    Long overdue video for us common “do-it all” types. Thank you Professor Jason Dukes!!

      Yes sir, Wasn't bad at all. In real time I was about 3 hours total on the bench start to finish.

    Yeah I could only find one video of doing the first-gen Bert it wasn't a very good video quality-wise to see what they were doing in the goal between the front and rear counter gear with the clutch packs and stuff inside there yet to have a big ol clamp to be able to clamp it together so it didn't pop apart when you were pulling it out and I would rather do it myself then to pay somebody to do it so I'm trying to find a better but you did an awesome job buddy glad you didn't have any problems then it goes into gear for you but thanks for the video you do an awesome job but you have a good one talk to you later bud

      I heard the Bert was spring loaded like you are describing and I bet that does make it harder to handle. I need to figure out how to do a camera suspended straight overhead of a well lit bench for this kind of work. Thanks Rick for the feedback.

    Nothing to it compared to the regular automatic transmission, don't know if this was actual time but it wasn't bad time doing it, those would be money makers as long as no hard parts are needed or waiting on parts. It's always nice to pull something apart and be able to put it right back together the same day when you don't do it for a living !

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am definitely not a transmission guy and would not even think of tearing down an automatic. Saginaw 3 speeds are pretty easy but that is my limit on manual ones as well.
      Total real time was about 3 solid hours. I cut out A LOT of video to get this down under an hour 😉

    Do you got a link or part number to the hardened yoke you used, I bought the Allstar one when I switched to the Falcon thinking it was the right piece but I noticed the wear last time I had the shaft out so I need a new one

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The hardened one I went to is the AllStar Hardened 8 inch yoke. You can get the AllStar either hardened or not. Maybe they didn't send you the hardened one. Mine shows no wear at all. The link to the one I bought is amzn.to/3O90Gmc

    Did you replace the needle bearing? What was the process like for that?

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No this was just the normal rebuild process for clutch pack wear. But replacing bearings is a non issue. You already have it apart. Main thing on small needle roller bearings is to wipe them dry and then use a little fresh grease to hold them in place while you assemble.

      We went to Camden Saturday but there were too many competing races in the area and the class was too small. Only 3 Street stocks 😞.

      Yes, we took the crush to a $1500 to win CRUSA SS race at Thunderhill Raceway. Still had some mechanical issue but we filmed everything. The day job is rough right now and I am working a lot. May be the weekend before I get it uploaded. Sorry bud.

      I switched from a rag service to washing my own and then on to the blue towels, and now I'm using the cheapest paper towels from the house and cut up old shirts. Sometimes, you can wash and reuse the blue paper towels. I'm getting so cheap that I save the cheap paper towels for soaking up oil after they have been used for cleaner types of uses.
