Can you tell us more about what your studying? Were you in state? (I live in Indiana, and am thinking about applying for Purdue, lol) also what other colleges were you considering?
Definitely! Purdue is great in a lot of aspects but its the people that make the community and honestly, I can’t find a more unified group the Boilermakers hub haha. Also what’s ur major?
Trust me. The campus has limited amounts of things to do. There are barely any local restaurants, Mainly chains. The school has overcrowded classrooms. Purdue has almost no party scene. It’s just a brutal cold place to live.
@@aidanbritton5476 All that is different. Google and Amazon and all those Silicon Valley people hire from Purdue and in the end that's what matters. How much money one makes after college. In US most top colleges seem like impossible to get into and Purdue seems kind of not that selective.

Before I watch this, I have to admit that running into you is one of the reasons I chose Purdue lol Edit: I am sooo happy I chose this school! Just hope I actually have the discipline to do my homework and survive freshman year haha

I don’t wanna assume it happened to u (hopefully it didn’t) but is this to any degree true? Have u ever seen it on campus ? Or is it just made up?
Hey Muhammad, personally, I’ve have not experienced any discrimination. From my experience, Purdue is a diverse and welcoming community where everyone belongs. Purdue is one of the universities in the US with the highest international students enrollment. Because of that, the campus feels very vibrant, interesting and cozy. Obviously, discriminations do exist, I’d be lying if Id said otherwise. However, if you surround your self with the right folks, the chance that you’ll experience it is slimmer.

Sad. Indiana and the whole Purdue brand needs to show more concrete support for Asian Americans beyond just releasing statements. There is no reason for them to hide behind “privacy” of the victim as an excuse that limits you. You can do a lot that does not involve violating privacy! Hey! I just toured there a couple days ago and I loved it so much. The only thing stopping me right now is the out of state tuition price :( is it true that as an engineering major there will be opportunities to offset tuition so it becomes a little more reasonable?
Hmmm, I know you can take jobs on campus or off campus to get more income. Also there are scholarships applications you can fill out (lots of them, i just dont know many personally). So yes? I assume thats what u mean when u said “opportunities”

Hey Doğa, Id defnitely say Purdue is the better one for aerospace related studies. I was also at a point where I was interested in Aerospace engineering. Purdue is definitely the one to choose because Purdue's expertise is broader, we're good at STEM related majors in general and not as niche as Embry
Please don't go to Purdue. Every building is red bricks (except for Krannert). Okay, I am just joking around. I went to Purdue for engineering but later switched to mathematics. I have to admit Purdue's engineering back when I studied there was an extremely disciplined major so students took their study very seriously. Don't mess with the Boilermakers.

The engineering majors used to poke fun of management students because both Krannert and Rawls didn't use red bricks so we considered them to be Purdue wannabies. Do they still prank them like that at this moment or the relationship is more amicable?
You missed a couple of opportunities to provide further information. Please describe in more detail what people who study your major are doing with it. Also, the train going by would have been a good time to talk about some fun Purdue traditions. What the heck is it for? Like is it a shuttle from building to building for students or what? I've never seen anything like that, and would've really enjoyed hearing more about it.

Glad you enjoy it :). Visual design engineering is basically Mechanical and art combine. A similar major is product design/ industrial design but VDE also deals with more engineering and technical side and not just aesthetic

Yep! There’re alot of off campus apartments around Purdue, atleast a dozen as far as I know. Since im currently staying in a dorm, I can’t offer more information than that but i’m sure you can look up some :)

Yes, for example Georgia tech only has about 500 so we’e nearly doubled. Also, even if other colleges also had about 1000 clubs, it wouldn’t make the number 1000 any less significant. That’s a lot of options for you to choose

I’ve always been a city boy so West Lafayette is def different. I like it though, because what you don’ get in a city (vibrancy, walking distance stores, constant events, etc) are made up with close-kitted community, friendly people (Midwestern hospitality) and a tranquil vibe and scenery you don’ normally get in the urban areas

Yes, for example Georgia tech only has about 500 so we’e nearly doubled. Also, even if other colleges also had about 1000 clubs, it wouldn’t make the number 1000 any less significant. That’s a lot of options for you to choose

I’ve always been a city boy so West Lafayette is def different. I like it though, because what you don’ get in a city (vibrancy, walking distance stores, constant events, etc) are made up with close-kitted community, friendly people (Midwestern hospitality) and a tranquil vibe and scenery you don’ normally get in the urban areas
