Have you ever watched this video? They are laughing behind your back when discussing their crimes and they will do it again once released. Being poor is no excuse for turning to crime, many people there don't have money and don't turn to crime. If you wanted to do a storey, then you should have done women and girls that are locked up in police stations and raped by police, that happens all the time there and they need someone to help them. These guys here will leave prison and re offend until they are caught again. They are not punished enough.
Jel JungleTaktikz I agree and not only that, they have massive problems in there system without corruption, I know someone who committed criminal damage to a flat of someone else I know, the damage in total cost 3k to repair. The offender was arrested and couldn't pay for the damage (if they had, they would have been released and the amount of 3k didn't include labour for repairs or damage caused by water getting in the hole they had created in the building) so was sent to prison for 1 month however, their parents paid an amount of 5k and the criminal was released within 1 week and will not receive any further punishment where as I have had to pay the 3k plus another 6k for medical bills of the inhabitant. I then learnt that any criminal can pay bail to be released until their trial included murderers. So if they have the money, they can commit murder and then be walking the streets to do it again until the date of the trial which could be 8 years or more in the future. I think what you are doing is very noble but on this specific occasion, maybe there are better areas to focus on :-)
8 yrs or more....... wow. even in UK the law is often stated to be "on the side of the criminal" simply due to inept sentencing and unrealistic attitudes towards damage / reparation. For every criminal that is sentenced, many more walk free - I'm wondering if this is down to the sheer number of criminal cases overloading the system? There are many people campaigning at the moment, ordinary concerned citizens trying to change law enforcement so that serious crimes are actually *punished* here in UK - rapists, etc walk free to carry on hurting others yet our police will happily arrest someone over a stolen can of cola or a sandwich. Have you seen "law enforcement" in America where they shoot people (mostly black) for no reason at all? You're correct in that by myself cannot change much, but if enough people try fix these smaller issues of injustice (such as yours) there would be a knock-on effect hopefully creating more confidence in society meaning that people might think twice before causing major issues? Axischilled83 Thats not how bail works here in the PH. You can post bail only on certain crimes punished with a certain penalty below. You generally cant post bail on crimes like murder. There are exceptions to this which i wont go into detail since its lengthy and in practice its for rich people only or those who have enough resources to hire a private lawyer who can devote his entire time handling the case.
