+Crunchy Scott Make it with the aqua faba then let me know. Even though my omelet didn't come out with an omelet texture exactly, they were still very good. Max and Maggie have asked me to make them again. They don't know what a real omelet tastes like so to them, the recipe is a hit.
OMG Jill I just bought Chickpea flour to make eggs! When you said "Hate that" I had to laugh. My grandson Dillon who at 3 became a big brother is notorious for saying this response. I said, Dillon what do you think of the new baby and he said, Hate that small face. Lol I don't know when you said that I started laughing because whenever I hear, hate that well I digress. I'm making these tomorrow. It has to be good if the kids say so!

Seriously? They carry Kala Namak, aka black salt, which is sold finely ground and looks like pink powder? I looked online and see Wally sells Hawaiian black salt which is sea salt covered in activated charcoal. Not the same.

My flax meal never gets thick. I'm making this meal right now... The batter tastes really odd to me. But, I'm pushing through.. :) Okay. This meal was odd tasting, but more than edible. Salsa helped it out a lot. Not sure if I'd make it again but I'm glad I gave it a go.

So happy for you that Maggie liked the chickpea omelette! Try baking the batter in a muffin tin, pressing in the cooked vegetables before going into the oven. Mini frittatas to freeze and reheat as needed! Great for meal prep.

I have a question. I'm slowly transitioning to plant base. The last 3 days I have been plant base. Today I had some meat ( 2oz total) . My stomach feels upset. My question is could this be due to the meat? I've been on new meds about 5 days and they have not caused my stomach to be upset yet.

The thickness is coming more from your flax paste. Have you tried it with Chia seed gelled?
