I really really liked seeing the new characters! I was shocked that Poppy had a sister and that branch had brothers! But most of all, the villains are what I really think carried the movie! :D
I agree with you, I was interested and i was like hmm how much did it cost to make the Trolls movie. I guessed that the 3 Trolls movie would cost more than the first one but the first one costed more and that's what shocked me It says the buget for the first one was 125M and 3rd one 95M dollars

You know it actually surprises me ... When I heard that DreamWorks was making a third troll I groaned loudly and I thought it was another milk cash cow for the franchise.. but I actually enjoyed it... It was fun and I love that they changed the art style when they used the hippie button and the music actually got me singing along..

my ONLY complaint was that poppy’s sister felt so odd and outta place ? they love their long lost sibling trope but hers was soooo random and goes against the lore we already had (you’re telling me NONE of the pop trolls ever mentioned the first born princess ?? )their dads whole catch phrase was “no troll left behind” but he left his daughter ;; lazy writing on that part but that’s my only complaint !!!

Same complaint here. Viva really is a charming character but she could of been done so much better if she was able to matter story-wise under the same movie she debuted in. Kinda felt like their thought process was just "Hey this movie has a big family/sibling theme... uh lets make poppy has a sister too then! We'll figure out how to fit in her later"
It would be interesting if king peppy's catchphrase originated from the trauma of losing his daughter, kinda as a compensation. Not trying to justify this cuz i too think they haphazardly put viva into the story, but
The way I could see it making sense is if they did a head count of who made it out of the troll tree while King Peppy saved anyone else he could, then anyone missing being automatically assumed dead. Sure someone as important as Viva not being planned for in the first one does make the potholes pretty big, but I'd imagine that her being one of the trolls that got separated is something the others wouldn't want to bring up for sake of everyone staying happy since BEING HAPPY was such a big thing in the first movie.

Disney, what the hell happened? A Trolls Movie with Eric Andre in it, and a movie about a Talking Lizard with Adam Sandler in it are much better than your 100 years celebration Film.

7:19 something I loved about the camera is that whenever Brozone of Velvet&Veneer argue, the camera shakes slightly, focus on some characters with a quick zooming, there's almost no wide angles, like someone's actually filming them for a back-stage interview. It goes well because it amplifies both groups problems that shouldn't be seen by the fans (the bros being disfunctional because of the pressure forced on by JD and the twins being criminals)

Fr I’m literally 21 whole ass years old and I actually find this whole franchise fun!!
Its amazing how I hated the first trolls movie, but then loved the franchise after trolls world tour. And now band together is my favorite in the whole trilogy, but yet I love the whole franchise. I have some problems with the trolls movies, but not enough to hate them all. And let's face it we all know dreamworks is going to announce a 4th trolls movie, and will either show how branch and poppy met, or that somehow poppy's mom is still alive.
Um... Poppy doesn't need to have a mom- because as we saw in World Tour, trolls are hatched from eggs that from the hair of whatever parent. and it seems to be random.
Probably not a 4th movie, but their track record seems to be, Full Movie first and then a short as a follow-up cause

Me too, I was also bullied and hated, I'm very happy that a lot of people are now loving and really liking the Trolls franchise now, plus I have been a fan of the franchise since 2016.
Not gonna lie, I actually enjoyed this movie. Didn't think I would until my girlfriend told me to put it on and it definitely got me watching the other three now even without her (don't tell her)

Tiny Diamond has to be my favorite part of the movie. Not only is he amazing comedic relief, but he's an awesome take on the "Tiny Bidy w/ Deep Voice" trope, and he was SOOO comedically small, especially when you see him in wide shots against everybody else, it's amazing

The music in this series has always hit itout the park for me, both in original songs and the monster melodies they curate. Seriously the melodies alone are so fun, takes me back to my glee watching days😅
I hope in future specials, sequels, spin offs or whatever they bring brozone back. Each brother alone was great to know and a joy to watch interacting with one another❤️

