Chad Smith's really got a good feel for the drums. I've spent countless of hours dissecting this drum track and all the other drum tracks from BSSM and none align to a metronome. I feel like they've manually made a click track with natural timing to get a more 'human / raw' feel for it, and I think that's beautiful. Chad Smith just wouldn't sound the same with a click or if he was quantised.
