Oshite mairu is somewhat more like 'Impertinently advancing (on you)', or more translation-friendly, 'Have at you'. Its really archaic japanese that you usually attribute to something one would say at the start of a duel or battle. "The end has come" has been a mistranslation since day 1, since the translators ArkSys hires are pretty awful tbh.
i cant seem to find any way to translate "Oshite Mairu" into either "Have at you" (Impertinently advancing) or "the end has come". It seems Hakumen also says "Oshite Mairu" in his but the english translation is "The time has come" or some such. Not saying you're wrong...cuz..you probably know a lot more than i do and i'm not solely using google translate...since..we all know how poor that can be. Hell i wouldnt put it past Susano'o to say "Have at you" anyway, even though it might sound off...it does sound something a "godly being" could use at the start of a fight after a monologue
@@LILKJ111 In Blazblue universe one of BIG BAD GUYS is Terumi Yuuki. Now there was earlier told there is some secret to true identity of Terumi. That secret was he was True Original Susanoo - however he left Susanoo Unit (Big armour), because he couldn't do shit while he was in it (bit more complicated story). Some more story shit happening along, Alucards get Susanoo Unit (big armour), and then Rachel puts in Jin into armour, who becomes known as Hakumen. Now in Central Fiction, Terumi using weapon that does damage directly on soul, kills off Hakumen without destroying armour, freeing it up and goes into his original body. Thus that's it. Susanoo is True Form of Blazblue Big Bad Guy.
The only reason why this edginess works, it's because this time around the subject it's more than capable of back up his threats and will do more than just try to fulfill them. This turns him into ironically enough a legit cool character with no irony.
Also is that stage implying they directly reach the theshold of the boundary? Epic shit. As a song, just fucking love this. Really suits Terumi. It seems to be a mix of the thrashiest heavy metal and screamo with the most delicate and refined epitomes of traditional japanese musical composition. Fun fact: Yuuki Terumi's name translates from japanese to something along the lines of "Beautiful Shrine Revenant/Spectre/Ghost"

Since his drive revolves around him "unlocking" his powers (which I would assume would link to how he is trying to properly merge back with his old body), if he was to fully merge with it, would he have access to the defensive drive that Hakumen uses as well, alongside the more brutal offensive drive he has now?

Kokuujin: Yukikaze is Jin's counter, and Kokūjin: Yukikaze is Hakumen's counter. Even more, Hakumen's drive that allows him to destroy projectiles is tied to his sword, again not the suit.

I love his brutal martial arts moves; crescent kicks, axe kicks, backhands, leg sweeps and palm strikes, all mixed with sword and energy attacks. He's truly an edgy and awesome character to play. I also like that he starts each round restrained and gets more powerful as you unlock his specials, and the order you unlock the specials in matters depending on who you're matching against. Also his aesthetic rocks
I think the way Susano'o charges his mouth is pretty badass also imagine him doing that whole holding a guitar, it not only fit the pose but would match the song pretty well

Very interesting the part of man and alien being. I think is something that Mori would use as part of the lore. In the story itself all when to shit because humanity tried to contact "god" and the beyond, man making contating something alien. And the susanoo armor itself ( an alien device) is capable of being used by mankind...

Y'know, i sorta feel bad for terumi, all this time he was just a god created for one purpose, destruction, his entire beginning and ending was to cause pointless destruction of anything the amaterasu unit made, bound to the susano'o unit, he was effectively a prisoner of his circumstances, and no matter what he destroyed, he could never escape the fact that his freedoms were nonexistent, no matter what he did or why he did it, it was all for the amaterasu unit's benefit. to have one's existence tied to destruction without meaning, to have one's freedoms prohibited by them, the idea that your every action benefits someone other than you without even a shred of purpose for oneself must have been maddening. Imagine having to tolerate billions of years of just that, being somebody else's destroyer, a dog without a point or purpose save what one's master dictated and never really having a say in anything you did. it'd have driven me batty too.
Also, Susanoo it's somewhat cold and collected as well as eloquent if still wrathful and homicidal. But the susanoo unit as Hakumen can also attest it's bound to have some sanity and focus element on his host, it enforces mental health. Jin it's a prick so Hakumen being somewhat more heroic it's really meaningful, in short, when you take away the sanity of the Susanoo unit, what's the result for the original Susanoo? A bloodthirsty, petty, sadistic and hateful maniac Yuuki Terumi.

Andrei Cirstescu Also, bit of a small spoiler so be careful if you don't wanna be spoiled. But Ragna was actually going to go fully berserk Black Beast and outright Kill Hazama for torturing Rachel. It was here that Naoto had to forcibly calm Ragna down (not kill but basically get him to chill out) in order to save his home world. Cause if Ragna were to have lost his shit right there, ALL other possibilities (which Naoto's world was one of), including the one that they were currently in, would have been destroyed.
Terumi basically OWNED EVERYTHING: He was one of the Original units (THE SUSANO'O UNIT) which helped guard the Amaterasu Unit, he was among the Six Heroes who defeated the Black Beast, AND he was the created the Azure Grimore A.K.A, the Blazblue.
Don't forget that Terumi founded the NOL and Sector Seven during the Dark War days. He also caused the whole series to happen from splitting from his original body, which lead to mankind finding the Susano'o Unit, which lead to mankind learning about his sister, the Amatersu/The Master Unit.

