One thing for sure is that by the time Nintendo even announces they're gonna announce Switch 2,it's gonna break the internet, guaranteed.
My back log is haunting my dreams, so I'm ok with the wait.

Lowkey, I think February will be the time we get a reveal/direct for Switch 2. I think it’s too late for a 2024 reveal now and January is straight off the holiday season plus DK will be the main focus. March has Xenoblade leaving only February empty, February also happens to be when Nintendo Directs happen so we probably will get Switch 2 reveal then
Also wasn’t it confirmed that the last Nintendo switch direct was the one in September
@@sierrablue2206not confirmed plus it wasn’t even a direct in September, it was a partner showcase in August combined with an Indie Showcase. But considering there was only one direct this year, it’s safe to say that was the last full one for the switch.

The fact that the Switch is now a pop culture icon blows my mind.
I think that'd be the best thing if Nintendo just went in hardcore with the Switch 2 reveal early next year. Showcase everything and all the games that'll be releasing within the launch window. Nintendo has likely been sitting on a LOT of titles for a good while now. Great discussion, OJ!

As excited I am for the Switch successor.
It never ceased to amaze me how many analyst and content creators entertained the idea of a 2024 announcement. (Some I watched said 2024 release) xD
First and foremost Nintendo is a company and it doesn't make financial sense for them to hurt the Switches' last holiday sales.

They know better than anyone that they've struggled to follow up a successful console in the past and is likely one of the reasons why their taking as much time as they need. They've also had a habit of long dry spells between games in a consoles early years because games were'nt ready though that one is likely not going to be an issue based on their output for the Switch and that we know they hold onto games even when completed until the right moment.
Switch 2 or whatever was never gonna be announce before the distractions of the election!
I bet the kamala team was on the phone with Nintendo trying to get it announced for exactly that reason!

I still search amazon for the switch 2 every couple weeks just in case. I managed to snag my ps5 at launch by doing that. Maybe lightning can strike twice as they say.
The original Nintendo Switch will be able to be used as a controller for the Switch 2. That’s how you’re going to be able to play the NSO DS and 3DS games in docked mode. The Switch Lite will all of a sudden become more popular.
I’m looking forward to waiting gives me time to rush through to the end of XbC 3

I can with certainty say that it will be announced sometime between January and March 31st 😂
I don't believe they will show anything on Switch 2 except talks about more on how development cycles are going to be longer.
Updates to the account transfer will be talked about as well. Other than that we won't see it in 2025. They are going to continue to give us new & remasters games. Heck we might get Resident Evil 2 Remake on a physical cartridge announcement next year.👍

So the announcement is going to come out 2025, the console will release 2026 and will be scalped so hard you will realistically get the new switch late 2027.
