Just in case you're not aware of the fact, replacement clock faces are available from Waterford crystal for the clocks for very little, the value of the entire clock is in the crystal, not the works. So if a battery change doesn't fix the problem, all is not lost. You could also ask any modern Waterford seller, they may be able to supply you with the replacement as they sometimes have an arrangement with Waterford to replace clock faces - tbh, back when I was involved in retail the replacement clock faces were free, but that's 25 years ago, that might have changed since then... congratulations to you all on the arrival of baby Laurel, she's beautiful...

Wanted to tell you the copper pans you set back down, they are absolutely the best to cook with. Food don't stick and the wash up so easy. I love those pans.

20:00 Typical eggshell teaware, sometimes with lithophanes, as you say, tho I have yet to see a "naughty" one lol. ( If you find one, post it in my group!) 20:30 modern Kutani mark. 20:35 Japanese Satsuma... I cannot really see the mark but could be Shu 秀 as in Shuzan 秀山. Shu literally tranlated means "excellence" or "beauty". It would take me a while to decipher the last two. The one with lots of gilding is late Nippon to mid C era Japanese, and the "Eagle" plate is either American Chinoiserie or oriental and made for export to America, possibly post WW2 era. Congratulations on your baby girl btw. Women are amazing : )

It’s very fascinating watching you pick up items I would never consider and learning how much they really are worth and why. Never disappointed. My aunt had gotten Haviland from my grandparents and my uncle dropped them all as he was bringing them to her. That was probably 50 years ago. Oops
I have a brandy snifter packed away, a gift from my in-laws It’s clear - my MIL made boozy fruit in it every year. How do people decorate with them?

Wanted you to know those glass obilisques(sp?) are familiar to me. I have a perfume bottle that has the top cut out just like your pair. It, too, is shaped like a pyramid for the stopper and the back is cut out. I checked it and it has a partial gold sticker (small like Lefton) but all I could make out was that it said hand polished. I do remember my Mom picking that up in Chinatown in New York in the 1950's. Don't know if this will help but just thought you would like to know. P.S. I like the new hair color!❤

So, we'd have a lesson, then she would get 'loaded' and we'd get sent off for about an hour for lunch or whatever. One day we stopped at a 'junk' store and she found one of those pagoda crystals for pretty cheap and bought it. It is chipped up, but we were both totally in love with it.
