I worked as a fingerprint technician for the government and I loved it. I am starting my own business very soon but do not have the money right now to buy the device that I was using during my duration at the job. So my business will start off as Ink which I was trained to use in case the machine ever went out during a session. I thank God for the experience I got there ❤️👑

So I am going to stick with the mobile ink fingerprinting for now, but I can not find any information on how to do this business in Virginia. I can't tell if it's an open, closed or hybrid state, and I can't find any information if I need certification of any kind. I am having a hard time finding any information. Either way I am going to purchase an ink kit and just jump in after lots of practice.
I’m a retired corrections officer and have experience in fingerprinting. Both ink and digital. I’d absolutely LOVE to do this and finally work for myself! A friend shared this video with me and said I’d be a perfect candidate. I’m surprised at how difficult it is to get fingerprints done unless you’ve been arrested!

I live in the state of Maryland and they are not accepting private agent for fingerprinting as this time with the state of Maryland- you have to get approved to be a private agent to do fingerprinting ,so I bought all of this supplies for nothing - it's on hold for now.

Be careful. There are issues. Check to see how many competitors you have in your area like Identigo and FieldPrint. You will be hard pressed to get work if they have contracts with many of the companies and employers. Just a heads up. Proceed with caution. It runs about $15,000 +/-. Make sure there's a need in your area. Reach out to companies first, see what they say.

I wish I had found your channel at the end of 2020 when I sold my home because I would have had the funds to jump into it. So, at this point, I just need to see how I can get my foot in the door with the education, a plan and using basic print & ink cards. If anyone can give any input or suggestions, information is welcome.
