PAL 8-1 Full FPG TAS Framerule Save Full Level

- First ever 8-1 FFPG full level! I had to play the level a bit differently in order to avoid some lag frames that occur on the practice rom for PAL. I went for this framerule save for a bit a little over a year ago, but I ended up getting demotivated and never got it. Recently I tried again and I ended up getting it within a few hours of attempts total! This saves 2.88 seconds / 8 framerules over a normal completion of the level and ties the L+R TAS! The only remaining PAL Full FPG left for Any% is 8-2 :)

i think u still cheated this despite using an actual controller, like idk?? doesn't seem legit :///
edater
didnt even drink coke or eat pizza smh
Good for you 👍
HahAhAHa PiN oF SHaMe
Clearly he didn't pass the flag line!!!! Obvius cheat!!!!
Plus he uses finger protection. It's like modified controller. THERE WERE NONE OF THESE IN THE 80s
Therefore this run should be banned and 'niftski' should be banned and only runs not banned should be runs filmed in the 80s by legitimate, good speedrunners, like Todd Rogers!!!!
How am I supposed to believe this is real without you having a single bite of pizza? And not a coke in sight.
I absolutely love how this joke is still alive
omg niftski is a rapper
first run to the pole of the day, no way
🗣🔥
He isn’t using a keyboard, this is cheating!
Mario's so good at the game, not even castles can hinder progress
oh no
SMB1 players have learned rolling
It's great to see this being adapted to another game!
12 hours from now: Niftski gets a 4:53.
Insane. Ggs
wtf actual legend
u usin' an original nes gamepad? 'cause i saw a "Nintendo" on it
yes
@@Niftski lol I wanna get one
The goat
Good job
Nice!
Why is this possible on PAL but not on NTSC?
Game isn't actually truly faster, just hastly edited to act like so, therefore things work different.
Many old PAL games have sped up the character in order to match the framerate for NTSC. Due to this there are multiple mechanics that work differently in PAL.
Another example is Super Mario World. In the very first stage, there is a Koopa sliding down towards you. In NTSC versions you have to dodge it, but in PAL,with its faster speed, you can instead run under. Though due to many other parts in the game being slower because of the framerate, like the overworld, it's slower over all.
@@dacueba-games It's not hastily-edited. A lot of thought went into the SMB1 PAL conversion. Some games just run 16% slower on PAL systems, but obviously that sucks for PAL players who have a slower experience. Other games just try to increase all the speed constants to compensate, which leads to a buggy and inconsistent experience. SMB1 instead had a number of small changes that actually all work really well and leave the game running at almost exactly the same speed. But it does mean the mechanics and bugs are slightly different between versions.
@@EebstertheGreat bro the physics feel considerably different, even at 50hz... but I guess I could just be crazy
@@dacueba-games The physics are different. Whether that difference is "slight" or "considerable" is a matter of opinion I guess.
this is so crazy...
Pretty sure you have the WR for best popoffs as well. :)
Cool
What setup did you use?
frame perfect jump to bop the beetle, D+R mid air, frame perfect jump into e6 subpixels
pal wr when
eventually

How to get that purple sky?
wdym?
It's a quirk with emulators and CRT. Normally the sky is blue, but here, (because it's pal on emulator) it's reverted to purple ish
@@cubbycat4020 There is no such thing as definitive NES color palette anyway.
@@Niftski I mean the sky is blue in the emulators but not in your and the other speedruners
@@JUSTT__SARANNSH Color palette.
what even is PAL
