Hey Leo! At first, thanks for mentioning me in your video :)
I don’t really understand what’s wrong with the pieces creating the drivetrain… it looks sooo odd :( I had no such problems with misalignment of the gears when I was designing and building the engine… Anyway, I’m sure you gonna solve this :)
Another thing - because the parts look like rather poor quality, I would suggest you to glue the crankshaft segments together. Also consider gluing the walls where the crankshaft goes through…
Ughh… the quality of the bricks matters :(

In the meantime, I have already posted a new video in which you can see that the crankshaft is now working. It was a combination of factors: the holes in the sprocket were smaller than the studs on the other parts. But it also turned out that I had made a few mistakes myself. The building description is very detailed, but sometimes it is difficult - at least for me - to see the right position where to place certain bricks or plates. If I then look through the PDF to see how a certain building phase started, I see that there are sometimes small differences in the pictures at the beginning and at a later stage. That sometimes makes it quite a puzzle. Then it's a matter of trial and error. But that keeps my grey cells active. But I have indeed had to use the glue several times. I am now at the push rods for the cylinders and valves. Glue is really needed there too. I never thought I would need my dremel, glue and sandpaper when building with this kind of bricks. But the construction fun continues ... 😅
