- I can safely say this is not how I change tires anymore I recorded this in the beginning of the year and never got around to uploading it. I hope you enjoy my hardships

I learned how to change tyres the hard way too!
This reminds me of how I once tried to change a bicycle's tire. "Should be easy ehh?". But wasn't :D Nice upload :)

Aireisor haha yea luckily I know the trick to them now and when I get a chance I will do a proper Hot To on carting tires
Every kart racer did this.... it’s part of the journey. And now nearly all of us can do it in seconds. It’s a right of passage.

Oh the memories! I miss my kart. I moved to Northern Alabama and don't yet have a place to store it so it is residing at my parents until I cough up for a garage at my apartment.

haa, oh man I feel your pain. MG's are such a PITA the mount! Invest in Tire Tongs, they're rather expensive, but its so worth it!

You should get something called tyre soap which you put on the ridge of the inside of the tyre and it makes it 10 times easier

Take little bites around the whole wheel when trying to pry off tire instead of trying to pop the whole thing off at once...much easier. :)
Terio ...also, spraying the outer edge of the tire with a soap/water mixture will make it much easier to slide on the rim.
No rags but there 2 to your right.. our left. Looks like me changing a tire!

Do you know about tongs they are a great tire changing tool but a bit dare.
You know you can do it by hand right
Look into tire pry'r. we change a set in less than ten minutes. Not cheap but worth every penny.
I do it all by hand now
Fellow Vemme racer, the standard rim's are an absolute bitch to change on somehow! So much easier doing it on Douglas or a set of MXC's

I did it even worse my first time. I think it took me 3hours for a set back in 2001. Now I am under 4 minutes

Dude. You need a plywood box about 8" deep. Cut a hole in that a rim will barely fit through. Put the rimmed tire over the hole. Stomp on it. PRESTO! The rim shoots through the hole leaving the rubber on top of the box.

+announcerjoe that is actually a good Idea. I am pretty efficient with just my hands now but if I am bored I will make that box
it always amazed me how people would take tires off rims. people would struggle so hard. they would use screw drivers, spoons, and more screw drivers. then you have people who build little tools like this. I am over here like wtf guys let me show you how to do it with just your hands in 30 seconds. Get the tools away from the rims. you are destroying them. no tool should ever touch the bead area of a rim.
