Yes, this model is great. It’s super quiet. It cools really well and there’s hardly ever any water in it so it is self evaporating. I highly recommend. Thanks for watching.
When you put it in dry mode, that’s like a dehumidifier so it would be trying to pull water out of the air. You may have to check it and see how much it pulls. Good luck. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for your videos. I recently purchased this and you helped me make the decision to buy and have made it so much easier for me to use. How low did your temperatures get using? Mine went from 88 degrees in the house to 75.
Thanks for the video, I just bought a portable AC and have a setup where I put it on top of a sturdy stool and have a large drain bucket sitting right underneath the drain. I was wondering, why are there two drains? In any case, I opened up both drains so they can drain directly into the bucket
I bought this model 4 days ago at Costco. So far, it's read "E5" 3x, which shuts it off and must drain. I've had to drain daily. Tons of water. In Washington state. Unfortunately mine is upstairs, on carpet and heavy so I'm considering adding a hose. Manual says "draining only required during high humidity" considering FLA is way more humid than WA, I'm a bit concerned. It's becoming super annoying to wake up in the middle of the night to a room at 89 degrees.
Make sure that you have it on cool and not dehydrate. We had it running for a couple weeks and it didn’t accumulate very much water and it’s super humid here these are supposed to be self dehydrating. I’m not sure what’s going on with yours. It must be really humid there.
That was not much water to drain at all. My old portable A/C finally bit the dust. But I babied the old one for a year after I had already bought the Hisense with the single vent hose. I was shocked to see there was no drain hose included with the new Hisense unit. Hopefully it won’t be a lot of water!
These units are self evaporating so you really don’t get very much water which is cool and they’re super quiet. Good luck and stay cool thanks for watching.
This thing is self evaporating so it really didn’t have a lot of water in it. I was pretty surprised. I thought it was gonna be filled so I don’t know how often you’ll have to empty it. It depends on how humid your area is, but you can use the hose to do that in a bucket stay cool thanks for watching.
We ran the AC by itself, but for two weeks and it did not really accumulate any water. This is has a self evaporating system, which is pretty cool. Stay cool.
I believe the unit comes with a tube so if you take that to Home Depot, they should be able to match it but if not, here’s one on Amazon amzn.to/4cqZW5t
You don't need a drain line or to have the port open at all in cool mode. I've ran mine for weeks. It has a self evaporative system and uses the water as a cooling system for certain parts. Though I can't find a straight answer on if you do need a drain line for dry mode or if still functions same way
Youre not gonna get water out of the upper port unless you use dry mode. Im trying to figure out if you need a drain line for dry mode. As i know you dont for cool mode though. Thats the bottom port, and only need to drain it to take the weight out before moving it.. the manual is not clear if its the same for dry mode as it is cool mode
It is true that this unit is self evaporating, which is a plus it’s also super quiet compared to the other ones. Good luck stay cool thanks for watching.
I know and this one’s only 8000 BTU and it works so dang good and it’s quieter than all the other ones that I used. I think it’s a winner. Thanks for watching. Stay cool this summer.
Make sure that you have it on cool lower the temperature till like 62 check your window sleeves to make sure they’re not leaking and you should have the hot air blowing out and the one pulling in and then if it’s not working, take it back and get a new one this room about 350 400 ft.²
@@itsmelili326- E5 means the water is full inside ( therefore ac stopped) - just need to drain it and ac will start working again. Unless it's in a really hot humid area, the water should not be full too often ( there is a moving device that splashes the water inside onto the heated coil to cool and evaporate).
I used 3/8 inch polyethylene tubing on my Toyotomi portable heat pump that comes in 100 ft rolls at Lowe's / Home Depot, with a shorter line available. You have to get a tape measure and measure the size of the drain and get what works for your machine and where you're going to have it drained. Elevated, a short hose to a bucket, if not to the outside, or a drain. Mine drains into the crawl space. Being portable, bring it to the hardware store with you and test it directly at the store for the perfect fit without an error. Remember not to restart it for 24 hours if you tip it over to avoid compressor damage.
@@zAlaska thought it was 2hrs. i don't think we could handle the humidity in this house if we turned it of or 2 hrs, much less 24! NC is brutal. i think elevating it and running a hose into a bucket would be much better. or get a plastic serving tray and open the bottom plug and let it drain.
320 bucks at Costco and this thing is really good. My sister put it in her house which is 1200 ft.² and it’s only supposed to cool 350 but it worked kept the whole place cool in Florida when it’s 90°.
I just bought an LG ac. unit with dehumidifier. but guess what?!!! ... I am not able to use the dehumidifier because it came with NO hose. what a joke. This is like buying a remote control TV but in order to use the tv you need to go and buy your own remote control. Who was the "genius" at LG corporation who came up with this idea? "Let's not include a hose so we can save a dollar"
dude don't you know all got to do lean air conditioner a little forward and drain pan and drain the bottom drain and the top drain you hook a plastic hose into bucket duh
Can we just say thank God for air conditioning! I mea seriously how miserable would life be without it.
Especially this summer it’s supposed to be a hot one. Good luck stay cool.
I would literally die with my health condition. Thank god for ac

It's it still self evaporating in dry mode or do you need to hook a drain line to the upper port?? The manual is not clear at all
Thanks for your videos. I recently purchased this and you helped me make the decision to buy and have made it so much easier for me to use. How low did your temperatures get using? Mine went from 88 degrees in the house to 75.
We reset it at like 72

One is for condensation off of the coils I believe and the other is a dehumidifier from what I understand. Good luck thanks for watching.

I’ve had this same one for a week. What a champ this unit is. The manual states you don’t have to drain it. And I haven’t

Is that water from running the AC only or did she run the Dehumidifier?
We ran the AC by itself, but for two weeks and it did not really accumulate any water. This is has a self evaporating system, which is pretty cool. Stay cool.
mine drips out a full gallon in a day on cool. I need to know what size tubing to buy for it to have a better drip syystem

It worked for me! I cleaned vent too!
Excellent!
Excellent glad to hear it. Stay cool.
The room is about 1200 ft.² believe it or not and this thing cooled it I was amazed good luck thanks for watching. Stay cool.
It should come with two flex hoses if it’s a dual hose
What temp are you running it at?
We had it down to like 65
A 16mm (5/8”) tube fits the back drain spout.
Excellent tip thanks for watching
Draining isnt really nessasary unless the "P1" code, but its up to you.
Yes, these these are self evaporating, which is good and they’re quiet
We bought same model and its not cooling what should we do

Clean filter. I thought mine was hopeless but I drained Lil water from bk and cleaned filter and it's just perfect now and feels cooler
This model operates without draining. It evaporates the condensation that it creates.
Yes, true it is a self evaporating model, which is an awesome feature plus it’s super quiet. Stay cool.
Not mine. It reads E5 and shuts off each day since purchase. Costco, 4 days ago. Lucky you
