I have learned so much watching you. Today at goodwill i found a celedon green mccoy polar bear and cub planter for 3.99. It just spoke to me. You always talk about celedon pottery. I left it but couldn't get it out of my mind so I sent my husband back in to get it.
as for cleaning your gem tree, i would just spray it with windex, let it sit a minute or two and rinse it well with the sink sprayer. it should come out sparkling.

Clean your little tree with dry salt and a soft brush. You can clean dusty artificial flowers and feathers with dry salt too (sometimes by placing them in a paper bag and shaking) I have used this method many time! Congratulations on your Little Baby!

There is an artist in Oregon that makes things out of the ash from the 1980 eruption and just signs his pieces "stan". Happy hunting.
Right Linda I remember that day so well, I was 8 and remember the sky was falling, I didn't know exactly what was happening but my mom and I had to go out in it and walk some place, she put a mask on me and away we went here in Portland. I was in pure awe and the streets were filled with ash like snow. It was crazy!!
That gemstone tree - a 2 inch wide paint brush makes a good duster. After the first dusting, I've been know to take a second paint brush and spray on a light layer or two of windex and go back over it. As for falling leaves - I couldn't see it well enough, but the stones ate probably just glued on to a loop of wire - as opposed to having been wire wrapped. A tube of E6000 and a lot of patience will get it back together. OR just title it "Fall" and let Juliette glue the fallen stones on the rock below the tree😁

I was going to comment the same thing. I remember the day Mount St. Helen's erupted as I lived in Vancouver, WA at the time. It was pretty crazy!

A tip to help clean your metal tree and stones, use a paint brush.

You might try immersing the tree into a large bucket and add a couple of some of those denture cleaning tablets that dissolve in water.
An idea to clean the Jade tree is to get the keyboard for computer cleaner. It just sprays air.
