@EclipseHedgehog its somber cause it's mick Gordon looking back at his work with killer instinct before he left. The guitars i like to think is him disappearing into a storm of rock roll
Jago (and Orchid) dad was american, Jago mom is stated to be asian but it was never revealed were she was born (could be chinese, korean, philippine, japanese or from any other asian country). Jago mom was killed by Gargos (or one of his omens) and he was raised in the tibet by the monks of the tiger (who worshipped Gargos without knowing it). So in a nutshell, he is asian american but raised in the Tibet.
2:42 - 3:29 The first part is daunting, the last part is emotional. But, this part is where the hero momentarily turns the tide. Seriously, the instrumentals, the chants, then the lyrics come back in with those on top of that. You can easily imagine the intensity of the fight skyrocketing here.
There's another layer of emotions on the official soundtrack version. After the end of this theme, there's a few minutes of silence to it. Afterwards, it picks back up as a sombre, acoustic version of the KI theme plays, signifying Mick Gordon's work is finished. A sweet lullaby and goodbye. Love this man.
The entire song feels like an unwilling monster momentarily remembering themselves, suddenly having the brutality of what they are now, and the soul of who they truly are. Like a werewolf monk. And at 4:00 you hear both the beast and the person in complete unison. In PERFECT balance of both.
It almost makes me wish that instead of Omen taking over or Jago fully repelling him. A balance was achieved for that part of the song to fit even more.
Everytime I listen to Omen's theme I always imagine it to be the perfect song for the White Scars (Essentially Space Mongols) from Warhammer 40k, and I absolutely love it

+Sateki Taulanga Depends on your definition of "Weak"..probably meant weak in that Jago was not "Strong Enough" to let Omen's power flow through him, making Jago's "Virtue" weakness.
When the music gets more calm a bit after 4 minutes, I picture Omen and Jago realizing that their power together could beat Gargos, so they decide to merge into Shadow Jago and kill Gargos, then go their separate ways.
that makes so much sense, i can see that happening now. and when the beat comes back in, that's when Shago emerges and goes in on Gargos and when it fades that's when they go their separate ways.
Slow Poison as shown in Shadow Lords and just the story in general, Omen shows signs of wanting to work for himself, and if Omen is your captain or just part of your party, he taunts Gargos after and before a fight. Omen has these feeling due to being part of Jago once, as Omen is the incarnation of all Shadow Jago's past fights, this also gave Omen all of Jago's memories, this gave Omen an obsession to have a full body, like Jago. So in short, Omen is the Herald of Death.
I think this theme represents Jago while possessed by omen. Gargo's theme is played while maintaining elements of Jago's monk theme while also retaining the same lyrics, just reflecting his international conflict. By the way it changes at 3:53 I would say that's when Jago gained freedom. That peace and calmness doesn't last too long but now the song sounds more like his original theme minus the vocals. The end music almost sounds joyous. I like to think this theme represents freedom after an endless struggle.
In the story, Omen actually gains free will from having been inside Jago and chooses to go against his master, Gargos. While not allying himself with the heroes, Omen is now his own man... demon... person, with his own individuality. Having had a taste of human emotions, he no longer chooses to obey the commands of Gargos. Side note: After this newly-gained freedom, Omen has a crush on Sadira. Probably sounds a lot more childish when I type it out like that, but it isn’t fan fiction. He genuinely finds her attractive, in his own weird, transcendent, spiritual way, I suppose.
Esteban Romero Jago has a noble spirit, kinda like Ryu. So a demon becoming less evil and more sentient because of that is cool, I think. That Sadira bit came out of a piece of lore from the Shadow Lords mode. I forget the exact “archive” or “manuscript” or whatever they’re called, but yeah, it was a noteworthy advancement. Perhaps in the future, Jago and Omen could agree to become allies in order to defeat a common foe, and maybe form Shadow Jago again? Or a stronger version? It’s cool to think about.
@@EnderTitan So Omen was inside Jago's body, but Jago kinda kicked him out at one point? His Omen in the game Jago's body being possesed by Omen? Or is he a separate being?
Light Omen is a separate being. Shadow Jago is Jago’s body being possessed by Omen. Jago kicked Omen out of his body, returning to normal, but now Omen can transform into Shadow Jago (apart from Jago). It seems to be that whenever Omen possesses someone, he gains their body as a new form that he can morph into, even when he is not currently possessing them. At least that is what I understand from Shadow Lords. Hopefully that makes sense.
This song is great for waking up. It starts up with a few smooth notes to gently start to wake you up, then the guitars and drums kick in for the full awakening. And just in case you were still dozy, it goes: YEAAAAHHHHWAAAAA! DOMO! MOTHERFUCKING JAGO!

