I have a completely different model, but I did what you said and saw if its just slightly off level... and it was. I put something under it and made it level and the leaking stopped! 🙌 thankyou!

I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Thanks for posting this video. We have the identical unit. It started shutting off all the time. Wife had placed it on a wheeled dolly and it was not level. I bought this used awhile back. The air output while ice cold is not overly powerful so was wondering if that internal cover you removed may be clogged up. Anyway, thanks again.

Mine leaked a small amount of water at the bottom recently in very high humidity and dew point levels. I have a newer portable a/c which is self-evaporating. Well as I went to pick the thing up and put it onto a pan, the hose disconnected from the back of the unit! It must have not been on there securely. After turning off the unit and re-affixing the hose all was well again and no leaking in the same weather conditions. Those accordion-like hoses even on these newer models can be tricky. And after weeks of moving it around here and there to clean around it, it must have loosened which caused the slight leak. I now keep a weight in front of the unit to keep it from moving around, giving it less of a chance to stretch out the hose and cause it to loosen. No leaking and just a very small amount of condensation at the top of the vent now.
2024 - still saving lives. Exact same unit, exact same problem. Poured chemicals in the little hole - still clogged. Hit it with compressed air and hallelujah.

We have the same air conditioner having the same problem… and also have cats that clogged up our filters, that i didn’t keep up with cleaning as much as i should have… (Mom was sick and passed, etc).. I appreciate you showing this.. much too complicated for me to fix and I’ve had it for 8 yrs.. I think i will buy a new one and make sure i take better care of it…. Ugh… money i don’t have but i don’t have one of you around lol..

I'm in Michigan. Won't drain a single cup for months, then there will be a week where I'm draining 8 cups every few hours. I seriously need to find a way to elevate it and just have a bucket to drain in
In Michigan as well. Still use this unit everyday and don’t need to drain. The higher the humidity in the area it’s in will cause more water. Put it in fan mode a hour a day to help. You may have another issue as well. I do know some ppl elevate em and keep the drain open in very high humidity conditions. Hope this helps buddy
@@FerKurl watching this made me real suspicious of mine. I can tell you I didn't maintain it well and it wasn't level. Just making sure it was level went a long way...along with cleaning the filters.

I took mine apart cleaned all the dust it leaks off the top thing just like this guys and i have a different model i ran it outside and think i have possibly fixed the problem i will put it inside and run it when i need to on a hot evening when i go to sleep and see what happens.

A free cool tip 😎, get that exhaust hose more isolated so the hot hose is not heating up the room again🥵

Maybe insulate the hot hose to stop heat from warming room back up.
Just so u know u can take out second filter without taking it apart. Once u take out first one u see a finger Grove on the bottom side location just pull it out. Thx for video I need to clean my coils from 10 pounds of dog hair I bet.

Ours is leaking nonstop out of the upper drain. Any idea why?
Means your air is humid and the unit doesn’t keep up by evaporating alone. You need a tube/hose that fits the upper drain and a bucket to collect water.
Mine filled with water but leaked from everywhere but the drain pipe. Lol. And it's leaking a weird goo. Any idea whT that is?
@P.90.603 So, I took the front and back cover and cleaned the shit out of it. The drain pan was clogged and overflowing. Idk what the goo is from, it looks like mucus but there was a ton of it and once I cleared it all out, it's been running like a dream since.
I'm in way over my head i cant find that first drain to clear...the turquoise thing, heating rlement im assuming...can't get it unhooked...please help of course im doing this on the hottest day of the year :(

No. They produce water via condensation. The water is then removed through evaporation but depending on humidity and use they can overfill with water and shut down. Or in some cases the shut off float switch is sticky and doesn’t shut off and pours water on your floor
Im trying to replace my hose but I can't figure out the hose size.
If you google your model you can probably find parts like the hose. Duct tape for temporary fixes

So while posting videos on teaching how to do things, throw it all in there. Add the obvious in your videos. It’s doesn’t hurt to have or to know that “extra obvious” information. *When the A/C is on it's side, the refrigerant flows to parts of the system where it shouldnt be.* *Thats why they tell you not to use a new unit right after you unpack it, but to have it stand vertically for a day to let gravity drain the coolant back to where it was designed to be.*
