a Beatstep or similar pad controller it would be decent for hand-triggering.
Thanks! Yeah, I thought about getting the MPX16 which has a lot more features than the MPX8 but overall the MPC seemed a better choice as I'm often running out of pattern slot memory on the Circuit tracks. The MPC is great for triggering samples but in a live jam I really would rather a dedicated set of pads. I could use the circuit tracks as a controller but the pads are really small!
Yeah! Awesome bit of kit. Any synth that doesn't need tuning up sounds like an improvement right about now 😀 I've got like four oscillators or so to tune up every time I power up! Cheers for your support :)
Have you found that the MPC has greatly enhanced your creation process and work flow? I have been contemplating buying one for a while now and wondered whether it would be a better buy than the MPC Key that was recently released. Currently using Crave/Edge, Minilogue XD, RX 5, Circuit and Alesis Micron.
Yeah, it's great to be honest. Circuit Tracks is a great little groovebox but I was getting frustrated with constantly having to make compromises in arrangements and just not having enough sequencer memory. In this jam I had a lot more variations of drum variations and fills than I've been able to previously for example. As far as I'm aware the One plus and the keys are the same except for the keys part so I guess that would be the deciding factor, overall, I feel the MPC is great value tbh, and with the new firmware still in public beta it's looking great going forward.
Your music rocks dude! I really appreciate how u have the track broken up by sequences explaining what’s going on song structure wise. Inspirational stuff, and happy to see it done dawless! 🦾🤖
Great track, high energy and I loved the close up of the Brute Factor knob! I have the Microbrute, some great sounds out of that series.
Thanks! I'm glad someone noticed - I had to shoot that clip again as it was too wobbly and out of focus the first time!
Greaaaat sounds.... Pure oldschool synths. Love it !!!!
Cheers, thanks for your feedback! 🙏🙂
I listen to it over and over again. I am very into EBM ❤❤❤

@@nanomancer You can change the pad sensitivity, but by default they need "thumpy" and "heavy fingers" to work best.
Ayyy! You finally got yourself a MPC.
