Iwad wonderinf how far i was in the vid and i saw i was suprised
this is an accurate representation of me whenever i am trying to draw. for some reason the thought process always takes longer than the actual drawing. i get super distracted (most of the time the distraction has to do with food 0-0)
It's not that I wasn't enjoying Rin talking to herself and hopping on all the possible tangents, but I touched the screen to see the time of the video. Twice. And only the second time, when there were about two minutes until the end, I realized it was April 1st and Rin has always been making April fools video, duh! Congrats, I totally fell for it while being entertained the whole time! XD
The cycling through pencils and erasers was so fun for no reason, this video feels a lot like being on FaceTime with your best friend😆
Pro tip: Paint the backs of pages that have bled through with gesso. alcohol marker doesn't blend that great on it; however, pencil, pen and acrylics perform beautifully on it.

Oh wow...I usually use black ink to cover it up
my markers leave yellow stains on the pages next to where I used them and they don't perform too well on sketch/mix media paper anyway and it soaks them up, personally I'm opting to use them on marker paper/bristol only.
@@SilentProti which brand of marker do you use? I can recommend some that work better on mix media if you’d like?
I use Ohuhu/my ten copic markers on my paper and it works fine, it just makes shadows as waffles pointed out. It shouldn’t bleed over the lines or anything like that if you’re careful, I would just recommend being kinda choosy with liners bc some smudge if u put markers on top.

I know it's an April fool's joke, but this is literally my brain every time I want to draw. But somehow it ends up with me cleaning something 😅 I hate cleaning
Characters tend to be what I draw most of the time, whether my original characters or others. Haha. 😄 I think it’s kinda rare for me to draw anything but characters in my sketchbook. 😋
So relatable I spend half of the time collecting my supplies and day dreaming 😭

Yeah, I love Jazza, Chloe Rose, Rae, and the rest; however, you speak to me in a way none of the others can. You inspire me tremendously because I too suffer from chronic illness. There are some days when watching your videos literally gets me drawing and painting because I hurt too much to move. Was getting ready to draw today, now I’m extra inspired!! Love your work Rin :)
this may sound kind of funny, but i keep my erasers in a small gum container. Like those 35 stick packs. Once youve successfully passed out the gum during a class, you take out the cardboard bit and its a travel size clear container. i use gum to help me avoid eating so i have a lot of the boxes. however my kneaded eraser is in a cracker barrel mint tin lol
honestly, theyre perfect for so much. you can throw like 5 or 6 different erasers, (i have 4 of different sizes in one and you could easily fit 2 or maybe even 3 more in there.) but they're perfect for those small things you need, sharpeners, erasers, blending stumps, you can even have compressed charcoal in them, theyre great!!

I have been so inspired by your videos (found you lastweek) that I've started sketching heavily again. I worked as a pet portrait artist for a while but at one point I became ...I guess burnt out? I adore animals and drawing/painting them but I ended up getting too obsessed with getting my work *so prefect* that I just didn't enjoy any of it 😞 it has been so long since I've even finished any work, I felt as if I'd forgotten how to do it all.
Watching your videos has inspired me to try again and not get myself so wrapped up "perfection". My work was all about capturing the animals personality and beauty whilst adding my own style to it, I really miss that.
I cannot thank you enough for putting your ideas and work out there, you've also helped me to overcome that nervousness of starting a new sketchbook or practicing different media again lol ♡
