  • During the late 80s and early 90s I spent so much time around Waterloo and surrounding areas watching but never filming or photographing which I regret so much , so I decided to do a few trips in the last 6 months to collect lots of footage before the normal changes once again . Interesting to see the 455 units are still going strong but for how much longer .

Hi Jamie, excellent video as always.
This brings back happy memories, as a spotty school boy in the early '70's I would travel up from Windsor with my Mum for a day touring the London termini train spotting, she worked in an office block sandwiched between Albert Embankment and the Waterloo approach, the building has long gone, but afforded views from the stairs of the trains snaking in and out. Of course in those days we would arrive in the old SECR terminus (p21 to 25 I think), watching to the left to catch a view of a Warship standing nearby the Art Deco Waterloo signal box; again both of which were mowed down by the "temporary" Waterloo International.
Sadly in those days I couldn't afford a camera and much of what I saw is but a distant memory in my brain.
Keep up the good work, Bryan