10 minutes in and i was already laughing and singing along. As much as i had hoped for something similar to trolls 2, i can't deny my love of the 'boy band' trope in media lol😂
The funniest thing about this movie(outside of its amazing jokes that caught me offguard) is how much Velvet and Veneer in the movie want to be popular and cheated to get it yet them being themselves is what charmed a movie audience. I've seen alot of love for Brozone and the usual cast but the people nuts about Velvet and Veneer mean it. Kids have also been super into them even apparently wanting them at birthday parties. Dreamworks advertises the movie alot with Poppy and Brozone, but I don't think they understood how much people would love completely goofy and outright evil villains like Velvet and sympathetic 'sidekick' Veneer.
Out of all of the trolls band together reviews I’ve watched yours really feels like the most genuine and accurate. You actually know what you’re talking about and the ideas the movie was trying to push (unlike a lottt of other movie reviewers)

When I first heard of an announcement of a third movie, I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it although I did love the second! After rewatching the first two movies a few weeks before this one released, I really saw the potential and this movie did not fail!! It’s so impressive how much they improved from the first movie and it’s so good!!

Honestly I adore all the trolls films. When I saw the first one, I replayed it constantly because it was that fun. Trolls Band Together is definitely my favorite out of the trilogy. I love the jokes, animation, songs and the brothers! Also I love that the villains got arrested. That rarely happens in modern animated movies or shows
Yeah no I’m happy NSYNC didn’t voice the brothers because it would’ve ruined the characters and would not let the bros be their own characters. That’d make them just… inserts of Justin and the band. That’s why we have the NSYNC trolls (named Kismet)
Hard agree ~ I never expected to love the Trolls franchise, but there's just something about it that's absolutely magnetically fun. I've gone to see each one in theaters now and I really hope they do a fourth one where Poppy and Branch get married or something because each movie is better than the last one and it'd be great to have like... Six to pop in any time and just get that good neon glitter Trolls fix.

I heard the announcement and I was annoyed, thinking that the franchise should’ve ended.
But my friend made me watch it, and I saw it two times in theaters. I loved velvet, veneer, and crimp so much!
This movie really surprised me in positive.
I have to say that I was especially happy with Veneer's arc and the fact that when he redeems himself, that doesn't automatically erase the bad things he has done, just like being a victim of his sister's abuse. He knows he was horrible and accepts to he has to pay for his crimes before he can be fully redeemed and also, the main characters aren't forced to forgive him istantly and it's not their responsibility to follow him in his sentence, nor they excuse his actions just for his sister's treatment.
Many kids movie just spit the bullshit: "Yeah, X was a muss murderer and a psycho, but they said 'sorry' so now they are good, won't pay for what they've done and you MUST forgive them. Come on! Forgive or you'rea bad person!/Y was mean and abusive to them, so you must excuse X 'cause that cancels their wrongdoings!" message or push the: "You must fix them, it's up to you to change them".
It was refreshing to see a realistic, healthy and good message for the younger audience: "If you did bad things, you still need to make up for them, sad backstory or not, forgiveness is earned".
Trolls 3 feels like a fan fiction in the all the best ways possible
These are fun movies that are just meant to be fun, not super groundbreaking. Yet they still put in the effort to make them good movies. And according to Justin and Anna they'll continue doing these movies till DreamWorks says they're done cause apparently it's too fun to be in these movies

I watched this movie after seeing an early showing for Wish because I thought there was no way it could be worse.
I'm so glad I did. The animation in this film is genuinely beautiful. I was completely stunned at the textures & the microexpressions are some of the best I've ever seen.
I heard that Trolls Band Together made more money than Wish somehow
@johnni-raecalzada2500 it makes sense. Wish had a really short theatrical run & Trolls 3 is STILL playing daily in a lot of AMC theatres.
Honestly, Wish set itself up for failure by promising to be the pinnacle of 100 years of Disney animation & then being the most mediocre animated film they've ever released. Meanwhile, Trolls had zero expectations set on it, so any flaws could be ignored.
I liked the first one and hadn't seen the second but I had extra time and watched this in theaters. I have to admit, it was really good. I laughed and enjoyed the visuals. I'm still a little confused on the world building dynamics as the first movie makes it feel like the dark ages, the second had rock and roll and electric guitars, and now this movie has a futuristic setting with yachts, floating cars and semi-advanced tech. Still, it was great

I actually really loved this movie series since it first started. I used to babysit my cousin and Trolls was all he wanted to watch. I started off liking it ironically, but it quickly became genuine love lmao. This series doesn't miss for me.

