After Age of Ultron this was the movie that was needed. The comedy and lightheartedness in my opinion started to make the next movies more cohesive, setting it up for Civil War & Endgame. I remember that after the first MCU movies everyone always looked forward to post credit/stingers. The moral of this story; Even the smallest and most insignificant of us can find redemption and make a change for the better. Great reactions, you could actually see Jenn perk up and enjoy the movie. I would call this movie sneaky good. A strong 7 out of 10.
Ant-Man and the Wasp were part of the ORIGINAL Avengers in the comics. So when they mentioned Ant-Man die hards like me and my group of friends and family were absolutely ecstatic. When we saw Wasp was also making an appearance the whole theatre stood up cheering. What an experience.

There was an Avengers cartoon that came out, after the first Avengers movie, and introduced me to Ant-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Otherwise, I would not have known them before the movies.

I LOVE that “it was never just a heist!” Line. It becomes so much more meaningful when you see Endgame and think back to it in the context of Scott Lang’s plan. 😎😜

Ant-Man is actually one of my favorite Marvel films. I went to see this in IMAX (back when theaters were still a thing harhar) with zero expectations. And I ended up absolutely loving this. Much like with other heroes, I'm like, how is Marvel going to make me like Ant-Man. Well they did it. I still revisit this one a ton. I can't wait to see y'all watch Civil War!
I had the same thoughts when I saw there was going go to be an ant man movie, and that paul Rudd was going to be it. Paul was one of those actors i just couldnt picture being in a marvel movie but he absolutely killed it in this.

All I can say is that the MCU is gold. Every movie was well thought out and plays out for the next one so well. I can't help but feel like a giddy little kid when I watch these movies. Just throwing this in here even though it is off topic. I discovered your channel with the My Friend Watches. You and the whole crew are so fun to watch, I dug into some of the earliest and saw you working out with Matt making a Spongebob reference, he totally missed it and then you said you were going to make him watch a bunch of pop culture movies. Oh how turn tables! Matt is such a personality that he and you actually inspired me to start working out again! Thanks for that and everything. I think the reason we like watching reactions is the same reason having children experience things changes our experience too. We see things with different eyes. It is awesome to change our perspective and share in something we both appreciate. Finally, you can tell Jennifer that the answer is coming without saying what the answer is when she asks a question. LOL Marvel really changed the game insofar as sequels and shared universes movies would actually improve and grow without retconning and changing actors playing the same characters. What we expect from movies and sequels has just fundamentally changed and those that aren't in their 40's just don't know how good they have it!
*Ant man was always special to me as a Marvel film for the juxtaposition of the small scale against the norm of massive sky battles, seeing the dead cut to the small fight around the Thomas the tank train set is always a little mindblowing and hilarious to me*

I'm glad Jen liked it! I feel like this movie is underrated. I really enjoyed it. She definitely had the same beginning reaction pretty much all of us had "Antman, really? Ants?" lol but it was a really fun and enjoyable movie. Also, whenever Jen finishes all the movies, there needs to be a reaction video to where they go back and react to all of Holden's "We'll see" and "Who's to say, lets just watch the movie" moments because then she'll understand all the references! hahaha.

Ant-Man is actually one of my favorite Marvel films. I went to see this in IMAX (back when theaters were still a thing harhar) with zero expectations. And I ended up absolutely loving this. Much like with other heroes, I'm like, how is Marvel going to make me like Ant-Man. Well they did it. I still revisit this one a ton. I can't wait to see y'all watch Civil War!

I had the same thoughts when I saw there was going go to be an ant man movie, and that paul Rudd was going to be it. Paul was one of those actors i just couldnt picture being in a marvel movie but he absolutely killed it in this.
Robert Downey Jr. was an unusual choice for a super hero, when he was cast as Iron Man. Sometimes we get surprised.

All I can say is that the MCU is gold. Every movie was well thought out and plays out for the next one so well. I can't help but feel like a giddy little kid when I watch these movies. Well done to the people who visualized this from the beginning and stuck with it, creating one of the best movie universes out there.

Just throwing this in here even though it is off topic. I discovered your channel with the My Friend Watches. You and the whole crew are so fun to watch, I dug into some of the earliest and saw you working out with Matt making a Spongebob reference, he totally missed it and then you said you were going to make him watch a bunch of pop culture movies. Oh how turn tables! Matt is such a personality that he and you actually inspired me to start working out again! Thanks for that and everything.
I think the reason we like watching reactions is the same reason having children experience things changes our experience too. We see things with different eyes. It is awesome to change our perspective and share in something we both appreciate.
Finally, you can tell Jennifer that the answer is coming without saying what the answer is when she asks a question. LOL Marvel really changed the game insofar as sequels and shared universes movies would actually improve and grow without retconning and changing actors playing the same characters. What we expect from movies and sequels has just fundamentally changed and those that aren't in their 40's just don't know how good they have it!
*Ant man was always special to me as a Marvel film for the juxtaposition of the small scale against the norm of massive sky battles, seeing the dead cut to the small fight around the Thomas the tank train set is always a little mindblowing and hilarious to me*

I'm glad Jen liked it! I feel like this movie is underrated. I really enjoyed it. She definitely had the same beginning reaction pretty much all of us had "Antman, really? Ants?" lol but it was a really fun and enjoyable movie.
Also, whenever Jen finishes all the movies, there needs to be a reaction video to where they go back and react to all of Holden's "We'll see" and "Who's to say, lets just watch the movie" moments because then she'll understand all the references! hahaha.
