i was admitted to davis and purdue both for data science and idk what to pick, which one would you pick (including academics and social life)as social life also matters for me and purdue not having a soccer mens team is a huge bummer and how much do u study on an average per week

Bro, thank you for this! you have no idea how much this helped, every other Purdue vlog I've seen made the school look like a lifeless place and I hardly ever see other black people, but this was so nice to see! Please be honest, how is the school socially? like the energy, the people?
So Purdue its self is lowkey boring…. BUT being apart of a learning community/ frat/ club makes it 10 times better. I’m in the national society of black engineerings it’s so fun. The members get to go on trips to city’s like Chicago and network or go on ski trips. A lot of the black people are in this organization and that’s how you meet everyone. Socially it’s okay if you like to party Purdue is not for you. The energy here is chill nothing crazy ever happens it’s just grind school work tbh and have fun here and there.
I always want to show my friends my life at Purdue, but I never get a chance to film a video like this. I really appreciate your video. It will do a great job explaining how my life is going at Purdue. Also, I am glad to see my friend Joshua in the video! Boiler up!!!

Hi, I have been accepted for FALL 2024. How is your experience as a black person at Purdue. Purdue is 12 hours away from me and I am from the south so I am not used to the less than 3 percent of black students that are at Purdue. I think that’s one of the biggest factors in my decision.
I was the same way! The thing that really persuaded me to come was the national society of black engineers. We are all a really close family and we always have a great time. We have a lot of trips we go on which are really fun such as Chicago, Atlanta, and more places. A lot of my closest friends I met through the program, so don’t worry you will definitely meet a decent amount of black people. It is definitely different though being the minority but you will definitely find your people.

hey! so I've recently been looking into Purdue for their aviation program...(The flight major) Could u tell me some more info on this... weather it is good or not and so on. thxx!
Yeah our aviation program is really good here. Ik someone that flies there own plane for class which is really cool. I believe we are ranked super high out of all the schools as well.

I got into Purdue Engineering at Indianapolis, is that still as good for engineering? Also, do you know how campus is like at Indianapolis??
Yes I would say it’s really good for engineering. You will probably do a lot more hands on projects there. And I have never been to the Indianapolis campus so I’m not sure. But it’s all new so you will be at a really nice college.

My friend in liberal arts said If u do well in your English/language arts it’s not to bad. I would add this isn’t a really big liberal arts school to be honest. For the homework load it’s pretty light as well.

There is not a lot tbh. I would say definitely be active in national society of black engineers if u come. Ik you’re not an engineer but you can still join. But you will meet people from all over the world though so it makes up for it.
Would you say Purdue is very selective? I’d really like to go to Purdue in two years (I’m a junior in hs) and I have a GPA of 3.94 unweighted but my test scores aren’t great, would I still have a chance?
I would say it’s pretty selective. Definitely get your gps as high as possible. It’s still really good so u have a good chance. Depending on your scores for test I would get them above the average SAT at least. And you should be straight!
Am creating a college list and am considering adding Purdue to list. Are you comfortable sharing what you believe were the strongest parts of your application? Good stats, essays, EC? Were you in-state or out of state?
