Technical issues aside. GREAT tutorial! I read you got the sound issues sorted! At first I thought some of my computers were being crazy. Strange things have been happening for me here lately. I thought they might of had the clap. Thankfully they are all "clean" and calming down now.
Fantastic tutorial, Rauko. I've never thought of using the Simulation settings - being new to Daz. I wasn't aware these things were possible. I'm looking forward to your future vids.
Welcome aboard. Got some interesting ones coming up shortly so keep your eyes open for them and good luck with Daz .. put the effort in and it will reward you.
Hey, thanks and welcome aboard .. it's a pretty easy thing to get your head around and removes the frustration you can get when clothing just doesn't "sit" right ..
Thank you so much! You're tutorials are so simple that everyone can understand and you're explaining everything. Keep up the great work bud 👍. I've seen a lpt of tutorials but all of them were complicated and I'm new to those 3D stuff, i didn't understand a thing. You're literally a life saver. Thank you!
Thanks for posting this video this is pretty cool. I’m gonna try this in a little bit and probably end up watching all your videos. You seem to really understand this vast program and it’s mind blowing. Daz can do so much stuff I learn more and more every day. I put off watching your videos/tutorials for so long just so I could play around with posing and learning how to load characters and morphs and stuff but I’m glad I did because now I’m starting to understand it. Cheers!
Welcome aboard Cooper - yeah, Daz has little things hidden all over the place that one day you just stumble across - I'm still learning now after all these years. Keep working at it and you'll get there in the end!
@@RaukoDaz3D 2 questions from this one. 1: My sphere and sheet don't have the grid on them like yours, how do I turn that on incase I ever need it? 2:When I hit simulate I got a message saying my dForce kernels on the computer for my gpu have not been compiled or have changed and need to be recompiled and that it will take several minutes to complete, would you like to continue. I'm just gonna hit yes so I can make this happen, but what does that mean? EDIT: I hit yes and it went by very quickly and I successfully draped the sheet, but I still am interested as to what it meant.
@@DarkStarDireWolf The grid on the sphere and sheet was because I was viewing things in Wire Texture Shaded Mode - you can change to that if you want with the little drop down menu that appears when you click the little icon next to your camera selector in the your viewport. There's things like Wire Mode, Texture Mode (base preview default), NVIDIA Iray mode etc etc As for you kernals .. don't worry about it .. It's something dForce needs to work and needs to do it the first time you run dForce with each new version of Daz (so I had to do it today when I upgraded to Daz 4.14) .. i think (don't quote me) - it's a small little database of numbers that dForce uses. Now you've done it - you'll won't have to do it again until you install a new version of Daz.
Thanks! great tutorial. May I ask if the clothes can achieve the same effect, that is, through dforce simulation to achieve the effect of clothes falling on the ground😉
Hey Rick - yes, clothes will be able to fall to the ground - but, it can be a little tricky in trying to get them to end and lay in a satisfactory fashion. There'll be a lot of trial and error in the initial positioning of them so they fall to the floor in a good way ..
Thanks R & D .. and sorry about the sound - there were a few issues in early videos but hopefully it's been sorted out in the latest vids I've uploaded!
Hey there .. hhhmm .. without looking over your shoulder it's a bit difficult for me to say. There's nothing "extra" in my settings that what you see in the video so it should just work .. The only thing I can suggest to help with the "halfway down" problem is go to into the Simulation Tab .. look for Stablilization Time and increase the default 1 to 2 .. It *should* work fine with a setting of 1 .. but try a 2 and see if it helps ..
Why does my sphere poke through the simulating plane? Instead of wrapping it self around the sphere it goes through the sphere, it reacts like melting plastic, any Ideas?

Hey there. Firstly, what do you have in regards a gfx card? Nvidia? AMD? Integrated? Also, If you go onto the simulation tab and then onto the Advanced tab within, under "OpenCl device" let me know what it says and what, if any, options there are in the dropdown menu.
Heyo rauko. Mine is a Nvidia geforce gt 610. It pretty old. Under advanced tab it says that " A valid opencl 1.2 device could not be found. Simulation using the dforce engine is not available."
There's no options under advanced tab...as I said it only shows that "A valid opencl 1.2 device could not be found . Simulation using the dforce engine not available." Under the advanced tab.
@@dveditz9525 Yeah, you could be running into issues with the GT 610 .. I'm not sure if the 610 runs opencl or not .. but, even then, you need about 4gb of video ram for dforce anyway so you'd struggle even if it could detect the card .. Only thing I can suggest is make sure you have the latest drivers for the card and then hope it gets detected