*stuffed with cake*
Me: Ah um tha herldh uf Grghos!
I want to like but I cannot possibly destroy perfection....(thu March 5 2020.......I still see the 69 likes)
Has anyone noticed that the lyrics actually sound DEMONIC in the high combo part?
CaptainDemo779 It's tibetan throat singing done by a death metal singer. It's supposed to sound wierd.
I know! It's great for Omen.
+CaptainDemo779
And me
+CaptainDemo779 I actually know the guy who provided the vocals (De Leon). He said that the majority of it is basically gibberish and phonetics based on Tibetan chanting.
This is what fentanyl sounds like.
Man this is just a masterpiece.
This song made me love Omen
+Rasamatazz Me too! :D I don't play as him though.
As well as Shadow Jago.
If I didnt know this was from a fighting game I would seriously think this is some vampire stuff
2:00 Gargos theme from KI 2 makes this so beautiful
Something is different about this one tho, if you listen to the trailer version it sounds alot better
Woah, this version kicks ass of all kinds. Why the hell is the part from the beginning and 4:35 not in the game!? It would be so hype whenever you (or the opponent for that matter) gets a second wind via C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!, COUNTER BREAKER! or even SHADOW COUNTER! and is rewarded with this portion of the song dynamically kicking in.
4:13 Panties, where are you going? PANTIES, COME BACK!!!!
+PouresMaggie *catches ze panties and hands them to you before anyone notices*
TheEmeraldPirate777 They slipped through my jeans, I swear! *bows* Thank you, kind sir. If you mention this to anyone, there will be blood....
PouresMaggie Yanderes, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy....
Who knows....she should be a Yangire.......

WELCOME TO THE STAGE SHOW
1:46 SODA! CHOCOLATE SHAKE! SODA! CHOCOLATE SHAKE!
That's what I heard too
I can hear “Soda” but not “Chocolate Shake”, which is a shame because this would be funny as fuck
Don’t know how I got here but I love it !
Welcome now bow before the herald of gargos

Bow before the Barrel of Wargos
1:58 Gargos opens a portal and samples his theme, Roars of approval are bellowed from Omen
4:35 thru the end such masterpiece
Honestly I think Omen's one of the best new additions to Killer Instinct that the folks over at Iron Galaxy made.

4:35 is glorious!
I'm not a doom or killer instinct fan, but I'll be god DAMNED if I wasn't a Mick Gordon fan.
This man really wants you to know he's the herald of Gargos.
LUGGA LUGGA
WUGGA TUGGA
You have good taste in music
Basically Jago's theme on steroids.
Why has it taken me so long to realise at 2:10 Gargos's OG theme is actually playing
I know the lyrics are basically Tibetan gibberish, but I love how with this one it does sound like he’s saying COWER and Jago. As if either Jago should cower before Gargos (or at least his herald), or people should now cower before Shadow Jago.
1:52 Sounds like "Shago!! Shadow Jago, Shadow Jago, Shadow Jago!"
Mick built-ups bring tears to my eyes!
Perfect song for the Mongols when in battle against anyone who gets in their way to expand their empire back in the day.
I may not like death metal... but the friggin atmosphere of awesomeness coming from the synergy of sounds slamming into my auditory cortex is simply too much.
*smacks that save button*
Lol same
This isn’t death metal by a damn sight lmao
The theme encapsulates really well the inner fight between Jago and Gargos influence, the parts were the chanting and the traditional instruments hit is were Jago is gaining the upper hand
this song is fucking amazing
This game is coming back with a new update!
Just like mario kart 8 and grand theft auto V
This theme is so powerful