Trolls is my girlfriend’s hyperfixation and I’m all for it. Now that the world is expanding, it just feels very fun and bright and colorful
this is exactly what i thought. like damn they really said fuck it and did the classic lost sibling trope and threw in the boyband shit and popular artists but it really just works in all the best ways. even at the end when it was revealed branch was in another boy band i groaned and was like "fuck so when did he have time to do this??? they really just threw that in there for justin timberlake" but when i thought about it it actually fits perfectly into the lore. they really worked that one out.
Literally the only reason I gave this movie a glance is because of Velvet and Veneer. They carried the movie. The jokes with those two were funny and their singing voices aren't bad at all either.
Yeah, Trolls 3 is my favorite out of the trilogy. I remember watching the first movie when I was around 9-10 and not liking it, so I decided to watch all of them again. While I liked the creative decisions regarding the animation and its stylization (the water being orbeez or glitter, for example), I watched all three movies with mostly a straight look on my face. I didn't really feel much emotion while watching save for a few moments.
The first one is still definitely my least favorite. I like where they were going with the racial commentary in the second one and I did love the funk trolls and Cooper reuniting with his family. Velvet and Veneer carried the third movie for me because I watched all the movies specifically for them. The brothers were also nice to watch. Personally, I wanted to see more of Veneer and Floyd's dynamic, maybe in the future though. The music was fine. What stood out to me was Watch me Work, Sweet Dreams, Mount Rageous (best song IMO), Better Place, and It's All Love. Also, Tiny Diamond wasn't annoying like I'd thought he'd be, and he ended up having one of the only moments that made me laugh, which was cool.
Anyway, they were all fine movies for me. They make for a good time, but personally, I'd only watch the last one again. Like if I were to rate them, Trolls 1 would be 4-5/10, Trolls 2 would be a 6/10 and Trolls 3 would be a 6.5-7/10

Wow... This movie has very, I mean very mixed reviews. Many people think it's good, and some think it is bad maybe because of their personalities, and maybe the story or their styles, I don't know. I personally think it's good and very well crafted. The animations good, the songs are the catchiest songs I have ever heard in my life. Even the fact that they used language that a gen z would use, it seems like theyre trying something new. Yes i know that the second movie does this too.
yes! the third one totally got me too! i wasn’t particularly interested in the first and second but this one, with all the new family dynamics was really comforting and fun. we need movies like these, a safe silly place where to be a kid again :)
YOU MADE ANOTHER FIRE VIDEO!!! PREACHHHH!! (Your Ruby video and this one are so good!!). I have been a fan of this franchise since the first one, and I will admit when I heard the synopsis of the movie and saw the first trailer I was not super on board. As in I felt they were milking my fav Dreamworks movies and "there's no way it could be better then the second one" but I love that I was wrong. The more and more clips they released the more I found myself getting excited and the less doubts I had. I got to see it early and my god this movie is 10/10. Everything about it is so well done and thought out. They definitely focused more on characters this movie which is why I feel it has a better umph to it. I wish the trailers and clips they released in general did not spoil as much as they did (such as Viva being the sister) but they also had so many tricks up their sleeves and I will admit they did hide a LOT OF GOOD STUFF. I don't think it was a missed opportunity to have *NSYNC as the brothers because to me the guys playing the brothers suited them so well like all of their performances fit better to me at least!! Viva is my fav character of all time, even before the trailer dropped with the sister name drop I saw her design and instantly fell in love with how she was designed. And the movie delivered on my high expectations of her. Her arc was so well done it actually shocked me. I cried so much over her plights. She is arguably one of the best written of the franchise and I love how gently and well they handled her trauma (compared to the grandma thing movie one). Like her being like Poppy then suddenly her worldview (Poppy's) crumbling because something so perfect just like she dreamed is more complicated then she thought, she is hurt and traumatized (for valid reasons) like having her be exactly what she wished only for only for the rug to be pulled to show her what family is really like is so gut wrenching and brilliant. I am just blabbering though so I wont keep going, as I could go on for hours probably about how well Viva was written. Everyone voice acting wise and music wise did amazing, Camila Cabello stole the show for me and so did Brianna (singer for Velvet). Overall amazing movie! Great review :).

