The Grammy-winning guitar virtuoso plays four songs, including “Crooked Tree,” from the 2022 album of the same name, plus a new song-“Where Did All the Wild Things Go?”-from her forthcoming album.
20:13 Incredible! Absolutely beautiful work! I’m so glad that Molly and Kyle, who are both extremely talented, got together! They seem to feed each others fire. Keep it up, keep exploring and keep finding that new sound in, what might be called, old music. Bluegrass is a wonderful, blooming flower, that’s always fresh and new! You can keep it alive and growing! This is for those who really love exceptional music, like me!!!!!!
What a great duo...Got the pleasure of picking with Kyle some at the CHS bluegrass Fest and what a nice guy with mega-talent. Their voices and picking styles really to together!
I'm a lifelong musician, and I play guitar and piano and sing. But Molly writes the best lyrics for Bluegrass Music, I literally laughed out loud, then cried with laughter! I really admire her talent and ability to compose and perform.
I just love it that they put this set together and in such a nice intimate home type environment. and two of our top bluegrass musicians for these day and times. They never cease to amaze me with their talent!
Can tell you like Neil Young. Just watched Helpless, and Dooleys is Ohio. Excellent, you really are a breath of fresh air to a 73 year old Brit guitarist.
If you want to hear Molly as a kid, check those "Tuttles with AJ Lee" vids going back 12 yrs. AJ Lee now has her own amazing touring band, Blue Summit. Sullivan Tuutle is in it.
At 11:00 Molly talks about "Dooley" that she listened to when "young." She should have given credit - that song was by The Dillards, a very talented bluegrass/roots/country rock band especially successful in the late 1960s. Try to collection album "There Is a Time (1963-70). A very fine early version of the band had Rodney Dillard, Doug Dillard, Byron Berline, Dean Webb, as well as Mitchell Jayne. Enjoy!
Bluegrass rocks! I'm 60yr old . Bluegrass wasn't cool. Started on electric bass. Missed proms, yeah! Had a show and cake walk for the local Ruritan club. Yes, I'm bitter. But , if you ever went to a Bluegrass Festival, you would understand!!!😊😊😊
11:25 Everytime I hear Dooley's Farm start up... I can't help but hear Neil Young "This summer, I hear the drumming / Four dead in Ohio…" That said the rest is purely MTGH. Sounding incredible as always.
From one of the wild things you're talking about I just have to say...what a great lyric! Stay wild guys!🤠🤪🙃🤟🎸🎶🏴 ...and the same for Crooked Tree. Sweet!👍
She's coming home in December, and playing a club in Menlo Park... sold out so fast, it's obvious she should book bigger venues. The church I first heard her play over a decade ago is 10 times the size of this nightclub😂
@@mbsnyderc I heard the interview and am familiar with Dooley. However, the content of the song, including the setting, mentions of Vietnam, and shifting from moonshine to cannabis production, is virtually the same. I wonder if she's even heard the track.
Molly has always been a stellar guitarist, but her stage confidence and her vocals have definitely grown.........
We all know how good Molly is on the guitar but must give props to kyle on the banjo
Kyle is great. So tasteful
I diffenitly agree with you. I like alot of his solo stuff. I would like to hear new music by Kyle. (Resent)

He's been around for a long time killing it..I knew him befor I knew molly.. Just saying..
His solo stuff is rad. He's sooo good.
I never thought that one guitar and one banjo could sound so full. But you also have two great voices. Your arrangements are terrific!
Simply fantastic , wonderful , thanks Molly for all the joy , you've brought me & so many others , thank you ,moe
I would like to see Molly Tuttle and Alison Krauss perform together,
and I bet a lot of other people would, too.
Oh yea
They may be rooted in bluegrass, but their level of talent takes them way beyond!
"Where Did All the Wild Things Go" hits hard!
Five of the wildest things went into this band. And it really works.
I don't know how Molly holds on to her pleck. She must have that thing glued to her fingers! Wonderful player & a beautiful soul!
This group has quickly became my favorite band. LOVE their music. Very special talent.
It's literally impossible not to love this ..
They are such amazing musicians
This is freaking golden , Don't know why there's not more comments
Incredible. Molly is amazing and its fun to hear her in a duo setting. Kyle is also killin it on banjo.

Love the banjo on this SO much!
This is really, really good, enjoyable music. If I wasn't already a fan of Molly, I'd be one after watching this.
I just love it that they put this set together and in such a nice intimate home type environment. and two of our top bluegrass musicians for these day and times. They never cease to amaze me with their talent!

There's a clip on YT titled 'Tuttle Kids play Diamond Joe', where one of her brothers does a great job playing a guitar that's almost as big as him!
@@sadie376 I first saw that one about 10 yrs ago. That's Sullivan. He still plays with his dreadnought in that position.
@@alan4sure I bet he's grown into it by now!
;-)
When the hair in the back of my neck stands up listening to that pleck, I know I am hearing magic.
Wull, that does it. I'm a Molly Tuttle fan.

From one of the wild things you're talking about I just have to say...what a great lyric! Stay wild guys!🤠🤪🙃🤟🎸🎶🏴
...and the same for Crooked Tree. Sweet!👍
Maybe they should have played Devils Right Hand.
U so 😎
She's coming home in December, and playing a club in Menlo Park... sold out so fast, it's obvious she should book bigger venues. The church I first heard her play over a decade ago is 10 times the size of this nightclub😂
The third track is basically a rehashing of Steve Earle's classic Copperhead Road.
It's more an update to this song.th-cam.com/video/_6_hXjOBAMI/w-d-xo.html

Would love to see you sing and play with Isbell one day…

Hair is getting better Kyle