I had mixed feelings about Susano'o. At first I was a little disappointed that the 'boss' wasn't Amaterasu, but then as time passed, I got used to Susanoo. Terumi was the main villain who pulled the strings and caused the disaterous events of Blazblue. I later started to like Susanoo.
Amaterasu was more of a victim than the main antagonist. All Saya/ the original wanted is to be accepted by her creators but due to humanity’s fear and selfish desire of wanting the azure, she created a new world after the original world was burned to ashes by the original black beast

With how dumbed down they had to make every character (RIP Hazama) to compensate for the lack of normal buttons, there's no way Susanoo is getting in with everything intact, and because that game is casual fodder, you can expect him to lose his seals just like how Azrael lost his weakpoints. At best, he's only getting 7 specials (2 EXs and Towering Flames as his "Reversal Action"), Liberating Dagger, and a neutered version of Strike of the Possessed God assuming they don't scrap it for his Exceed Accel like with Azrael.
The voice lines found for her confirmed pretty much all of her stuff. I'm pretty sure I heard most of her spells and specials, so she doesn't seem too butchered.

Oshite mairu is somewhat more like 'Impertinently advancing (on you)', or more translation-friendly, 'Have at you'. Its really archaic japanese that you usually attribute to something one would say at the start of a duel or battle. "The end has come" has been a mistranslation since day 1, since the translators ArkSys hires are pretty awful tbh.

i cant seem to find any way to translate "Oshite Mairu" into either "Have at you" (Impertinently advancing) or "the end has come". It seems Hakumen also says "Oshite Mairu" in his but the english translation is "The time has come" or some such.

@@LILKJ111 In Blazblue universe one of BIG BAD GUYS is Terumi Yuuki. Now there was earlier told there is some secret to true identity of Terumi. That secret was he was True Original Susanoo - however he left Susanoo Unit (Big armour), because he couldn't do shit while he was in it (bit more complicated story). Some more story shit happening along, Alucards get Susanoo Unit (big armour), and then Rachel puts in Jin into armour, who becomes known as Hakumen. Now in Central Fiction, Terumi using weapon that does damage directly on soul, kills off Hakumen without destroying armour, freeing it up and goes into his original body.
Thus that's it. Susanoo is True Form of Blazblue Big Bad Guy.

I also like that he starts each round restrained and gets more powerful as you unlock his specials, and the order you unlock the specials in matters depending on who you're matching against. Also his aesthetic rocks

Y'know, i sorta feel bad for terumi, all this time he was just a god created for one purpose, destruction, his entire beginning and ending was to cause pointless destruction of anything the amaterasu unit made, bound to the susano'o unit, he was effectively a prisoner of his circumstances, and no matter what he destroyed, he could never escape the fact that his freedoms were nonexistent, no matter what he did or why he did it, it was all for the amaterasu unit's benefit. to have one's existence tied to destruction without meaning, to have one's freedoms prohibited by them, the idea that your every action benefits someone other than you without even a shred of purpose for oneself must have been maddening.
Imagine having to tolerate billions of years of just that, being somebody else's destroyer, a dog without a point or purpose save what one's master dictated and never really having a say in anything you did.

Cause if Ragna were to have lost his shit right there, ALL other possibilities (which Naoto's world was one of), including the one that they were currently in, would have been destroyed.

Terumi basically OWNED EVERYTHING: He was one of the Original units (THE SUSANO'O UNIT) which helped guard the Amaterasu Unit, he was among the Six Heroes who defeated the Black Beast, AND he was the created the Azure Grimore A.K.A, the Blazblue.
Don't forget that Terumi founded the NOL and Sector Seven during the Dark War days. He also caused the whole series to happen from splitting from his original body, which lead to mankind finding the Susano'o Unit, which lead to mankind learning about his sister, the Amatersu/The Master Unit.
Imma Xehanort In a sense, Terumi was a bigger threat than Hades Izanami!!
And the part where you said about mankind learning about Terumi's sister, AMATERASU, it is KIND of like RAGNA trying to learn and find out about HIS sister: SAYA who is the ORIGIN of Amaterasu!!
One last thing: AFTER Yuuki Terumi broke free from his "Takehaya Susano'o" form by separating himself from the Susano'o Unit, did JIN KISARAGI use it after Terumi??? *ALSO*, When TERUMI *AND* JIN helped NINE, JUBEI, VALKENHAYN, AND TRINITY defeat the Black Beast, where they BOTH wearing Susano'o Units?? I know *JIN* was wearing the Susano'o armor because *HAKUMEN* was one of the six heroes, so was TERUMI wearing it to become TAKEHAYA SUSANO'O so the heroes would have a better chance???

I had mixed feelings about Susano'o. At first I was a little disappointed that the 'boss' wasn't Amaterasu, but then as time passed, I got used to Susanoo. Terumi was the main villain who pulled the strings and caused the disaterous events of Blazblue. I later started to like Susanoo.
Amaterasu was more of a victim than the main antagonist. All Saya/ the original wanted is to be accepted by her creators but due to humanity’s fear and selfish desire of wanting the azure, she created a new world after the original world was burned to ashes by the original black beast
This the antithesis to the LA version of SUSANOO; all the ham, cheese, and epicness! ^_^

With how dumbed down they had to make every character (RIP Hazama) to compensate for the lack of normal buttons, there's no way Susanoo is getting in with everything intact, and because that game is casual fodder, you can expect him to lose his seals just like how Azrael lost his weakpoints. At best, he's only getting 7 specials (2 EXs and Towering Flames as his "Reversal Action"), Liberating Dagger, and a neutered version of Strike of the Possessed God assuming they don't scrap it for his Exceed Accel like with Azrael.
I think it would be AWESOME to see him in BBTAG!