Troye Sivan deserved a way longer song, even if they cut it down to the 27 seconds that it is in the movie. I was hoping to find a full version of lonely people on the soundtrack release, but it’s still only seconds long.
Their whole world is supposed to represent toys and crafts. Things we've all played with or used to make play time more fun. (Like making back drops for the scene) and so on. I just want someone to point it out!! That's why the water is made out of glitter or orbees. Or why everything is made out of some type of fabric.

I got dragged into watching trolls 1 and 2, 2 I thought would be lightning in a bottle but I was still kinda hyped for 3. 3 absolutely blew me away
I initially went to see this movie to have fun w the visuals, but just like you said, they were dedicated to not giving a crap, and it made me pay attention more. The dedication to the aesthetic, to having Fun, it’s so well executed. 10/10
The reason why they probably weren't played by N*Sync is because singer =/= voice actor. Justin Timberlake's voice acting was kinda rough in the first film still, but he's learned over time and he's SO GOOD in the third part. But chances are that the other members of the band just... didn't sound good. So I'm glad they didn't force it, and instead hired talented VA's that managed to bring out the humor and personalities perfectly in these delightful characters
I gotta say I really did not have high hopes when going into this movie. I normally wasn't a huge fan of the movies but I watched it after hearing a few songs from it and I was actually surprised at how good it is. The characters don't seem overly happy like in the first movie, or overly positive, and the jokes are balanced out with actually good humor that made me laugh. The villains were great too, I loved their dances and their songs, even if their singing wasn't natural.
Heck, even poppy was a way more flushed out character instead of an overly positive, almost brat that she was in the first movie. I didn't like her in the first one because of that, but in the past two movies it seems they've actually flushed out her character more.
the only think i disliked about the movie is i feel like viva didn't need to be there
branch having brothers felt natural and not forced, and they did a good job with the backstory and all, and seeing the movie, it would make sense why he never mentioned them before, but viva just felt kind of...there. idk i feel like you could take her out and the story would be the same. It was the same thing with bridget and gristle too- like they didn't really contribute anything to the main storyline

What's crazy is two things, one, this movie had a 95 million dollar budget and looks BETTER than Wish, which has a 200 million dollar budget. B, both, more or less, have the same ending. SPOILERS AHEAD,
Both defeat the villain(s) with a song and somehow, Trolls Band Together did it better, and Wish. This movie was just a delight for me.
On the way to the movies my mom offered Wish first, and we all screamed NOOOOO and then we decided on Trolls 😂 It was a great movie

The third Trolls movie shows that the Trolls franchise has a lot of creative writing and its hybrid animation, including that it's one of DreamWorks most global loving franchise's of all time.
Have only seen the first one but I do actually want to see the rest. Like most of you I was annoyed at them making the other two but the clips I’ve seen genuinely look good haha

I will say this when it came to the third movie. When the social page announced they were doing a third movie, I was really nervous, excited but nervous. I was only looking forward to the Broppy💞 moments and the Hulu series was not helping me with understanding. Then I saw the third movie and I was glad that there was enough Broppy, but it left me wanting more. Hence why I was nervous all thanks to that Hulu series 😔. All in all, the movie was good and it had great music and a decent story line (I do like Branch's extended family).
And I am so greatful that I am not the only one who....isn't fond of Viva. I would say more disliking things but let me assure you, it's her "good" personality that makes me not totally hate her.

Ron Funches was in a different movie this year, Under the Boardwalk, which was fun but totally dumbed by Paramount.
My conclusion: I genuinely need Eric, Daveed, Troye, Kid Cudi and Justin to be an actual band now. Also this movie was genuinely enjoyable, I went into it with no expectations and thought it was really good for what it was [a children's movie].
The original Trolls was solid enough, but Trolls: World Tour was lackluster. I'll get back to you on Trolls: Band Together.

Only thing I hated was the poppy’s sister…this was the most pointless and useless character and side story. Sibling relationship is already a heavy theme, I would rather be focused on branch family instead of whatever viva was…why is she in this??? Why does poppy need a sister?? I hate that!

I watched the first trolls movie mostly due to my little brother and sister and it wasn't bad but didn't wow me. I skipped the second one but then I heard about how people were losing it over the third one and I thought I'd give it a chance. And then I watched it again. And again.
The characters are on point almost all the music lives rent free in my head and the sibling dynamics here are pretty relatable, add in the jokes and this movie is just gold to me.
