Titanic's steam engine from building bricks - Update 2

This episode I start by reorganising the stock of building blocks. Because some bags contain different small parts (and this is not properly reflected in my list), searching for the parts takes too much time. I make sure that most bags contain only 1 type of parts and I put the remaining parts in small containers. These containers and their contents are easy to keep track of. Of course, I have also updated my list. And I have already noticed that the searching goes faster now. So in good spirits, I continue building the engine's foundation and crankshaft in this episode. You will see that I also make mistakes from time to time. Usually, when looking back at the recorded footage, I see that something is not correct. However, I don't show all errors and corrections. That would make the video too long.

Deze aflevering begin ik met het reorganiseren van de voorraad aan bouwsteentjes. Omdat in sommige zakjes verschillende kleine onderdelen zitten (en dit niet goed in mijn lijst verwerkt is) neemt het zoeken naar de onderdelen té veel tijd in beslag. Ik zorg er voor dat in de meeste zakjes maar 1 type onderdelen zit en de overige onderdelen doe ik in kleine bakjes. Deze bakjes en de inhoud zijn goed te overzien. Natuurlijk heb ik mijn lijst ook aangepast. En ik heb al gemerkt dat het zoeken nu sneller gaat. Dus vo goede moed bouw ik in deze aflevering verder aan het fundament en de krukas van de motor. Je zult zien dat ik ook af en toe fouten maak. Meestal zie ik bij het terugkijken van de opgenomen beelden, dat er iets niet correct zit. Ik laat echter niet alle fouten en correcties zien. Dan zou de video té lang worden.
Ik hoop dat jullie het interessant en leuk vinden om over mijn schouder mee te kijken.

In dieser Folge beginne ich damit, den Bestand an Klemmbausteinen zu reorganisieren. Da einige Beutel verschiedene Kleinteile enthalten (und dies in meiner Liste nicht richtig wiedergegeben wird), nimmt die Suche nach den Teilen zu viel Zeit in Anspruch. Ich sorge dafür, dass die meisten Beutel nur eine Art von Teilen enthalten und lege die restlichen Teile in kleine Behälter. Diese Behälter und ihr Inhalt sind leicht zu überblicken. Natürlich habe ich auch meine Liste aktualisiert. Und ich habe schon festgestellt, dass die Suche jetzt schneller geht. Gut gelaunt baue ich also in dieser Folge das Fundament und die Kurbelwelle des Motors weiter. Sie werden sehen, dass auch ich gelegentlich Fehler mache. Wenn ich mir die Aufnahmen anschaue, sehe ich meistens, dass etwas nicht stimmt. Ich zeige aber nicht alle Fehler und Korrekturen. Das würde das Video zu lang machen.
Ich hoffe, es macht Spaß und ist interessant, mir über die Schulter zu schauen.

You're going quite fast :) From what I can see on your video - you should definitely use some lubricant as the crankshaft should run flawlessly, otherwise you will experience unexpected damages to the construction - especially in the power train where the motors are connected. You should also pay more attention to how you connect the bricks - try to keep the rubbing surfaces as much smooth as possible to decrease the friction.
By the way - at 5:21 you used black bars, but you should use dark gray ones :)

I'm glad you're looking over my shoulder. And I am grateful for your input on this build. I am going to dismantle some elements again and carefully sand and lubricate them. Then put everything back together and check the connections. Especially when building the crankshaft, I have to look very carefully at the instruction so that everything will be in the right position. The 2 small rods at 5.21: you were right. I changed them to 2 dark greys. I will show all these actions in the next video as well. Thanks 👍
